You’re the best artist on here I think you’re a really good person and I like your work very much

I have been drawing for years and heard of the rule of thirds and using odd numbers of items to "balance". But, I learned something new! I never heard about the Golden ratio! Very interesting! I googled it.....wow.....I draw with colored pencil and I will use this in my art. Thank you!! (I have followed you for years....not because I am a painter, but because you have a calming and peaceful video way of having an enjoyment in listening to them :) I draw pets and animals. But I do apply ideas of things I have learned from you :) Thank you! Take care!

Since taking your course, I care so much more about composition 😅 I now find myself stopping to consider placement and how to place and colors next to one another and perspective and everything. It's definitely changed my results so much, even if I was stubborn at first about it. The more you practice with it, I've found the less time you need to take on it too, it becomes a little bit second nature. Wonderful video, thanks Katie!

Love this! As an amateur enthusiast photographer I also have been learning about composition. Another way to draw the viewer in is light. Even a super subtle vignette makes such a difference.

Fitting... I got myself a book, "Mastering Composition", a couple months ago and made a portrait of our dog using the "rule of thirds". I think, once you start digging deeper, you cant unsee all those compositional lines painters use :D

Hi Bianca thanks for your question. Honestly I would probably say no. The course is aimed towards adults ☺️ I don’t think it would resonate with kids. Thanks for asking though!

I personally just paint/draw what I see w/out worrying about the placement of everything. My biggest problem is Proportions i.e. street too short, windows off, head is too big on people...ect. What about drawing just with a paintbrush??
