as a German Detectorist Archaeology is highly affected by the current Zeitgeist, its preferences and limitations often preventing further knowledge where it seems fit if there had been a figure like "Conan the Barbarian" or the "Realm of Aquaman" you would only hear from it if the people who are funding those mighty trustworthy experts and publishers are okay with this ja, no shit, I heard from discoveries made by fellow detectorists which are nothing less than groundbreaking in some cases, but are rejected and ignored bc "wrong" people behind it or "wrong" topic addressed by them made some stunning ones myself, like for instance a whole bunch of relics highlighting the early migration period origins of norse mythology (telling, Edda-related scenes on jewelry - metal is not always silent) .....but that's sadly not celtic, roman or slav enough to be even touched with a ten foot pole by current german experts ......especially not if presented by some rando nonparasite who didn't have to receive other people's money to come up with it .... afaik no remains of Aquamen in front of our coasts tho - only traces of Rungholt, Veneta, the important part of Heligoland etc

Go look at the Eye of the Sahara. Go look at the Tsunami that swept over nearly all of Africa. Idiots!
