Great vid Antonio! Cords are great because you can get both texture and colour in one package. Boots have to be done right for sure, complimentary colour to the overall outfit and not some fad or overly adorned. Sweaters are thee best thing for travelling I've found. Extra layer up top if needed or just wear it alone. I keep telling men summer does not equal winter. I see some still wearing tan suits and summer weights in the winter. We don't get snow but it does get cold so they shiver and I smile! I was wearing a sport jacket the other day and a much younger man touched it and said "Is that real wool?" (It is.) It's a thicker jacket perfect for cold weather and a little older but still classic design to match my age. I also wore my Dad's overcoat from the 60s and it still fits like a glove. Classic style and looks almost brand new.

Hmm.. true, style is easier in colder climate. ;-) Iceland is on the verge of the inhabitant border. Friend of mine from the States, says style is very simple in Iceland, everyone wear black. Weather here in Iceland is unpredictable, either it is fair, bad or worse. (!!) And price of clothes here in Iceland, not to mention fashion clothes, unbeliveable. Everytime an icelander goes abroad, that means shopping time. Decades ago, I was exchange student, where the climate was 40°C / 104°F. Complete differrent fashion. I could get used to that.
Myself (as I've stated before) I look to Steve McQueen.. Especially his look in 'Bullitt'.. Nice, dark well fitted jeans. Dessert boots or Chelsea boots, solid color plain turtleneck, t-shirt or polo... and Cardigan.. maybe tweed, or corduroy jacket (linen if it's a warmer climate.. Both in shirt & jacket) ... Top off with leather belt and appropriate watch (both matching color w/ footwear)... Simple, easy & confident.. Just like the King of Cool himself. Thanks for mentioning Timex AND the Casio G-Shock... I'd like to throw in Seiko, Armitron and Citizen into that mix as well.

If you are outside the US you need to be aware when ordering from Thursday Boots they're pricing is US Dollars, when you order the confirmation page gives you only the US Dollar value, even the confirmation email does not state actual cost or specify the price as in US Dollars. As an Australian I bought a pair which was confirmed as $235.00 but the actual cost including postage was $408.00 AD.
Fantastic as always, always a fan of a leather jacket with a jumper/sweater. Great suggestion!

I’m a wrestler and actor so I’m going for a “modern athlete” approach with my uniform. I wear suits but use thin lightweight hoodies as my “dress shirt” (Tailored Athlete has some awesome ones). I’ll throw a pocket square in the jacket and a nice watch on my wrist. Put on a pair of boots to finish it off.
I like the fact that you exude a sense of confidence in your knowledge in clothing, I live in hellishly hot California, and a lot of your recommendations pertained to long sleeved options. What are your recommendations for looking good and casual if you are restricted to shorts and non-long sleeves?
im in my late 20s and i’ve always told people i didn’t like wearing hoodies often because i felt too adolescent and i never knew how to explain that feeling without sounding like an old man
I’m gonna be honest here, the most successful people I know, you wouldn’t be able to tell from what they wear. They’re usually in shorts or sweat pants, and people fawn over them and treat them like kings because they know who the person is. It is in fact the most overdressed people that I usually suspect aren’t as important and are making up for something. That being said, I dress very nicely for work. But once I’m out of it I look like a completely different person, even way younger just because I’m wearing a t shirt.

The closest comparison to how I dress is like I'm about to go on stage at an 80's or 90's metal/nu metal concert, or like I'm hanging around the house. The exception is if I have to dress a certain way for work. I've got my own style, and as long as I'm comfortable, I see no point in changing it.
Immediately recommending this channel to my bf. More men need content for them like this that treats them with respect by default.
Unfortunately not a single one can be worn in the 100 degree summer

Casioak is my go-to-watch too for the "hard work". For more casual look, it's Timex Marlin! For the price point of 150-200 Euro (Europe), it's the best looking watch one can buy I believe. Your Orient Ray 2 is a good traditional watch when suiting up!
I found adding better looking t-shirts (Black/White), real watches (not a smart watch), and upgrading my shoe selection really makes me standout among my peers. Oh, and investing into good sports jackets and coats for layering is essential. Layering is an underrated style tip but it works wonders. Upgrading your style does not need to be complicated, I usually look to keep my outfits simple, clean, and fitted.

My principle and philosophy is "You get treated what you allowed other to perceive as" You look like sh*t, felt like sh*t, and expected to be treated like sh*t.. most people with confidence issue often kept the vicious cycle going on like that.. That's all began when I always being treated like shit by everyone when I was younger.. no pride, no hope, got into identity crisis, then there's this alter-ego of a movie actor kicks in.. Later it evolved into a well cultured upper class man that I later learned have some eerily resemblance to a Patrick Bateman from American Psycho, Except that doesn't stray away from reality.. My great grandparent was a millionaire in the 50's and dad was a mid-upper class entrepreneur, I have no insecurity equivalent of "how paul allen's card looks like" just don't care to compare to other.. I have my own standards and yes, I do have a British accent after the transformation in my alter ego..
I can actually attest to what he said about the jacket from experience I own a swayed jacket and i always feel a little more well put together when I have it on. Though I think that mostly comes from the confidence I have that I look good in it though.
Well i own two toolwatches that i use on a rehular basis a Tacticalfrog H5 Captain Willard homage (my favourite watch, i egen used it when my wife and i went on a cruise 2022) and a Octopus Kraken Q010 Titanium homage to a Tudor Pelagos 39mm titanium for over 3000 swedish kronas it is the most expensivd watch i ever bought. My everyday at work watch is a Casio G-Shock Mudman a birthday present from my wife a couple of yearz bsck.
I really like those lightweight, 4-pocket shirt-jackets you were showing. Do you have a favorite or a ranking of ones you would recommend?
I have not updated my Wardrobe in Years and never realy minded how i look, due to not going outside for anything other than Grocery shopping. I have some things from this Video. A Flatcap, (Plastic) G-Shock Watch, 1 well fitting jeans and some Casual Shirts. The Rest is Lounge/Sportswear. I can pull off 1 Business casual Outfit.
G-Shock are the ultimate tool watches. However, I do love my Tudor BB GMT!
My casual is the same as my work. Square toe slip on work boots, cargo jeans and single color cotton shirt or random tshirt that has signed a lifetime contract. Day in and day out.
I wear a polo in summer, flannel in winter. And always with jeans.
Smile, be sincere, and bring positive energy to any occasion. Sometimes people get stuck in the negativity, and don't even realize it. As for casual wear, I like what you said Antonio about your geographic location. One size does not fit all. I too live in the upper mid-west, Minneapolis. It's not a Mecca of high fashion, so breaking the bank to look smart isn't an issue. Clean, wrinkle free, and a little color coordination will take you a long way. (Hopefully, your shoes are also clean and wrinkle free. 😉) A couple of things that I have changed is, NOT wearing golf (Performance) polo's unless I'm playing golf. Absolutely no cargo shorts, crocs, sandals, flip flops, or wrap-around sunglasses...and as always, no hoodies. I'm 67, but don't want to look like a 12 year old going to hockey practice. All the best Antonio, and gents!
I love this type if video, but I did notice that almost every option you showed seemed to be east coast centric. Do you have any west coast ideas or could make a video with a west coast focus, as I live in southern California. Thanks.
Headwear is something I struggle to break free from using the baseball cap. My "uniform" is jeans and a company branded T-shirt with brown boots, paired with an analog watch. Being bald, not sure what else to wear. Winters I love being able to use beanies.

if you bald it's completely valid reason for headwear don't feel bad about it
I am working class manager and it astounds me how even dressing to that message that folks in more white collar fields are not really communicating well with their clothes
The collar on your jean jacket looks sharp.
Can you please identify the brown 4-pocket 3/4 waxed cotton coat in the video (7:39). I used to have one similar from Banana Republic and really enjoyed it. I tried to replace it but it was discontinued.
I noticed when I started dressing up I got way better responses and more options in connections. Dress for the part.
I would be interested if you had any advice for the blue collar man. Specifically dress/casual, as when one is on a date or out on the town. Something besides a nice button down with jeans and boots with a decent leather jacket. Thanks
What if you live in a tropical climate with a hellish 41C daily temperature? Tank top, shorts and flipflops is the only option.
That's great for winter and colder climates, but live in a hot, humid city... maybe not the worst, but I certainly _hate_ feeling it. Walking around feeling hot, tired,, smelly, sweaty and sticky having to take off layers and carrying them around like a dork. Using a stylish jacket or swaeater is always an easy way to look good, sure, but practicality always drags me down to using a t-shirt and shorts. Do you have some cool breezy options I'm missing?
So ideas of better casual when it's 35c/95f and sunny almost every day? Also a watch would leave a white band after being in the sun a bit
I love G-shocks. I've been through many watches over the years, and they typically ended up broken, within a week. I don't mind an analog display, but I hate the ones with fake dials (I once had an Invicta, like that). I found G-shocks when desperately searching for a timepiece that can't handle work as well as I do. I don't do any diving, but the fact that it's beyond waterproof offers even more peace of mind. It's lasted me at least four years, and counting. My specific watch has multiple versatile tools besides telling the time, including an alarm, stopwatch, timer, and even options to display days of the week/month at any given time. Personally, I prefer to go cheap on fashion, and all out on function. It's been especially productive for me, in today's market. Most of what I like, I find in thrift stores, and most of what I need is much more serious investment I tend to make online (higher end than I can just buy locally). Otherwise, I'm nearly guaranteed to lament ever even acknowledging it in the long run, for either scenario.

Timex has Shock watches too and there are the new G-Shocks from Casio 2100, which look 10x better than the original watches. You may look into them if you want to upgrade your style a little bit.
I work in the music industry full time. I am in my early 30s. I wear big combat boots cause I like them. Usually a band T, plaid over shirt or hoodie. Sleeves up. A beanie or cap. I have half sleeves, finger tattoos, and 7 piercings, 2 of which are 3/4th gauges. I dress EXACTLY as I wished I could have as a teenager. Trust me when I say, especially as a 6'2 man in a kick a$$ career, it so is not an issue. Quite the opposite. The day you catch me in a monkey suit or some generic casual friday nonsense will be at my funeral, where my friends dress me that way as a prank, cause they know how much I hate it. I never am accused of being immature or lazy. In fact most of my guy friends are envious of my job and lifestyle. I look like a musician but trust me, that isn't what I do. I am very much an industry "suit" the "snake without ears" type these days. A ta glance you may assume I am unemployed and spoiled. I get away with it due to literally not caring and loving my life. I advise any other men simply do the same. People will be attracted to your confidence and lack of conformity to social norms. The only bad way to dress is in clothes you hate wearing and aren't comfy in.

As a tall man you are an exception. You basically live from that tall-man-halo-effect, where you can dress like ever you want and you will still stand out in the crowd. If I would dress like you (5'8, 36 years old), people would start to treat me disrespectful. Been there, done that. Since I look always to be dressed at least top 20% well, people started threating me much, much better! For you it's optional. For me it's a necessity!
You look super cool in the first few minutes of the video.

Look at you with one of the OG Zelos's 👍🏼
When I worked at a haberdashery, we had many customers who said they usually wear Baseball caps but are unsure what style of classic cap would fit them best. We would suggest a Pub Cap (like a cross between a Baseball cap and a Newsboy (or "Eight Quarter") cap), and after trying it on, they usually fell in love. I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to step up the style of their headwear from a Baseball cap, because *you're already used to how the cap feels.*
First!! Because I liked and subscribed. And so should you!!

Thank you!!!
I like Thursday leather jackets. They have a toned down biker jacket I like. Filson makes a packer coat with shearling collar I love. They release a different one every year. As for watches… I have a $50 snoopy timex watch that I replaced the band with a high quality leather band. Women always complement me on it.

My god.
I’m 44 and it’s jogging pants and tshirts mostly for me and it’s because I travel constantly. Nothing I hate more than having to get my things pressed because they were wrinkled during travel. I honestly don’t have that kind of time but when I do go on vacation I step it up. I’ll admit growing up in an urban environment I had to break some habits. Major one being buying clothes that fit properly and tailored.
As a man in Florida already in Florida summer. This did not help me very much. But I appreciate the content
I often find myself needing clothes that are mostly rugged but also look good. For the most part, the options are limited. I've damaged plenty watches, shirts, & pants doing things I didn't even think would damage them. Im either left with functionality at the cost of fashion or fashion at the cost of functionality.
I like the title of this video, it was mentioned in a Jordan Peterson video. So true.
I’ve been working on my causal wear for a while and got it down to a T.

Awesome!
Dude. That black jacket at 0.44. What is it? I want one. Cheers from Sweden.
I'm a big fan of Robert Graham, curious your thoughts on their shirts. I have a collection, some for the office (marketing tech) and some for date nights, plus some short sleeve for vacation.

Many of the shirts are too loud for me, but I can't deny that they have some beautiful fabrics.
I work in the oilfield in West Texas. It is really difficult for me to find time to dress nicely. I feel like a fool doing it at home unless I’m on a date.
All these items (except the watches, of course) are the very opposite of what I want to wear in the sweltering heat of the tropical island where I live. Do you have any advice for those living in extreme heat/humidity?
Do you have a video dedicated to jean styles (age appropriate)?
My go to is invicta watches
that's cool and all, but try dressing like that in Florida or Georgia during the summer dude lmao you can pull off shorts and a polo or T-shirt if you coordinate the colors and match them with a suitable pair of shoes (usually not running shoes)
It's never 98° with an 88° dew point at the office in Wisconsin.
Would love a video on smart casual how to…..
Chinos and a blank v-neck or short sleeve button down is my go to.
How fashionable is it to wear a sweater with zippered collar with a button down shirt underneath?
For me, the jacket makes a difference. I have a dark-brown unstructured blazer that I wear most casual days. My second casual look is a long-sleeve button down shirt with a vest. If I want to be warm and cozy, I go with a turtleneck. I don't like light colored blazers. If it's too hot, I wear a vest, tie and rolled up sleeves.

Solid choice for a color.
alright guys could use a bit help/rate the fit. I wear a light leather jacket (brown), Blue Jeans or Gray slacks, leather shoes (brown), fedora (Brown), Hawaiian shirt (white or red), proscription metal black frame glasses (Glasses is a mantory stay do to lack of vision in left eye and got to protect right and it corrects a lazy eye also on the left) thank you for the help in advance!
He should totally wear all this stuff in Florida, specifically Miami, I promise he won't get chased by Locals for standing out in the casual crowd.
What do you think about dress sneakers, if. Tommy Hilfiger?
suggestion: Kill the captions, too much motion and they change too fast to read anyway
Antonio, what type of sweater do you call the one at 12:02??
When you're blue collar none of this really matters, you've one set of 'Sunday Clothes': A nice pair of black slacks, a formal button-up shirt in a lighter color, a nice pair of loafers, a selection of bolo ties, and a light topcoat, along with a black formal shirt specifically for funerals. Everything else is rugged stuff that lasts in the field you occupy. Source: Hubby's in construction, everything is jeans, boots, and a solid coat. Casual for him is, you guessed it, jeans, boots, and a solid coat, but this time with a white tee!
