I had a Univega Alpina Uno, my buddy Paul had the Stumpy. Bikes not as reliable back then but loads of fun. Started buying my kids Stumpjumper FS while riding Lighspead hardtail. Finally moved into Stumpjumpers 2009 S Works SJ, love the bike and trail speeds improved over 2 mph. Only downside was frame broke 3x. Specialized was great at replacing. Current stabel is 2016 S Works 27.5 SJ and 2020 S Works SJ 29. Both are rock solid with frame issues corrected and bulletproof. Shout out to Specialized for building great kids bikes. Our son rode Dongbaishong China race on his frist SJ FSR 2007 and at 12 chased Pro's down the mountain. Specialized was great support to have racing overseas. Shops in Shanghai were super great to work with. Looking forward to the magic carpet ride on my next bike. Turing Specialized suspension is easy. I am proud to say my daughter in law just bought a Stumpjumper. Another Jumper in our family.
sweet now where is the new enduro
Sweet!
Gimme that 1981 !
1) WTF with those prices?? New 15 cost more than previous S-works even on official website. 2) Where is alloy frames and mechanical transmission options?
@brian6speed

no mech options, it doesn't have cable routing for it.

I imagine alloy is coming soon as the last gen took a bit to have alloy with all the new features like swat
8:14 Williams Racing Yoke? ;)
Will it be in alloy?
@PriceKrispies725
20 күн бұрын
If you watch the creator story video they made you can spot one of the test riders on an alloy version that also has cable routing for a non wireless derailleur.
Basically an analogue bike which looks like my Levo SL and has new bottom-out tech. Nice!

Stop using that phrase. It’s a bike.
Any specs yet?

makes sense when you see it only comes with axs transmission.
I like Specialized, I think they are very innovating and forward thinking... but that being said, why oh why do they keep adding in proprietary components? They finally ditched the "Brain" suspension but now they come out with the "Ginie". I don't know what to think about that so I guess I have to wait to see the reviews and ride one myself before I am too quick to hate. Also, why this keynotes teaser video, I want to know specs and see builds. :-P EDIT: Can I get the Rockshox Super Deluxe Ultimate Ginie on mine? :-D

The Genie isn’t proprietary
@JimLacey357
19 күн бұрын
@@_dmart it is proprietary for 2 years, no other brands can use a Fox Ginie shock and it was co-developed between Fox and Specialized… I don’t believe you’ll see it coming out on any other frames.
@_dmart

@@JimLacey357It isn’t proprietary. You can use other air cans or coils on this frame provided specs match up
@JimLacey357
18 күн бұрын
@@_dmart that is obvious, they offer a Ohlins option as well and you can see that “Chaz” is running all Rockshox suspension on his new race bike… but that doesn’t stop the Fox/Specialized Ginie shock from being proprietary.
Someone on pinkbike predicted earlier today we would start to see wireless only mountain bikes..
@Valentin359

Epic s-works was already wireless only. So that's not a surprise from specialized
@brian6speed

they already knew about this bike, not really a prediction.
36 pairs with a shock no piggyback?
@anthonytedesco8072

I thought the same thing.
@matthewmoran1271

Probably because the shock has a massive volume with 2 air chambers, no need for an external piggyback
I think my HT chisel is closer to the old stumpjumper than the new stumpjumper is.
Looks like a polygon
Now it's the same as all of them 😢
Need. Not want, need. I'm gonna build one of these up with Shimano and then get divorce papers.

As an owner of an early Stumpjumper in the 80's...yes the sport has changed, and not in a good way. Faster ain't always better.

Unmatched personalisation? Think again. Serve the rider? Think again.
just great, it looks much better than previous generation, having the levo frame has total sense to use it. hats off for all the innovation, love the brand.
Amazes me how keynotes sound exactly how you think companies are based off their bike's reputations e.g. Giant's are also super dorky/bland, just like their bikes. Spesh is kind of Apple vibes (they make a more polished product) but at the same time very Mutli Level Marketing vibe a la Herbalife etc (which tortures their reputation as this big corporate semi-cult like bike brand).

We focused on amazing, fascinating ,unbelievable and bikes. It is everything you ever wanted with all the things that are good and no bad things. In short people who want a bike will like it because we made it better. The things we have improved are better things now. Thankyou.
The only damn thing I need to power my bike is the chemical energy I get from healthy aliments I eat, other than that is pure bollocks.
I've never ever lusted after a speicialized they're a wannabe brand that has questionable morals.
Nobody wants a proprietary shock. When has it ever worked?
