I don't see you talking about how PPP loans were being forgiven

And you won’t which is crazy. People are just that brain washed lol Bail out the wealthy but criticize the poor who wants to be helped for once. You can’t make this up.

PPP loans were made to keep people employed. It paid the salaries of employees so the businesses would not have to let them go during the shut downs.
unless you're the bank, don't expect help from politicians, and since students on the other side of the deal, you're the one over a barrel

Bailouts are low-interest repayment plans, not forgiveness. When Obama bailed out a failing car company they had to pay back with interest. Next time choose a STEM degree, it pays well.
I disagree. It's time the US makes decisions that help American families. Wallstreet and the automakers were bailed out, why can't congress get behind helping American citizens?

@RacerX1971 unlike most people, I'm not butt hurt about it and I'm not going to protest. If the supreme court says it's not legal, then I guess it's not.
I saw the 0% interest period as an opportunity not to take a vacation from the loan but as an opportunity to attack it while I was in school. I paid it off within six months of getting done with my degree and didn't pay a dime in interest.

people were also using the money to, you know, survive. because the econmy was in free fall and everyone was getting laid off
nice loop mr kamel
Yet the government rewards those individuals who live off of the government by expanding their families and working menial jobs. Someone who works hard to earn a decent living who happens to owe student loans and barely making over minimum wage can’t catch a break!
Brother said nothing in this video, lol.
The only option for some is to work for a public entity for at least 10 years. The government is giving an additional 3 years, so you really only need 7 years to receive the forgiveness

Now to find the public service job that checks all the boxes.

George, the Public Service Loan Forgiveness part is not. I had an ~140,000 loan completely forgiven tax free after my 120 monthly payments of $0.0 based on my income based repayment! I agree though, that those waiting around for an outright dismissal of their student loan debt are dreaming! Thanks for your hard work.

Have you ever talked to the hundreds of thousands of people who have had 8% student loans for decades?

So we let the banks decide our future with their interest rates? meanwhile, every worthwhile career slowly raises their degree requirements until only those with rich parents can have the good jobs...

I’m not a politicians so I don’t know if they’re even allowed to do this but if they what to really release people they should limit how much interest bank in charge
I don't trust the government so I have been making my payments. It is my responsibility to pay for my debt..that is the reality.
Yet all those rich boys are more than welcome to wait on the government to fix their lives.

Have you read the lower court rulings on this? They have no standing. Alito and Thomas probably will find some standing - but those two dirt bags opinions are worthless.
FJB!
No. Student loan forgiveness not happening wasn’t a failure. It was a success. Successfully avoided a moral hazard. Student loan borrowers are heavily subsidized by the taxpayers to begin with to qualify. Otherwise why would the bank loan money at low rates to ppl who have no jobs no degree no credit history to go to school for years? I’d be grateful for what the taxpayers already do for the student loan borrowers.

And what about what tax payers do for large corporation bailouts or the billions of wasted dollars that went into pointless wars? We are more ready to fund wars than to try to make college cheaper. When the bars at colleges are lowered or there are shortages in industries like there is now are you okay with getting a lower skilled professionals or having to pay insane amounts to get help from those professionals? Imagine getting sued or needing tax assistance and you either cannot afford it or the quality you get is terrible.
Stop using the government to fix your problems it’s not their business to pay your school debt it’s you who decided to go to college now get a job😊
Return PPP loans
