    1. You can go after whatever you want but you cannot (should never) get in the way of others from getting whatever they want 2. Sometimes the problem is you. Take responsibility for the things you do right but also accountability for the things you do wrong 3. Learn to help others, ask for help and accept help. 4. Learn to listen and be the last to speak 5. Be grateful for, but know that the good things you receive is not for you, it’s for the position you hold 6. [Bonus] Learn that success takes patience

Problem is that time is limited. For example, a lot of people think I need more, therefore I have to work more hours. Instead you should be thinking, I need to increase my value, not the hours. In a day you only have 24h, on the other hand the value of the money you are making is essentially limitless. Although you aren’t wrong in that specific situation, evaluating time and price is the right way to go. Wouldn’t be waiting 5 hours for a free bagel. XD

I think that the idea was that, in our lives, we will always need to spend at least one type of resource to get what we want, to achieve our goals. As time was the only resource they could have used in that situation, Simon is willing to use an amount of his resource, while his friend would rather save it and not invest the resource to get something. One wants to invest in what he desires, while the other one saves because his desire is not as big as Simon's for that bagel. Indeed, it was subjective and time is indeed the most valuable resource we have, you're right, but the question that Simon tried to highlight, in my opinion, is "Are you hungry for something so you only focus on the opportunity?". ^_^

    1. Go after the things that you want. 2. Take accountability for your problems. 3. Take care of each other. 4. Practice being the last to speak. - All you need to do is have the will and the desire to want to understand what drives and inspires you. - The overall journey is arduous and long and difficult. - As you gain fame, as you gain fortune, as you gain position and seniority, people will treat you better. Nothing is meant for you, it meant for the position you hold.
