am I the only one that would love to watch the girl from you're next vs the strangers? And not the new op ones but the more realistic from the original movie, I wonder if she would be able to take all of them out...

After watching the Kill Count for the original 'Black Christmas' I ended up watching the movie myself right before my boyfriend went out of town. He left when it was still dark outside so I went back to bed, but I had trouble sleeping because I kept thinking about "Agnes, it's me, Billy..." I had just gotten to sleep when I heard my front door open and shut. I jumped up, disoriented and terrified, only to see a big, looming shape striding with purpose into my bedroom. My legs completely gave out and I was too terrified to even make a noise.....it was just my boyfriend coming back for something he forgot. Needless to say I was furious lol

You know what’s cool, Is tamera home was actually a true event. The director of this film grew up in a neighborhood that got robbed. The robber would knock on random doors and if someone was was home the robber would just make up a name in his mind and say is this person home. But if no one answers then the robber would break in and rob the place. But in the video the director never said anything about the robber killing anyone just the robber stealing expensive items from houses. I just thought it was cool to share with you!

The killing part came from a story (this is off memory btw) a woman came home to find her 3 of her children murdered on the floor with her other 2 kids sound asleep in their rooms. The murderers were 2 people seen roaming around the neighbourhood that nobody recognised

It's funny you guys mention having horror movies making it difficult to sleep. I sometimes have my dog in the room with me when I sleep and there was this time after I watched the thing and she was looking at me while I was trying to sleep and the genuine thought that ran through my head is "Oh fuck, my dog is a thing."

Also I like how you guys talk about the horror movie survivors and how they must have PTSD. Horror movie survivors aren't something a lot of people talk about but in most horror movies I feel it's important to have enjoyable survivors or I'm not going to care about much of anything I'd say two of my favorite examples of great horror movie survivors is Tommy Jarvis (Who also suffers from PTSD :0 and a few other mental illnesses if the game is anything to go off.) And the family from Krampus although Krampus is a bit of a cheesy movie I enjoyed seeing the relationships between all the different family members and getting to understand that these terrible people are really terrible because of the struggles they have in life and that they do care about their family. Love this channel 💜💓💜💓

This is something I think about too. Slashers have a tendency to let the "final girl" or a few survivors keep their lives, but that's not necessarily a happy ending. It's not so simple that people who experience crazy shit like that are over it after a good night's sleep, it stays with them for the rest of their lives. I think the remake of I Spit On Your Grave did a good job with this - the protagonist gets her revenge, but it's implied she's broken far beyond recovery (confirmed in the sequel).

I’ve never had so much fun at a movie like I did when watching this. I think it made it a bit more enjoyable. Usually, talking in a movie and loud noises throws me completely off but this was an exception. I couldn’t help but cheer and clap during the satisfying deaths of the strangers. This movie doesn’t surpass the original but I’m glad I finally got to see my favorite horror movie revived even if it was 10 years later.

When I was watching this, every time one of The Strangers died, everyone was cheering and clapping. It was fucking awesome. Edit: Also, most recent time I was TERRIFIED of a Horror Movie was after watching Hush. Not that scary, but after watching it, there was a bunch of noises in my house and it was FREAKING me out. lmao

I really loved the movie hush, it came up with something different and it was intense, I often consider it as one of the best modern horrors because there aren't many recent horrors that are actually that great and alot of the ones that do come out are predictable or recycled work and hush is definitely a great one to watch and not your standard mainstream horror movie

I wish I can explain how much of a fan I am of both James and Chelsea. Too many words explain. I imagine they’re my friends because I don’t have any, so when I watch their videos (and kill counts) I feel like I’m there with them. And there’s something about their voices when they do podcasts that makes me feel safe and really soothing. Kind of like ASMR but it’s not ASMR. I don’t like ASMR’s. But their voices are like that and it makes me feel comfortable and relaxed. I started off watching James’ kill counts, but I decided to give podcasts a try, and as we’re quarantined (I live in Cali) I’ve been binge watching all of James’ Videos and it’s literally making all of this better for me. So thank you James and Chelsea. I’m at 51:21 and there was the knock at the door and I replayed it to see if I could hear the knock and I did and I’m like OH NO 😂

something that i perpetually love about Dead Meat: you guys always think about the PTSD that follows, lol. As someone with PTSD because of horrific circumstances, i find that very comforting and nice and i just appreciate that. There's a lot of unrealistic movies that present "bad guy dead, woohoo! all is good" but like nah. Even after that bad guy dies, there are still things that haunt you, and you guys always think about that. Just nice to be seen as someone with PTSD and remembered

I love you guys so much!!!! ❤️ Keep up the amazing hard work!!!!!! P.S. I’m sorry for you being spoiled by that person. I know how it feels. It sucks so much. Someone on twitter told me that the movie was terrible so I was very disappointed because me and my dad were so excited too see it; even though we knew it wasn’t gonna be the best. But I personally enjoyed the film a lot and I’m glad! Well, thanks for reading this! Have a great day guys!

I think a really cool concept for a new Strangers film is a sequel where its three new strangers who try to take on the mantra of the original three, but through the film the spectators are believed it to be a prequel until around the middle to the end where the strangers maybe de-mask and are like “yo wtf are we doing” or something on those lines

Long time fan James. I’ve been watching you’re kill counts since Friday and I’ve been trying to watch the podcasts and other stuff to support, since I know you’re in a break. I just want to say, I really appreciate your videos and just the good vibes they give me. I’ve had mental health issues for a while, and it wasn’t obvious, but those Friday mornings were my lowest points and your vids always made them better. Thanks for your hard work, I enjoy all the content you guys are in, and I really hope you guys do well with this. Have an amazing wedding, stay safe from corona and always Stay good people. (Weird wording-u get it)

What if the Strangers are rebellious members of the House of Black and White. It would explain the recasting because they change faces but they might wear masks because since they abandoned the faceless assassins they might just glitch as punishment for abandoning their identity. Might explain some of the weirdly supernatural shit they can do in both movies

I was enthralled by the pool scene as you guys were. Unless I missed it somehow, I don’t think you mentioned the incredible zoom shot leading up to Lewis Pullmans character first hitting pinup girl with the golf club. Incredible start to an incredible scene made all the better bye the great Bonnie Tyler tune. (I’m pretty sure both that one and the air supply finale song are both Jim Steinman creations (songwriter)). “yes, I am Tamara”... LOL love it.

Awesome you guys started a podcast! With the channel and now the podcast, everything you two do with Deadmeat is something right up my alley, and something I wish I would of got to first. It's like, "ahhhh I missed the boat on doing something like this!" But after listening to both episodes on the podcast, I realized I'm 100% like Chelsea with horror. Love every aspect, but I hate being startled by jump scares! Even down to covering my ears in a theater and being self-conscious about it, and also looking up jump scares. I'm the exact same way since I was a kid.

James, I was a huge fan of the original but holy shit this one doesn't do it right. Pin-Up girl literally was on screen for a whole 3 minutes only to run out and die. There's no purpose in making it a Strangers film if one of the Strangers doesn't even get to do anything.

No it's not that I hate the fact she died (Also MITM should've been long fucking dead before that Texas Chainsaw Massacre rip-off) It's the fact that she was literally only in the movie for 3 minutes and she does fucking nothing. What i'm trying to say is that, her character isn't needed AT ALL and this movie would've been so much cooler if it weren't the Strangers rather original killers and only two of them.

  • @AleenaEnjoyer

    @AleenaEnjoyer

    6 жыл бұрын

But I will also note i'm a little biased because Pin-Up girl was my favoritee in the first due to her mask design and how she wrecked havoc in that one but it's just so fucking lame to have her on screen for only 3 minutes (yes that time is including her death scene) in an 82 minute movie about 3 killers. They focused so much on Dollface and MITM that they somehow forgot about her and said "Fuck it, give her a jumpscare and have her run out and die."
