Sounds like Duncan MacPherson case. He went missing on a ski field and was found in the snow 14 years later frozen and had amputated limbs. So the leading theory is he was run over by a snowcat and instead of reporting it, the driver covered him up

@@marissah1336 I guess they just ran him over and they were too scared to stop and check on him. Even if it was accident (skier appearing outside the ski track) and not careless driving, the thought of being held accountable made them shut up and hide. And carry that weight for life.
Finding his scent on the farm equipment should have been enough for a warrant to search the property. Hmmm

Contrary to popular belief, scent dogs aren’t 100% accurate. Especially when you take into account that the dogs first went to the water at which point if the subject has entered the water most of his scent will be diminished.
Every time I hear this case I'm like ... Bro stay in the car! I know it was cold, but even a wrecked car would protect you from the elements.
I'm really surprised they didn't get a warrant to check out the equipment. That's WAY too suspicious to just let go
Mr. Pig, it really is a shame that you don't get more engagement. The way you explain things truly feels like I'm having a friend tell me a story, and the content you choose is super compelling.
As a parent and a person with an irrational fear of disappearing without a trace, this is my worst nightmare. I cannot fathom what his parents went through.
@Cowboy_Frog

As awful as it would be to know your child was dead, I feel like it would be worse to know nothing. Thinking maybe they’re alive somewhere and suffering but having hope they’ll come home.
The fact that there was no body, no clothes, phone or whatsoever, makes it really scary. Poor kid. 😢 And man, not being alone in the dark.. that's a fear that sticks with me to this day. 😨
I mean another alternative to that last theory is the farmer saw him probably from a distance mistaking him as a thief or maybe an animal trying to get to his crops or animals. Shoot Brandon and soon discovered it was just an innocent kid and panics and hides the evidence to avoid trouble. Now people can argue that the parents would have heard a shot, much like they would heard their son falling into the river, etc. However, all we have is what the parents told us they heard during that phone call and the fact is human memories are unreliable. There could have been many possible factors that could have resulted in the parents not hearing an important clue during the event and when confronted with trying to fully retell what had happened. Their brains do what all brains do and that is try and fill in the gaps resulting in them thinking that they had a perfect hearing on the phone for a few minutes when it a reality that might not be what exactly happened.
@Lurker381
Ай бұрын
That's a good theory, however I think if that were to have happened the parents would've heard a gun shot
@varcas62
Ай бұрын
@@Lurker381 no matter what happened, the parents must have heard *something*. they were able to hear the river, so its not like the phone had a super small pickup range. footsteps, him cursing or shouting, a splash from falling into the river, anything.
@Brother_O4TS
Ай бұрын
Maybe not shoot, as the parents would've heard it, but managed to sneak up on him and dome him
@AlexOlinkiewicz
Ай бұрын
@@Lurker381 I did have that thought, but then you have to remember we only have what the parents told us they heard on the phone, and human memories are unreliable. So it could be possible that the phone call wasn't that clear at all or there was a break-up during the audio, or heck it can be possible that the phone did cut off, but cause the parents were in such a panic they mistook static as river sounds and footsteps. It is very easy for a parent who is panicking about what happened to their kid that they aren't thinking clearly so when confronted on telling people what they remember their memories try to fill in the blanks resulting in them claiming the phone call was clear and they heard everything when that might not have been the case.
@Darkgun231
Ай бұрын
@@AlexOlinkiewicz True, but gunshots are something you tend to remember. Loud, sharp noises would be memorable.
I dont know how the law works very well, but it sounds like they should have tried to get some kind of warrant for that farm property. I guess they probably couldnt, since there wasnt any evidence of foul play, but I would think the scent on the equipment would have to count for something... His family could have probably gotten some answers if they had searched that property. :(
@CoushattaL

Yep, it's sad. i really think that farmer knows what happened. Maybe he'll give a death bed confession to give Brandon family closure.
Ending the call on "Oh shit" is terrifying. It really leaves it up for the debate what could've happened to him, however it doesn't make sense to me that he'd say oh shit if he fell in the lake or was ambushed by a farmer. It seems to me more like he saw something or someone which caused him to say "Oh shit", but I don't know, maybe I'm reading too much horror stories lmao

as someone who grew up in RURAL rural minnesota, it is super plausible someone was following him without him knowing, even if he has perfect eyesight. besides that though, people go missing here all the time. it actually terrified me as a kid to the point that even driving in the woods with my parents freaked me out, i was convinced we were gonna die. ESPECIALLY in northern minnesota, where you hear all the creature stories and terrifying real traumas people have with the supernatural.

I remember watching this video that has stuck me for while about a guy exploring this rocky desert area somewhere west because some vloggers ended disappearing in that area so he volunteered to find them because he knew it well and in crazy turn of events he also ended up disappearing with his phone discovered abandoned in the middle of the landscape. Theory’s suggested that he was secretly depressed about life at the time because of his history in the military and possibly found the most remote part of the landscape where he knew he would never be found to off himself so his family can still legally get the life insurance.
Please make more videos like this!! I like how you formatted the story. Stories like this one are always so spooky to me because of how easy it seems to just simply vanish without a trace
i think it was the farmer. they often have tranquilizer darts for cattle, brandon would of felt a sting, and had enough time to say "oh shit" before it put him to sleep. if the farmer was competent he would of waited for the phonecall to end in complete silence, plus he would know the land well enough, to be able to get ahead of brandon to set an ambush. would also explain why theres no body, or any evidence... except for on the farming equipment. plus. where did the phone go? and all brandons clothes? there would be signs if it was a natural death. this seems like it was scrubbed clean.

I think if they had gotten a court order to search the farm they probably would´ve found him. Obviously the cops there didn´t really care to do their jobs tho, as they´re known to do.
Maybe Brandon was more drunk than initially anticipated, so he crashes and drops his phone breaking it. He wanders into a farmers property and the farmer is scared and enacts the “stand your ground law” and shoots him in an over reaction. Then hides his body

This video is absolutely *fantastic* - thoroughly intriguing, suspenseful and so well-put together. Not necessarily, a lot of farmers do not trust law enforcement(understandably); when the farmer said no the cops, being lazy, probably just decided he was a disgruntled farmer who didn’t like cops and that they’d have an easier time leaving him alone. Should they have gotten a warrant bc of the scent? Absolutely. But saying no doesn’t make you a suspect, especially if you come from a community with a reputation for not trusting cops.

I have a genuine question as to why no one suspects wildlife especially if it was in a remote area. granted one could suspect that there would be blood, torn clothing or other evidence, but he could have seen eyes reflected in whatever light he had, panicked, and then fled and fell into the river or whatever else. Apparently its not uncommon for them to wander near agricultural zones to snack on corn and the like.

A lot of farmers do not trust law enforcement. The cops, being lazy as they often are, decided he was probably an old grouchy farmer who didn’t like cops and that *they*(the cops)would have an easier time leaving the farmer alone. They absolutely should have gotten a warrant to search the property based on scent alone but cops are lazy and if you’re white and don’t like them and they don’t have enough reason to bother you they’ll just leave you alone for their own sake.
