I know that Valeera is in Legion, and is part of the Rogue Class Hall campaign. Broll is also in Legion, as part of the Druid Campaign. Varian is in Legion... but not for very long. Unless you count the loading screen.

Blizzard really should start using these "lesser" characters far more. People are bored with Green Jesus, hell people probably are bored with Varian after his adventure in Pandaria. Give us more Rexar, Valeera, Garona etc.

I love how after she proved herself Varian and Broll's equal by fighting beside them, containing the insanely powerful Dreadlord Kathra'Natir within her body, and overcoming the magical addiction of the Blood Elves without the aid of the newly reignited Sunwell, the only commentary that can people are capable of offering on the topic of Valeera is this: "lol shes hawt id let her drane my magik lolol"

the only people who dislike are people who do lore them-self and are jealous i think that Nobble your the best out there you tell the story well and your easy to understand so thank you for all the lore and keep it up

It's strange that she is representing the Rogue class, yet very few players actually know who she really is.

Valeera could have played such a great role in WoW, i hope there will be a role for her later in the franchise,it would be awesome

I can't get over how well these videos are crafted. You not only go into the events of a given character, but also the internal emotional and mental struggles they all have to go through. I've watched many lore videos before i came across you and I have to say: these videos are always brilliantly made and crafted with so much depth and perspective I feel as though I'm reading a good book. Valeera was one of the reasons i made a Blood elf rogue she had a deep lore on how Varian became who he was today. I am really ashamed blizzard doesnt use her in Legion this would have been the perfect time for her oath to protect him be at its peak.

Agreed, Blizzard does not want to put too much effort into their game. It would give the other companies and their other games a bad rep.

Blizzard should focus more on the famous characters representing actual player classes in the game. They did a few, like Tirion for paladins, Darion for death knights, Thrall for shamans, Malfurion for druids, Jaina for mages, Anduin for priests. But we lack representatives for the rest of the classes. Who is the strongest hunter, warlock , rogue or monk? Who can be a rolemodel for these classes? I can hardly name any important character. They could use Garona for rogues, she is well-known and kinda neutral. They could use Rexxar as a hunter, People love him. As for warlocks, maybe one of the guys in the green fire event. I can't even think of any other "good" warlock. I don't really know the pandaren that much, maybe Chen or the guy who fought Garrosh in the SoO trailer could be the "main" monk. And they should develop these heroes further, most of them are neutral (Anduin, Malfurion, Tirion, Darion, Thrall, but Jaina has not yet decided) but I think all of them should be. If they want Jaina killed then reintroduce Khadgar as the "main" mage, he will be there in WoD anyways.

Rexxar is not really a hunter though, he used to fight in melee and call beasts. He is a Beastmaster, but not really a hunter. That's why seeing him use arrows in Hearthstone annoys the hell out of me. Warlocks are hard to paint as good, because they are evil, that's kinda what they do conniving, power hungry, backstabbing assholes. That's what they do. Rogues have SI7, maybe give them some more ingame things to do. And for Monks it's definently the leader of the Shado Pan TARAN ZHU. Who you should be ashamed for not knowing yet ranting about how we lack a guy representing monks. Also Anduin for priests? Please Velen isn't exactly chopped liver you know.

Velen is still alive? How old is he, 30 000? :P As for warlock, yep they are "evil" but that does not mean they can't have a character behind the scenes that makes them needed for the good guys. Like the necromancers in Might and Magic. After all, they still "serve" their factions. As for Rexxar, he is not a bow user, but you can hardly pick a more meaningful hunter character in the game. Vol'jin is a Shadow Hunter, he talks about using bows but meh, not a typical hunter. Sylvanas is a Ranger who uses bows but marksmanship is not really a trademark of hers. Tyrande uses bows but is a Priestess. I can't think of more. Rogues? SI:7? I don't think 99% of players can even name their leader. I sure can't. It's a human I assume. As for Taran Zhu, yep, guilty as charged. I know nothing of him. He looked cool in the trailer though. But I still hope to see him outside Pandaria at least sometimes. We need a little less Thrall and Varian and a little more of the already existing heroes. And certainly not reintroduced guys from another timeline...

I always had a crush on Valeera when I was young. I don’t know if it’s her elven looks, her revealing red rogue armor, her blonde hair in an anime ponytail or how she looked in the comics. Valeera was one of the few World of Warcraft characters I cared for. A damn shame she doesn’t get to do much in a lot of cinematic, along with Lor’thamar, Rexxar and a few others.

hey nobbel.. i seem to remember reading or hearing that one of the reason's that she is so loyal to Varian/ Lo'Gosh is that she loves him and that he even knows this but turned her down becaus he feels like she is way too young. especially with him being a human and her being an Elf. is this true?

They planned to put a romance in the comics, but it never made it in. Broll felt a fatherly love while Varian was just doing his thing. Don't think they ever made that love story.

The blood elves therefore set about learning to drain magic from alternative sources." So yes, blood elves who have a magic addiction will always hunger for magic, but it can be managed.

Female blood elfs always look hot, sexy in comics, arts and etc, but when you go to the game... They look like transexs.

Thank you Nobbel for this Lorevideo. It was a coincidence I read the comic while I had begun to play wow back in wrath and I love veleera and her story. It was awesome when I saw them in the siege of undercity(or ud raid :D). I hope very badly we'll see her again soon
