That controversy always bugged me since it came out. It felt like everyone was just waiting for her to get into some sort of scandal so they could justify their hate. Specifically by the fact that no one knows what actually happened, as others have said, both sides of the story are important and Irene’s side will never see the light of day yet ppl still run around as if she was caught m*rdering someone in 4k. Also it just doesn’t hold up when u actually look at it, when this happened irene was already a professional in the industry, she’s not a child, I think it calls more to question on what exactly did the stylist do to elicit such an extreme reaction from her in the first place. There’s also something inherently wrong with the phrase “be mentally prepared when meeting her” it feels like everyone has forgotten that U DONT KNOW SOMEONE UNTIL U MEET THEM. If u allow others to skew ur perception of ppl then that says more about u than them, the underlying acceptance u take from that advice is evidence enough that no matter what the person is actually like, u have already decided that ur not gonna like them bcuz of preconceived notions, which is quite frankly, childish but I digress. Regardless, I’m not dismissing any of her actions, she slipped up and (just like every human ever) realized her mistake and apologized. What I don’t agree with is everyone and their mom making thousands of assumptions about her based on this *one* incident. This next part is unrelated, but it seems like celebrities in Asian countries deal with so much sh*t even based on the most minute expressions they make, and subsequently this affects the way international fans (who are consuming the same media) think as well.

As a person who pursue career, I understood the feeling of anger and desperate when your effort and hard work ruin by someone's reckless action. If I were in her shoes, I probably act the same. How many idols of her caliber have you seen Iron a young members school clothes (Yeri) and make sure she was neat and did well in school. Made sure she ate well and did what was needed. I believe she is one of the most genuinely good person on earth. What you believe is your choice but I dont believe gossip medias.

A human simple as that, y"all act as if all of you never get mad or fight and are the kindest beings in the world.

The individual failed at their job and Irene was upset that it effected her performance for the ReVeLuv’s watching. She wanted to perform her best because they were not doing many stages at the time. She was only concerned about the fans getting to experience the best live show. Look at what she did for the ReVeLuvs in Jakarta. Irene was already announced as unavailable to perform due to sickness but she pulled herself together and show us why Wendy said “Irene is the greatest woman of her generation!”

let's be honest, not everyday is a good day to everyone and yeah what she did that day isn't right but people judging her whole being because of that incident, making up assumptions about her, making up lies about the incident, and even bringing her family in that issue doesn't sit right with me after that incident. Doing all of that for her one mistake when you don't even know the full story, the reason why she reacted that way and what really happened that day. She even apologized many times and even apologized in front of the stylist. I don't think the issue would be even that big if it isn't irene who they see as a cold person.

As long as i remember, 2 months after the scandal.. There's anonymous speak up about the real story behind, op said she's from a small business that worked for the stylist. That day she was supposed to deliver her products for the photoshoot but the stylist was so rude and tossed her product to the ground just because op said there's no table left for her to display her product. Irene saw it and help pick it up and defend op. Op said that's the story behind the scandal. The stylist's ego was hurted and she seek for revenge just to show irene that she has a tittle in the entertainment to put irene to the ground.. Sadly, that story didn't blow up and just sink down like that because the damage already done.. I just wish that karma will do something, irene didn't deserve to be treated like this

It wouldn't be such a huge issue if people would stop placing celebrities on a pedestal. No one is perfect so stop placing such irrational expectations on others regardless of success.

All Irene did was chew out an incompetent freelance stylist who wasn't capable of doing her job properly. So unless you've NEVER freaked out on a drive-thru attendant who screwed up your order six ways from Sunday, you don't get to judge. Every single one of Irene's present and former stylists stepped up to defend her, saying that Irene is a dream to work for, but she demands a certain level of professionalism. The stylist in question obviously wasn't capable of that.

Great video! I’m totally willing to admit that Irene may have spoken harshly but I am baffled with how people seized on one person’s account to paint her as the worst person ever. I am in a field that is super hierarchical, more than entertainment, to the extent that your career can be ended until the day you finally finish training. There is a lot of sympathy and support for trainees and people who are lower on the totem pole who claim to have been mistreated. But God, if I copy pasted what Kang Kook Hwa wrote on to a forum for my profession, I would’ve been roundly questioned about the details and no one would automatically say that my superior was wrong. There are always two sides to every story and we got almost no details. Anyway, she and KKH totally resolved the situation and it’s been years and many people who work with her absolutely adore her and defended her so I’m quite tired of the way she’s been misrepresented. She’s imperfect but I believe that on the whole, she is a good person who didn’t receive the disproportionate witch hunt and (ironically) abuse/attacks that she got.

I am Korean-American in my 30's and started getting very into Kpop around 2021. I'm mostly a fan of 4th Gen groups but have looked into a lot of the "drama" scandals of the past such as Garam, Soojin, Giselle, etc. And here Irene. From what I can tell these are cases of people being overly sensitive, cancel culture, which is just a thing that has sadly become the reality for most of society nowadays. Obviously, there is a fine line and you can tell when someone is downright malicious or just not a good person in general. That does not seem to be the case here. I fully side with Irene and not because she's "my queen"

Yelling at a stylist just once, and it’s their first time working together, yet the stylist was prepared to record the convo? That’s intrusion of privacy and how come knets didn’t say anything about it? Who the hell brings a secret recorder to work and record someone they are working with for the first time? It’s like she is prepared for something to happen or maybe she made things happen to trigger Irene. And how does just one isolate incident make a person link to galpji ? This doesn’t make sense at all. Just one day u got intentionally triggered and u lost it,then u are cancelled zzz

Some accusations on celebrities ( like Ellen Degeneres) seem legit, but this one doesn't. The stylist goes to work, makes a mistake, gets yelled at so much "for the first time in her life" and "starts crying" but has the composure to grab the recorder and record the incident? Belle Shao is kinda known in the China weibo industry not just as someone with a big fashion name (she actually doesn't have much followers at all and the only reason why her post abt irene gained traction is because she deliberately went into the tags mentioning irene's name to post about it LOL literally her post has #IRENE道歉 on it, which she definitely knew stans were camping in esp since she posted after irene apologised--in weibo when you make a post that has a hashtag right in front like hers did, that means you actually went INTO the hashtag itself and posted in the front page forum there deliberately lol not that you tagged it subconsciously), but she's also known to jump on idols that she doesn't like lmaoooo (as mentioned back then by other cfans from other chinese artists unrelated to irene when her fans were trying to determine the validity of her statements) in fact they worked with irene only once and back in 2016. there was no specific issue mentioned, just that belle shao kept baiting the fans by saying omg if i say it it will be too much and the end of ur unnie's career. she's known to do this amongst a lot of other cfans lol esp for clout and attention. hell, even the fashion magazines credit her but despite that never tag her official weibo despite her having it for years lol. in fact a lot of cfans take belle shao's words with a HUGE pinch of salt. in fact now she's pretty much faded back into silent obscurity.

She also doesn’t treat her staff “like crap” when these allegations were made back up dancers, make up artists currently and previously worked with, and even stylists came to her defense. They posted on their stories and even made Instagram posts in her defense. When that one allegation came forward so many staff came to her defense because they showed videos of Irene treating them well and giving them gifts for special occasions. So yeah I will continue to cheer her on

I understand you are a fan. I was living in Korea during this, you should probably tell the story a little more. It was multiple people on both sides that had negative and positive to say. There were people that backed up the claim about her nasty behavior, and there were some that were saying she’s not like that. You are making it seem like it’s just one person.

Every one of Irene's regular stylists have come forward to say that Irene is dream to work with, but that she demands a certain level of professionalism.
