My best friend got me into wanting a 3000gt ever since the first day we started working together, and saw he he had a red 1st gen 3000gt sl, about 2 years later I purchased a 94 3000gt base that has just been sitting there since the day I purchased it because so much happened right after that and even tho my family kept telling me to sell it or junk it, and I was even going to sell it for $300 because of all the pressure of it just sitting there, but now that I've been having a steady income I can finally begin to put money aside to get it running and get it to the vision I've been having since the first day I purchased it

That's awesome man. Good luck with your build and I have a 93 3000gt and the guy sold it to me for $700. Got it up and running. Rebuilt engine and transmission. Brand new fuel pump as well and the car has a very bright future ahead😊👍

@Travis Quick I purchased mine for $900 because of a vacuum leak but I was so excited to take it home I didn't notice all the dents and that's probably the biggest money pit I'm going to have since the exterior was a 5/10 and interior 4/10

Oh ok. I lucky with mine. The interior and exterior is in pretty good condition and only thing I'm focusing on now is getting rid of the engine knock and taking care of paint and getting it repainted red

One of most underrated 90s cars.. I am also member of 3s platform with my 95 VR4, I enjoy this car so much. Nice video Miguel! :)
Thanks for the VR4 Journey Miguel, just don't give up and sell Her 🙏🤙
Great Documentary of your Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4!
You’re the reason I’ve kept my 3000gt. Seeing your build progress has inspired me I got mine when I was 15 and a instantly fell in love. And I’m gonna turn 20 this year and am staring to build it out.
Been following your channel for a while and this is by far my favorite video you've done yet. You've been a big inspiration for me with my 92 Monza Red VR4 purchase and build process. Keep up the great content man!

I loved my '94 VR4! Never modded outside of wheels, tires, and slightly lowered. Always wanted to unlock the engine's potential. Your intercooler looks sick!
The car beautiful. I can’t imagine how difficult it was to source out parts for it 🙏🏽 definitely worth it I assume. Keep going bro 🤘🏽
Awesome video and car is looking bad ass! Keep up the good work..
underdog of the 90's is perfect. Great job! enjoyed the breakdown and love your VR4!!
Man, after watching this video plus the build, I want one.
Like the transparency and honesty coolest car enthusiast youtuber I follow never lose you're ground miguel.
You should do that 3d print and start a small company for it too
Great video! Definitely a dream build of mine.
good choice! favourite car on the channel
Looks sick bro , so happy Your living Your dream , i know is hard and a long Journey , but thank You for sharing with us
Most underrated 90s JDM car. Have a 96 SL in Mex just sitting. Thinking of bringing it to the US and restoring it. Idk maybe I should sell it and buy a VR4 instead but I’ve heard the SL is much more reliable. Anyways your VR4 is the best one I’ve seen, hyped to see what the future holds for it!

I love your car man. Great work.
They are Definintly the underdog of the 90's jdm era. But IMO they were always the best one. And yea they can easily become money pits or IMO a money black hole. Beautiful car Miguel.

Nice!Well said Miguel.Keep it clean.Challenging project in my time.Lots of research n patience Is not for everybody.
Bro I don't know why, But the first time I saw your car I instantly fall in love with it. It gives me a cool breeze of calm in the day of summer type of vibe. I am a 3D artist/ designer / modeler. I think I need to make a custom 3D body kit design of you car now. damn! this car looks good.
a true 90s classic
Beautiful ride man, I can’t tell you how much I regret selling mine off in my H.S. Years.
The 3000GT is more of a East Coast car. I still see them on the road every week in the DMV area. I know other guys who've said the same with Phi, NJ, and NY. The 3S is a true year round car. If kept stock and driven like an adult, this car is awesome. A VR4 is great if you're aware of oil starvation and keep things in check. The Stealth is the rare one. You will very rarely ever see a base or TT Stealth on the road. These cars get a ton of miles. Plenty around 150k, 300k.
great car, love the 3000gt
Looks really good. I always thought it was one of the best looking cars of the time. I have an Evo VIII

I also have a 1998 that i'm restoring. It has the Supra wing in the back and it's 5 speed manual. 24V DOHC. I also changed the back lights set to the same ones you have. I really love all the modifications you did on yours and I would love to do the same exact thing to mine. But because of the same reason financially it is very difficult to do. I replace the transmission and clutch, megan racing springs, i had to replace both heads because the valves were bent. Its been a long battle, but I'm trying to keep the dream alive. It's been my dream car since I was in my 20s. I definitely wanna get it looking like that, but my pockets 😕 not agreeing with me for now$ it's been sitting in my yard for about 3 years now and it's crushing me seeing it there while I'm working 7 days a week to make ends meet (sigh)
Just picked up a 93 VR4 last week. The money pit has begun, but hopefully come out the other end with something I hold onto for a long time.

Good luck with the build! Remember to enjoy the process. Time flies
It is a cruising car, hence the name. 3000 Gran turismo. It's a big heavy touring car with a sports car aesthetics. I have a 92 dodge stealth r/t tt and it's a sweet car. Though I'll keep my popup headlights.
I wanna see some pulls!!!
I wanted the 3000GT since I saw it in Gran Turismo 1 in 1997. Then I got one in 2015 and since then I will keep it forever 😁

Finally someone who gets it I love mitsubishi and a lot of my friends are trying to get me into Honda and I will not convert
My dream car I had the SL model unfortunately they’re so difficult and so expensive to work on that. I don’t know if I pursue it again. Or maybe if I buy a house with the garage I’ll give it a shot.
GTO‼
Reason why I love Mitsubishis as well the vr4 galant like bro those things are sick but nobody knows and or talks about them the Mitsubishi Evo shadows everything else I feel
I loved the 3000gt or the sealth R/T when they were producing them and it had so much part support for them that if I didn't fall into the DSM's I would have went with one since they had so much support remember they had a engine kit for them that produced 1200 horses kick myself for not doing one for racing but it is what it is I am still happy I have my DSM its so much fun to drive.

@@MiguelDsm on a stock block 4G63 they are rated at 1000 horse anything more then that you need to go billet and the 3 Liter i would think they would be close to the same naybe skightlly less then a 1000 horse.
Off topic but I was wondering how you fixed your cooling issue with the Eclipse, I have a opportunity to buy a Eclipse with a Evo 8 swap and a GT30 turbo but the guy said when he did the swap he got overheating issues and remembered you saying you had the same problem. Any suggestions from your experience?

@@MiguelDsm Yeah we have a toxic community, but the fact is the engine bay manufacturer nameplate says V35 and V36 which are Skyline chassis codes, thats its official name, what the car has badged is just for the USDM. Skylines have been badged Nissan, Datsun, and Infiniti, but at the end of the day nameplates say skyline. original badging was Prince Skyline
Mitsubishi are one of the most beautiful cars ever made , other one would be a Jaguar E type. I would love to get hold of a VR4 and do the rebuild but the parts would have to come from Japan. Your right their charging way too much for parts. Nice job the red looks awesome!!

I can get you one right now for 2000 in Minnesota it’s a red one I can get you the info this is a very beautiful car
such an iconic car. the reason why it's a dying 90's JDM car is because of that motor. difficult to work on, no space to work on. most people don't want to tocuh them. it's a shame it didnt take off more than what it is.
Una pena que ya no hagas vídeos en español
It wasn’t the right time for the Porsche build. The 3000 gt fit right in

Agreed. Everything happens for a reason
Drive it like it is… don’t build it or boost over 20psi stock. Trust me, I fully built a stealth and it becomes a nightmare and so expensive due to the high cost of all the parts. The stock internals aren’t that durable (except the ‘99) and the only option for a forged crank is the ‘99 OEM crank. Stock rods are forged on all TT models but they’re surprisingly weak. Everything becomes easiest to do by pulling the engine because it can get so tight and that gets old quick. The transmissions are weak and unless you have access to industrial heat treating/hardening, and plating facilities, there’s basically no options for a better transmission. The older model transfer cases were aluminum and frail, so again the ‘99 had the stainless best transfer case. I built my car in the mid 2000’s so it was even more a nightmare than it would be now and I would never build a 3000/Stealth ever again. However, I loved the car my first few years with just BPU mods, it was a blast to drive and a monster in the snow. Did I ruin my enjoyment of the vehicle by going for big power, probably, and that’s why I say BPU the beautiful 3000 you got and enjoy it. It’s a gorgeous specimen of a forgotten JDM beauty. Thank you for reminding me of why I initially fell in love with them……. Unfortunately, my car was struck by lightning and it fried the body harness bumper to bumper. Knowing I was moving across the country and was already taking 2 other perfectly good vehicles with me, I parted my car out, trans engine and electronics to 1 guy, rolling chassis to another, 2 turbo kits to a third.. it paid for part of a college education but I spent nearly 3 years on the build and always felt like I only got to rip on it a few times. It destroyed a 750ft/lb clutch on low boost(after a full break in period obviously) so I know it had that 1000hp grail number potential. I’ve regretted selling the car ever since and I miss the love/hate relationship.
The 3S isn't that popular b/c young people honestly can't afford to own it. Most of the owner's are of these cars are over 40yrs old. Just based off what I see on the road and through forum's over the years. There's still more 3S model's than all the other Japanese sports cars from that 90s era.
