The story of "A Christmas Carol"
Without question, Charles Dickens' fable of Ebenezer Scrooge is one of the great holiday classics. Since it was first published in 1843, the brief novella has never been out of print, and has been told and retold in countless plays, musicals and films. Mo Rocca takes us to the very streets of London that inspired Dickens, to bring us the story behind the creation of "A Christmas Carol."

I love the George C. Scott version of A Christmas Carol. We watch it every Christmas Eve. Another new favorite is The Man Who Invented Christmas. It's the story of how Charles came up with the idea of the book and how he got it in print in time for Christmas. So, so well done. A true delight to watch. I haven't ever seen A Muppet Christmas Carol. Not a big fan of them, but I'll try it next year. I just might be pleasantly surprised. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, everyone!
I grew up watching Mr. Magoo,, A Christmas Carol and when I had seen Scrooge,, the musical I loved it bc of such lovely songs!!! Both are 👍👍❤❤❤❤😊

I love sharing movie trivia with people, and here's a fun fact about Muppet Christmas Carol. Sir Michael Cain told Brian Henson flat out that he was going to play Scrooge straight as if it were the Royal Shakespeare Theater, with no winking at the camera or self-awareness that he's talking to puppets. And it worked!
My favourite is the movie version with ?George C. Scott.
