Not sure if this will come up in the bonus facts, but Germany invaded China, as well. They annexed Hong Kong with the British prior to WWII and ended up using it as a munitions manufacturing hub during the war. As would be expected, European colonists and "diplomats" would want some beer to drink and they opened a brewery, nearby, shortly after arriving. After WWII, when Germany was forced to demilitarize, China took back the region that the brewery was in and renamed it Tsingtao. To this day, they are brewing a centuries-old recipe for Munich lager, just under a different name and under Chinese governmental control.

I’m at 23:21 and this telling is very radically different to most accounts of Japanese and US actions during the period. Most experts will say that the US introduced oil sanctions against Japan because Japan was a belligerent expansionist state - which is bad for business and thus bad for the US.

There is much to admire of Japanese society, even from the period being discussed. Unfortunately the interpretation of the Bushido code held by the Japanese military (resulting in various abuses amongst defeated enemies and civilians who were unfortunate enough to live in conquered territories) of the time ultimately destroys any positive image of Japanese society back then. As ever, the main fault lays with those in charge of general policies.

Usa sure showed Japan though. Made them all pay for generations. Japan is a hollowed out husk today isn't it. That's what happens when you make freinds with your enemy 😉 Only Cuba is true enemy of usa. Cuba the one and only nation usa will never ever ever forgive. Afghanistan. Iraq. Russia. Germany. Japan literally anybody else is cool. But Cuba. How dare Cuba make a sovereign deal with Russia like that. Cuba may aswel have just been Germany. Japan. Russia. Iraq. Afghanistan all in one tbh. Cubas crime cut deep. So what if usa had illegal big 💥 on uk soil. After uk Said NO. NO MEANS NO. USA brought them to UK anyway. Illegally. Nevermind what they did to the poor boys of Eastern Europe what silos might they be hiding. 😢 Well that doesn't give Russia the right to copy. But legally. How dare Cuba allow such a deal. Its outrageous. Usa had to get real tough to put a stop to Cuba too. BY SCARING EVERY LITTLE GIRL AND BOY AT SCHOOL. Terrorised their own school children in attempt to show Russia they ain't bluffing. 😢 they've done it before. 😢 It's actually funny because last year Russia recycled that same ploy. Russia didn't use kids though. Russia used adults to nuclear drill. To make us think that's an option lol. When we all just don't care tbh. gWan Russia USA made the world 💩 anyway. Coverd us all in debt. Super debt. Now they wanna use what last reserves we have in effort to take over their war room. Do or die boys. Its coming. I suppose I support Russia. But I'm English. Not that Brit-------ish 💩 either. True English and I support Russia. Cos why... Ukraines rejected children. That YT documentary showed me what usa and my country support when they support that ferral dog ukraine and its boss 👧 🐩 Poorland feeding off USA taxes to build them into a force that could fight Russia for usa. 😢 Cos paying for war suits usa way more than actually fighting it. We've seen 100yrs of their records now. 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
