Edey was a 100th percentile rimrunner in college. He's so much bigger than the perimeter players coming down to tag him that they're rarely able to do anything to disrupt him finishing, and while the size difference might be less in the NBA, it's still going to be pretty massive. Teams almost always played drop coverage against Purdue to keep their big in the paint to have a chance at containing Edey. When the big did hedge, Edey almost always caught the pass rolling to the rim and got an easy dunk, with the only exceptions being a couple times when the tag guy was basically boxing him out and the rest of the defense collapsed around him, which won't work against NBA spacing. Edey is going to be a ludicrous offensive weapon if you pair him with a high-end guard who can exploit his gravity. Also Edey's lane agility time was historically great for someone his size, with the only heavy(275+ lbs) bigs in combine history with comparable times were Andre Drummond(somewhat faster) and Demarcus Cousins(a bit slower). While the inherent physical challenges of shifting 300 pounds of momentum will always exist, Edey is in line with the elite "moves well for his size" big bigs in modern NBA history. Sarr's lane agility score wasn't even bad, and for an actual 7-footer to have a 37" vert is downright impressive. People have strong preconceived notions of Edey being an unathletic plodder and so trash guys like Sarr and Clingan for having solid agility times for what they are because Edey's time is insane.

TSJ HAS THE HIGHEST MORAL CHARACTER OF ANYONE IN THE DRAFT. WHAT HE HAD TO GO THROUGH, AND PLAY THROUGH, SPOKE VOLUMES. HE WENT UNDER OATH ON HIS BEHALF AND THEY FOUND HIM NOT GUILTY. HE SHOULD BE A 1ST ROUND AND CLOSE TO TOP 10 PICK!!

Last year 5 guys who were 22 went in the first round. Jaquez,Sheppard,Brown,Sasser, Murray. It’s a trend that I think began last year and is building

Dalton Knecht has fans in the Houston Rockets organization as well. Rumor has it, if Clingan is there at pick #3, Houston will trade the pick to Memphis and hope Knecht is still on the board.

Sneak into the 1st round? There is no sneaking, just where in the 1st he goes. Then, he's not a wing, if you're talking about the small forward position. Think he's more in the mold of a combo backcourt guard (1/2 instead of 2/3).

Not a super important detail for your larger point on Shannon moving up; but, (to James) being acquitted (found not guilty) is not the same as being exonerated or 'found innocent.'

main problem with Leif and others is they simply do not understand the major leap there is between college and the pros. Scheierman and Kolek won't see the floor because of their atrocious defense. And nobody holds them accountable for their awful takes. Early to mid 2nd round talents
