Hey Tyler, thanks for the tip! I went down to my local lake after church on Sunday and the conditions were just like you talked about in this video. I grabbed a spinnerbait and decided to stand on the bank and fish shallow near some hard structure that wouldn’t be affected by the wind. On my second cast I caught my personal best bass at 5lbs 2oz. (Only been fishing for about a year). Thanks again.

I have used the app for probably 4 months at this point...maybe more. But after the first week i paid for the pro version. And its been my go to to decide if i need to take a day off work to spend the day on the lake. If its a good rating...i almost always have a great day following the recommendations. I will continue to support it and giving credit to TRF for a massive portion of what ive learned on the past two years of me heavily fishing.

I absolutely love the videos that have been added to the app. They are a quick refresher on some of the less common lures i use right there. Caught one bass on spinner this summer. I think they are awesome. I just quit using them cause I lost 2 in one day and pissed me off lol. Going to start fishing them again, coolest way to catch a fish imo.

I use bassforcast all the time it's done me well, used some recommended lures last week and caught two 4lbers and a hand full of 2lbers

Been binge watching your videos mam thanks for all of this information. I'm a west coast surf fisherman trying something new and I'm off to a bad start with bass fishing but there's also only 1 local lake that everyone I know that fishes it says it's a tough place to get on fish. Going camping this upcoming weekend at a much larger lake a little ways away that I hear is a great fishing lake some I'm learning as much as possible trying not to skunk 😅

Hey Tyler! Me again. Showed my wife this video. Took her out with me. Her frustration of bait steeling blue gill lead her to pick a lure and give it her first ever go. Let her watch this video. Told her a few other things and bam her very first large mouth ever. Lil guy. But now she's addicted too. She caught 9 to my 5 lol. Go figure. All on a double Colorado blade spinner bait and 3.3 inch paddle tail trailer. Thanks again Tyler. You really are the best.

I’m new to fishing and had a question. When the fishing rod says a line rating of 10-20 lb, what does that mean? I can only use line between those numbers? Is it possible to use braid, maybe even stronger test than the rating? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Those numbers are in reference to diameter more than line strength, and they are chosen from flouro and mono. So a rod with 10-20 is best throw (casting without breaking and hook setting without breaking), with 10-20lb plastic resin lines. So braid on that rod would be 20-50lb most likely

Use a bright green with red eye waighted hook with a resuable spinner jig with white yum grubs n u will catch 30x more fish

That’s funny that I see this video after going on a fishing trip. The wind was blowing through a island and the mainland. The wind was blowing straight through with a log sitting on the side, toss the spinner bait out and snagged a big fat bass

Try downsizing. You can use a 1/8 Oz spinnerbaits on a medium action rod with 10lb test with no problem

1. No, not everyone knows that. 2. No, the tip had more to do with the type of cover you’re fishing and how wind affected that, THEN that the spinnerbait was the best tool for the job

I love the app BUT I dislike how you can't specify the location for example I like in CA and I'm unable to out in specific lakes unless they are MASSIVE lakes. Even decent sized lakes are not there and smaller lakes and ponds are definitely not there. I'd pay for the premium if they would include a bit more specific information

It works based on GPS, which we feel is the broadest way to help the most anglers. There are too many bodies of water out there to do them individually. The GPS location on where you are at, should be accurate enough to give tips for the pond or lake you are fishing

@@TylersReelFishing oh absolutely i do agree that it works great and can steer you into the right direction when it comes to picking out lures for the day and time but what I'm saying is what is the premium feature we're paying for? 10 day predictions? Because that's honestly not a super sought after feature. I will say that the price point is great and definitely just a tiny drop in the bucket but I feel like you can easily accomplish what you want using the free version and paying for a minor convenience feature, even at a low cost per year, just isn't worth it unless it gets specific to a lake or pond

3/4 of the video is useless tips. We all know that every bass will hide under a tree or willow or whatever. Should do an intro on the spinner bait first, then explain how it works and where to throw.

But there are thousands of new fisherman who watch my channel and don’t know these things, ESPECIALLY how wind affects cover and structure in the water column, and how certain lures are better suited for those situations. I like telling stories as I teach, so if that’s not your kind of teaching, you can go watch blauket. Happy to have ya here though!

what was the tip? It seems the "tip" was the basic reason we all use spinnerbaits. Nobody had to "tell us" because we are intelligent enough to figure out these basic principals for ourselves. This poor kid comes across with the hard sell, which sets me on guard. He will likely end up selling used cars or working as an aide in his local Democrat congressman's office. At least he is up front about this being an advertisement platform for the video game he is producing. Pretending any "tips" is pretty scammy. Just sell your subscriptions and be a better friend to your bassin buddy (congrats BTW).
