Yeah but in a conflict with a near peer adversary like Russia or China that will not be the case especially with China..Iraq is mostly all flat and the cities are not that big but in Asia China's back yard would be way different they have a lot of huge cities with skyscrapers and huge populations just like Israel found out in 2006 all that air power doesn't mean shit in densely populated cities like that you would still need lot's of people to take land and go from City block to block building to building Room to Room and in a war like that with debris from skyscrapers buildings already hit would make for a lot of hiding places and would make The battle of stalling grad look like a Puny battle the world has never seen the horrors that such a war would bring we would not just be fighting in China and they have a population of 1.4 billion but N.Korea,South Korea and even though some of this country's are our allies they would have people that would be on China's side If history has taught us anything is that not all citizens of a country are happy with their government for some reason or another so they help the people fighting it Philippines,Vietnam,Thailand,Indonesia..such a war will make WW2 LOOK LIKE A SKIRMISH!!

If your fighting a war of invasion you'd better be prepared for couterinsurgency. Holding land can be costly unless you are ruthless. But again first to act wins. insurgents can just walk up as a civi and kill you if their desperate. 1 civi to 1 highly trained soldier ain't bad. That's why you get locals to police and don't expose your bad ass shit to civis.

Speed lets you confuse the enemy by outpacing his ability to gather information on you. Speed lets you engage before the enemy can even form a plan. In any major future conflict cyber warfare will be the fastest means of attack, and not on the small scale that happens somewhat regularly. Power grids, computer systems, major infrastructure, and even space assets will almost immediately come under attack. With good enough cyber strikes, massive disruption, economic chaos, and civil unrest can be unleashed before the first weapons are actually fired. Imagine trying to fight a war when your trains are not running, your roads are clogged with hundreds of thousands of collisions because every traffic light suddenly went green, every plane in your airspace is receiving conflicting information, and your people that still have power are being fed expertly made deepfake government announcements of a coup in progress. That's just for starters on day one.

@@hyperhektor7733 Quit spreading misinformation, you can't lump together all of those distinct groups, falsely label them "communists" and lie about them somehow working together secretly to "take over". Liberals are a diverse group of people, but most simply want the greediest and richest people to actually pay a fair share of taxes in order to allow the poorest individuals to find good work and enter a more populous middle class that has affordable access to good healthcare, medicine, transportation and education. Then there's "ANTIFA", which is not an organized group and has no command structure or even matching goals or ideals, they're simply people who are morally against fascism, dictators, totalitarianism, and racism. A very tiny, tiny percentage of people identifying as "ANTIFA" are just fringe extremists who are misguided and think breaking store windows will somehow help their cause, the number of those types is only in the hundreds or low thousands throughout the entire USA. Now, on to Soros, Clinton, and Bill Gates, none of these people are "communists" in any way, in fact they're all three the exact opposite of communists, they are successful capitalists who've made millions of dollars by creating successful products (Bill Gates), investing (Soros), or selling books and giving talks after being a successful political leader (Clinton). All three are absolutely card-carrying capitalists, and all of them firmly believe and fight for democracy, liberty, civil rights, and sensibly-regulated free markets. Bill Clinton and Bill Gates are also very prominent and successful philanthropists who have collectively saved thousands of lives around the globe and raised many millions for charities that provide free healthcare, disease-prevention, and quality education to the poorest and most vulnerable civilians on the planet. You do have a point about electric vehicles likely replacing internal combustion engine-powered vehicles in not just the civilian markets but also in militaries around the world due to their increasingly advantageous power and advanced capabilities while being non-polluted and thus not contributing to the catastrophic destruction of the global climate that anthropogenic greenhouse gas emissions are causing as well as sea level rise due to global warming from those greenhouse gases, which has already started displacing people who live near oceans and on islands. So, why would anyone have a problem with any of these people, exactly?

@@alfijibril611 the atomic bombings was not necessary and the generals in charge of US Pacific forces agreed. It was strictly used as a political tool--domestic politics and for the USSR. The invasion of the japanese homelands was jnecessary as well, with or without the atomic bombings.

That doesn't work long term. Someone will screw up eventually if we keep this up long enough. We need for the largest nuclear powers to mutually reduce their arsenals. Total nuclear disarmament isn't realistic right now, but there's no need for the huge arsenals of the largest powers for effective deterrence. We're also in a very different situation than in the 1940s. The world is much more connected now in terms of trade and information, to the point that any of the wealthiest countries would lose far more than they'd gain in any war with another powerful country.

The term blitzkrieg was originally used by the british in media to explain the results of the German military victories in Europe--the germans liked it and used it before the British using this term, the term had only been mentioned about two times in German military literature.. Technically, the invasion of France, the low countries, etc., where not examples of blitzkrieg. Blitzkrieg was only truly, somewhat, utilized and realized in the invasion of the USSR.

Also can you please do a video regarding Russian (slow) expansion of its Air Force and what capabilities the are focusing on, Egyptian expansion to their armed forces especially the navy (especially related to current event in Libya, Turkey or even Ethiopian damn ) and lastly the chinies potential innovation of Taiwan (I am saying this because of the recent deployments and exercises they have done near the taiwanies and how they are not tolerating places like honking and Taiwan anymore). These are just some ideas I have been thinking of that would be very interesting to see your view on. Many thank for all of your work, keep it up.

Blitzkrieg was a name coined by the allied press, the German doctrine was Bewegungskrieg, war of movement. It was a combined attack using tanks break through, encircle and then use infantry to crush. They did this time and told again. Really blitzkrieg was (this is just my opinion) an organic development from the German army's predisposition to action when in doubt. This is particularly the case after passing the ardienne and ignoring Hitler's order to regroup and pressing forward.

The quest for speed in war is actually the deterrent. Every major increase in speed comes with an exponential increase in cost, in money or importance of the unit. Therefore everyone is too scared to deploy these units, items, weapons, etc. The thing that will drive the world to peace, is not because we all love each other, its because it will be too expensive to outright win a fight. If you cant just win with minimal losses, you won't take that fight. This is why we haven't had a nuclear war, the cost is so high, that it doesn't matter. Conventional war is getting to the same end point, its just too expensive to wage war. It is however extremely cheap to sign a trade agreement and exchange McDonald's cheeseburgers for cash.

I've actually wondered how cruise missiles and satellites would do against navies in modern times. Last time there was a major war that featured missiles and ships was the Falklands, where satellites were not involved. As said in the video, the satellites would probably be shot down and major gaps would develop in naval strike capability, but exactly how useful those gaps would be is the question.

One interesting option would be to have a satellite with some highly efficient propulsion method and a decent, but not necessarilly all that high TWR that can adjust its apoapsis and periapsis and complete large plane changes in a highly eccentric elliptical orbit for microscopic amounts of fuel. Thus, in order to know where it is or where it will be next, you need to actively track the thing. Of course, this comes with the disadvantage that there would be days or even weeks between close passes, and the moon may provide inconvenient interference, but it has the significant advantage of being able to be anywhere at some date in the future, and come from any angle, and only people who are actively tracking the thing will know where it is. Another advantage of this style of orbit is that a KKV in such an orbit could intercept both low orbit satellites and communications sattelites. And the main vehicle could deposit such KKVs designed to be stealthy to radar and infrared for later use.
