    Perhaps it is my personal preference, but I would pick the Silenced Vetterli with FMJs over the Silenced Sparks. I would lose some muzzle velocity, some damage and reliance of special ammo boxes, but gain so much more in return. Better fire rate (which can be further buffed by Iron Sharpshooter), better iron sights and more ammo while maintaining fairly good penetration capable of penetrating multiple wooden walls in a row.

    I like the Silenced Sparks with poison ammo in ONE of the ammo slots. It's got great utility. It'll one shot immolators and armored quietly. The only other thing that can do that is the poison crossbow, which doesn't have the PVP utility that the sparks does. Also Assassin and Scrapbeak are weak to poison so it helps there.

    One underappreciated aspect to poison is that tagging an enemy kills their audio and greatly hinders their visual. As well as denying heals. This gives a larger and safer window to push as it will likely still put the enemy hunter within one tap range of your side arm or cover the audio of you charging a frag bomb.

    Since you can swap Spec. Ammo with the S-Sparks, I do recommend experimenting with FMJ and Poison rounds, if you have the money. Poison rounds not only one shot Armored, but Immolators as well, which can be a life-saver during rotations. In addition, if you're Solo vs Duos or Trios, the Poison and massive damage will usually be enough to drive one into cover while you quickdraw on the other one. Bonus: Hit them when they're near a Meathead, and watch them scramble. FMJ does reduce damage drop-off slightly. BUT, the reason to switch over to FMJ is for those close-engangements! You can hit enemies through multiple layers of cover! Good for ambushes AND flushing cover! I usually reserve this for an FMJ revolver w/ Fanning, but this gives you some more flexibility if your secondary plays a different role.

    I disagree about one thing, it's great with special ammo when you're just farming mobs to unlock the sniper! incendiary rounds kill everything but immolators until you unlock poison ammo, the poison ammo kills everything, even hives if you hit the head. 2:39 I think the purpose of incendiary rounds is to be able to follow up kill with high damage guns. Edit: kzread.info/dash/bejne/aJ9pxZWEmKjRZrw.html Actually he talks about this in his regular sparks video. 🙏 Even singing a little health without igniting the target makes them vulnerable to a follow-up killing shot for much longer than poison ammo. 5 seconds before it starts to recover, ash health recovers at 2 second per health, that gives you 24 seconds to follow up with a killing sparks bullet, even if they use a bandage or vitality shot. I don't disagree with your overall conclusion, especially when considering the *silenced* sparks, and when poison ammo lets you stay stealthy, but I just wanted to note that I think that's really the purpose of incendiary rounds on high damage, slow reload guns (sparks, martini henry, shotguns, i guess).

    Good analysis, and I'm glad to see one of my favourite guns receive more love, but I don't understand why you recommend to skip the special ammo altogether when you can bring them AND normal bullets. It's not like you're going to chew through your entire stash in a minute with -this- weapon anyway. And yeah, poison has less damages than the regular sparks, but ... 1 shot to take out an immolator from afar without making it detonate is also a pretty great deal ? Not to mention how the butcher, scrap-beak or the assassin HATE poison bullets.

    The damage drop off of the suppressor exacerbates the lower damage of the poison ammo. I play trios a lot. In extended team fights, I would rather have all my shots be normal ammo than half poison. Just a personal opinion though

    I just feel that everything it does the crossbow does better imo. If you are using this thing sub 30m why not just go for the one hitter quitter? Not to mention the utility explosive bolts can bring still can blow barrels and breach or scare people out of chasing when you don't want them to. If I go for the single shots I usually like the ICI riposte to give me a saber while having a secondary that can threaten. I will give it a go.

    Mix fire with normal. It takes around 15 seconds, to heal up the charkoal effect of fire, even if you are healing instantly. In that time you are onehit for normal ammo. In combination with an uppercut you get plenty of normal ammo, so you dont lose anything, but get some memes (barrels) and chances to put pressure on the other side.

    @@HomeReel It's mostly just there to take the spot of a flare gun, more than PvP. If your buddies are using sparkses (unsilenced ones in particular) too though, suddenly that little bit of charcoal HP becomes really meaningful. I usually do the same thing just with poison ammo instead of fire. Long for players, poison to speedrun past all the immolators and armoreds that might be a hassle. Either one is also nice for farming weapon XP after a prestige if you're missing a few things.

  • @scotch1148

    Honestly, strange opinion, but I really think the main point to having a suppressor is for PvE, as, even if you aren't "spotted", you SHOULD still rotate, at least that's what I think, you don't know 100% that nobody knows where you're firing from, and if you're a solo, it really isn't worth the risk since nobody is there to revive you. If you rotate, you can catch enemies who think they're in cover way more often. Since if you get hit, even by a silencer, you can still tell roughly where it came from. So that begs the question, why not just run the sniper/marksman variant to make those shots more accurate and lethal? Silencers can make it more difficult to pinpoint where the shots come from, but as a solo, I'd rather be able to accurately and reliably take out someone at range loudly to make it a 1v2 instead of whittling down people's heals, you cannot win a 1v3 if it's an endurance fight. They have 3 times the heals as well as world medkits. It's not really viable. I'd say if you wanted something silenced, and if you need to get close for high damage anyway, just run a bow or a crossbow. Anyways, that how I weigh the two options, it's pretty obvious to me which I prefer, but others might prefer silencers, although I personally couldn't see why, who am I to stop them?

  • @HomeReel

    @HomeReel

    One advantage of the suppressor is that when a third team shows up, they are much more likely to attack the Hunters they can hear shooting. That happened to me over and over while testing this. Audio is so important in this game that it often determines where you push your attacks. Having a suppressor means you can rotate (and I agree you should) but it also gives you much more flexibility WHEN. You don't necessarily have to move after taking a shot. You can just return to cover and wait for more context. I try to show as many different scenarios as I can in these videos. Two things to note, 1) with practice, you can take out people realizably with the suppressor. I land headshots all the time with it. The marksman is great for extreme ranges but that sight can be a hindrance in close fights. 2) The crossbow has a ballistic trajectory and basically no penetration. The sparks suppresor is more reliable in medium range fights and has more penetration power than the crossbow or Vetterli with base ammo. It has unique strengths if you allow yourself to use them. But also, loadouts are a choice. What choices people wanna make is up to them. These guides are just my advice on how to use things, not gospel. Thanks for the comment!

  • @scotch1148

    @scotch1148

    @@HomeReel Honestly you make some good points, I just feel like if you're playing the preferred playstyle of snipers, which is hit and run, then the other team showing up shouldn't be able to easily attack you anyways, they normally end up focusing the other team because you're always rotating, from my experience. So it's just, why play completely stealthy with the silencer over playing with a sniper? You can reliably take out people with the suppressor but to me it's definitely easier with a sniper scope on the sparks, especially if someone is running, crack-peeking with a scope over distance or in general can also be easier, and you don't have a slower muzzle velocity. The silencer is better for follow up shots, but because of the one-shot nature of the sparks, follow-ups with that same gun become redundant and the only way to keep the completely silent playstyle with reliable follow-ups would be with a silenced nagant. The sniper sight is difficult to use at close range, but, if you're playing a sniper, you never want to get close anyways, and I still find it bearable when fighting people in the same compound. What you said is really true though, loadouts are a choice, and even though I don't see why I would take a silenced sparks over a scoped one, others might. I know a lot of people find snipers boring. And yeah, it's not like you're trying to argue one is better than the other you're just pointing out the strengths and how to play it. I was just stating my really long, drawn out opinion on suppressors to be honest. lul.

    @@HomeReel sure sparks caries 2 type of ammo. Using fire and normal rounds are surprisingly great. Since fire causes burn dmg on any hit making total hp pool 140. Most weapons cant really use this except the sparks. Even with the decrease over range the consistency of knocks with the combo is dirty. You have to 2 tap anyways unless your hitting all head shots. But the extra 15 seconds of time to one hit people is super useful. Especially in duo or trio where it can be hard to figure out who has what. I also find with the exception of dark maps people find it super hard to actually pin point on first shot on muzzle flash. Leading to good rotations and great amount of confusion when switching from a bright fire ball to a otherwise invisible shot of keyboard smashing death. I saw this on the ratcha vid tried it myself and I have to say it was surprising how consistent it makes the gun. Especially with how I find the gun to kinda lack in kill potential solo, ending up in the dance of hitting and waiting and hitting and waiting at a distance. shoot him once push to a side you have a bit of time to one tap these dudes. Tho your also welcome to disagree great videos man and question do u stream.

    I disagree, just slightly, having one regular ammo and one incendiary in solo play is absolutely amazing. Red Barrels go Boom easily with incendiary, and once you fire a regular bullet at someone people tend to rush for the next Cover, since they have no idea where you are, this combined allowed me to get some of the easiest double kills and even one triple already.

    Sparks silence with fire rounds, uppercut, and if needed, a Derringer. The sparks silencer/uppercut combo even with fire rounds allows you more standard ammo than running the sparks with anything else and no special ammo, but the fire rounds allow you to A. Kill annoying AI like hives or bared amoured easily, B. you lose nothing other than wall penetration with those 9 fire rounds, C. You gain the ability to set up ambushes using barrels of all types, D. The uppercut still allows for "longer" ranged 2 tapping and the Derringer is decent for CQC as it still holds a headshot potential of 60m, E. If you tap someone with the fire rounds you reduce max HP allowing the next round to potential kill even if they heal or at least set them on fire allowing for "easier" pushing. I disagree that using the sparks with half special ammo is a bad idea, if anything it mixes up your gameplay and like the Martini it loses nothing from having half special ammo, the uppercut fills your ammo reserves and adds a nastier side arm, the Derringer filling the really close range, fire ammo is only $35 so isn't exactly bank breaking.

  • @HomeReel

    With the uppercut and fire ammo, you increase the cost of your loadout by 310 dollars. I feel like you would have a bigger return of investment by purchasing stronger consumables than giving yourself 9 fire bullets to ignite a barrel or make someone two tap for 15 seconds. If someone has the time to heal, the will mostly have the time to wait for charred health too. But also, I'm not here to stop people from enjoying custom ammo. If you think it has value, use it

There is usualy not even one silenced gun (nagant is exception) in higher tier lobbies, because experienced players are always moving fast and can spot you imediatly by sight sound and shot direction. And then - only downsides left. Its usable only in low tier or camping games.
