The Sound of Steam Trains (HD)

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Steam Trains are a part of the past, but there are many operational today. See a collection of hard-working steam locomotives with passenger and freight trains in 2017 & 2018.
You can see a plenty of German locomotives like 01 150, 50 3501, 44 1486, 01 519, 01 066 or engine from the Harz narrow gauge railways.

Nothing as romantic as a steam locomotive. They feel like they are straight out of fairy tales, which describes a fire breathing demon making loud noise and leaving a lot of smoke due to the firey breath. Hop these things exist for eternity.

I grew up, spending my Summers (1950's) at my Grandparents in Emmaus Pennsylvania. I always slept in the front room, for right across the road and up an embankment would go by all night- whistles and steam engines and used to lull me to sleep. I've lived within a few hundred feet of train tracks ever since then in many different homes. This is music to my old ears!

My uncle's friend, Eric, told me about a train wreck on my uncle's property. In the winter of 1896 there was a steam engine that was late getting from Huntingdon to State College with the township of Spruce Creek along the route. On the property, there's woods and a ridge in the woods. On top of that ridge is a rusty OLD railroad. The train's number has been long forgotten since then, but the wreck resulted in no survivors, with only one whiteness. The train was going too fast when the brakes broke and the engineer blew the whistle as long as he could. The train hit a bend, derailed and plowed through the woods and the boiler exploded. Again, the wreck resulted in no survivors. The conductor, and the engineer were scalded to death by the steam, while the fireman (the guy who shoveled in the coal) was found burned to death IN the furnace. During a fire in the town hall, the records of the train wreck were burned and the story is only known because it has been passed down and told over and over again. Ever since I heard about the wreck of the forgotten train, there's something haunting about the sound of an old steam engine whistle.

Steamies the best sounding trains I’ve ever heard. It’s something nice and chuffing about them. 4:45 that’s a slippery track but the steam engine made it but you can clearly hear it struggle. I always get the theme song from Thomas the tank engine playing in my head seeing this video and i can’t get enough of the sound.

"Why do the trains, they always come in packed to the brim an just leave empty?" "Uhh..." "They always leave empty." "I'm not sure. The scary thing is that we never see the newcomers after a day or two. I rarely see them even when we are to patrol the camps." "Huh." "Plus, I asked one of the officers, and they told me, "Best you don't know, never ask me this again." They wouldn't tell me." "Strange."

Watched this video to get some Ideas. The American Flyers do have a smoke feature, glad though that they don't quite match the real trains. The Smoke Detectors would go off. This video would make the global warming crowd go insaner than they already are. Got to give the Train Engineers a lot of credit. Leaning out the Window in the cold for hours at a time must have been hard.
