This time you may be wrong. Qi Li’s voice is little bit metal feeling in the high note so you reckon that was digitalized but it was not. I was in the recording theatre and I can tell it was much better in the original. These guys barely need digitalized

Super Vocals is a Chinese singing competition involving 36 classically trained singers/music students. During the show, contestants progress from singing solo, to duet/trio/quartet combinations. They are not part of any group. However, 4 top contestants from the Super Vocal show went on to compete as a 'group' on Singer 2019, so they are dubbed the 'Super Vocal Boys'. In this song, the singers' names are (from Left to Right on screen) Ju HongChuan, Wang Xi, and Li Qi.

YL, how is it China is able to put off so many of these shows? As in different, series of shows? You have "I Am A Singer," "Super Vocal," "Sing My Song," "Something Classics" not sure on that one now, and that's not even, scratching the surface. As a North American fan who speaks no Chinese, I can't keep up, actually. Can you provide a list of all your best, singing/talent shows so I can begin to check out more of them, as I'm becoming a big, big, fan of Chinese Pop Music and Asian Overall, in general. Canada and the U.S. have nothing that comes even, remotely, close to this. Much Love from Canada. Out.

@cityhunterhf : Thank You, City Hunter. Much Appreciated. Can you tell me if you know if there will be a season 3 of "Super Vocal?" That show is my favourite above all the rest. The level of talent on that show, completely, blows my mind. Honestly, I know a lot of Americans might hate me for saying it, but it blows "American Idol" and the "Voice USA" totally, cleanly and completely, out of the water. These shows are laughable compared to the level of talent on "Super Vocal." Honestly, I'm not trying to pit one nation or culture against another, it's just that it is simply, TRUE, point blank, period. If someone knows of a show in the U.S. that can compare with "Super Vocal" in China, I would love for them to tell me, as I'm not aware of any, at all. And I don't even, want to bring up the pitiful state of the music industry, here, in Canada. I love my nation, I really, do, but honestly, we desperately, need to get our act together better, much, much, better, in that regard, sadly and shamefully. Overall, I think season 1 of "Super Vocal" was better than season 2. But still, compared to other shows of this nature, in other parts of the world, I'm not sure this show can be beat. Cai and Gao became my two, favourites from that season, and I continue to try to keep up with what they are doing, to this day. I'm a huge, huge, HUGE!, fan of the new, official, Super Vocal Boy group, and can't wait for them to start touring internationally, which they MUST, SIMPLY, MUST, SOON! City Hunter, would you say the shows I mentioned in my reply, represent most of the main, current, shows of this nature? Are there any I missed that you think could be worth watching, as well? I've seen this show where they showcase up and coming Rock Groups, and being an Older Rock Fan myself, not getting any New Rock in Canada now; I'm quite interested in this show, as well. Lastly, and I apologize for bombarding you with so many questions; I'm currently, going through the "Untamed" mini-series, and am quite impressed with the acting of the two, main, characters, even if, it might be a bet over the top occasionally, for western taste; and am wondering where I can see more Boy Love Dramas of a similar nature. I say Boy Love, as it's my understanding that this is what this mini-series is classified under. I will say that I would have loved to have seen a little more closeness and intimacy between these two, even if, it were on the level of best friend/brother type relationship. It's hinted on, all throughout the series, but never, expressly, expressed. And, are these guys great friends in real life? I know many of their fans would love for them to be more, but so far, I see nothing to show that they may be anything other than extremely, good friends, should that be the case. I will say, I absolutely, adore Wang Yibo's role in this series, even, above the other fellow - forgive me but his name escapes me at the moment - who everybody else seems to be going all, ga-ga about. Now I love his role too, and so well played, but I love Wang's character so, so, much more, and Wang plays it right to the T, as if the guy was made to do that role. Honestly, I can't see anyone doing it better. Sorry, I'm almost, asking you to describe for me almost, the whole, of current, Chinese, pop culture, but any pointers you can offer will be helpful. I would love to see more Boy Love Dramas where the actual, closeness and fondness is clearly, shown and not merely, hinted to, as we seem to see in "Untamed." I'm shortly, going to watch episode 34, and I have yet to see much change between them, so at this stage now, I'm not expecting to, sadly. Lastly; I love these guys in real life too, they seem like two really, beautiful, sweet, young, men. China should be proud. As you definitely, should be proud of both Cai and Gao from super vocal, who also, seem like lovely, wonderful, young, men. Now if only the U.S. could get more, into Chinese culture rather than focus on its politics so much, maybe, there would be less tension between the U.S. and China. Just an idea. Sorry for my long winded reply. Much Love from Canada. My Very Best. Be Well. Be Safe. Out.

@cityhunterhf : Hi City Hunter. How are you? I was having problems with my KZread connection last night, or there was problems with the site itself, or something, as I was getting the video to play but nothing else would come up. Seems like KZread is forever, mucking around with their site and not always, to make things better either. Anyway; interesting replies. Thank You. I guess, it can't be lost on either of us that we are communicating here, over an American based website, from a nation that is almost, exclusively, capitalist based. I'm actually, surprised sometimes, that they allow the level of flow of ideas that they do. For now, anyway. I credit that much to them, anyway. And a free flow of ideas is what it's all about, is it not? How could the U.S. claim to be any better than China if it ever, started to suppress or censor stuff that they otherwise, do not like. Not liking something does not necessarily, make it wrong, does it? So am I to take it that you are a Canadian Brother of Chinese descent? This is quite, interesting, and opens more opportunities for conversation with you, on a broader range of topics. I am happy you have chose Canada to move to or your family or whoever was the first to arrive, and not the U.S. Do hope you are happy here, so far. Do hope it truly DOES, feel like HOME, to you. My Brother, where do I begin? So many things I want to say. As I stated in my previous, reply to you; I DO, love my nation, big time. American's don't have a patent or monopoly on patriotism, though they go on with it endlessly, as my passion for this nation and its true, potential, rivals that from any passionate, fanatical, American, anywhere. I am so, pleased that we are not like Americans. I am so pleased that we strive to take a different and hopefully, more balanced and well rounded approach to international affairs. I think one of the proudest hours for Canada, in recent history, is when we refused to ally ourselves with the U.S. in what is now, clearly, known as their Invasion of Iraq, after 9/11. A Liberal Government had the backbone to do this, whereas I'm not sure a Conservative one would have. And in acknowledging that; I'm also, saying I'm largely, Liberal/Progressive in my outlook on pretty much, everything in life. Sad to say, America right now, utterly, sickens me. That is; those who currently, control this nation. Even though, Canada currently, is not a strong, super power in the military sense, I passionately, believe this nation can and hopefully, will play a vital and very important role in the affairs of the world, in the near future, providing we STAY, independent and do things OUR WAY, and not cow tow to the U.S. or anyone else. We have an emerging Canadian Identity and it is NOT, like that of the U.S., to our credit, I believe. If the U.S. itself, refuses to see this, I hope the rest of the world does, at least. Part of that is how we choose to treat nations and peoples that America, currently, does not think highly of. Because we live next door to this nation and have a shared history and heritage in many ways, does not and should not mean that we must crawl up their backside on everything, when we know deep down in our hearts and souls that it is wrong. That's something I've always, been passionate about. I won't lie to you City Hunter, I don't like a lot of Chinese Politics either, I'm sorry. But I also, understand Communism at its purest and highest level, and am very, open, warm and receptive to it. To that extent, I do not believe that it is true and proper Communism that is being practiced in China today, if ever, but more a type of Party Dictatorship. Please, feel free to point out to me the ways I may be wrong here, and I will be very, open to what you have to say. That being said; the politics of any nation only, represents a tiny percentage of ALL, that the nation, people and culture is about, which is why I enjoy focusing in on Chinese music and drama to see that other side of China, as well. People like Cai and Gao and the stars of the Untamed series and so forth, are simply, beautiful, intriguing, people to me, who I'd love to get to know and understand more, rather than Communist, per say. This is the beauty of these things to get people to understand other people at a deep and intimate level. The Prince Character of the Untamed series, the one that Wang Yibo plays, is so much like myself in so many ways, I could so easily, relate to him. I saw NOTHING, that was foreign and strange here, to me, at all. Even though it was a foreign, language, from a foreign, culture, from a time period long since past. Despite that, there was a connection on a very, deep level and where there is a connection there is respect and room for love, is there not? So this is why I say if more Americans do this, rather than forever, focusing on the Communist Regime that currently, runs and controls China, there would be far, far, less tension amoung the PEOPLE, of these nations, if not the government and ideologies, anyway. Would you not agree? I would love to chat about these things more City Hunter, if you are interested. I so hope there can be close ties between Canada and both China and Russia, whether the U.S. likes it or not. If we have good leaders in office who KNOW, what they are doing, then there should be no problems, and America must show us enough respect to trust us here. Correct? My Very, Very, Best My Canadian Brother. Be Well. Be Safe. Out For Now.

Their voices are not enhanced or digitized. Their harmonies are so precise the recording and playback can’t keep up. So it makes it seem as though it’s digitized but it’s not. Also the song in my opinion, is meant to be harmonized just like the original by Simon and Garfunkel. The Disturbed version is good but it sounds angry and too raspy. This is my fave rendition so far. These are just plain amazing.

Pple who listen to mainstream sounds are conditioned to hearing autotuned vocals, so when they hear the equivalent in a real human voice, it does their head in and the only way to keep their sanity is to rationalize what they're seeing and hearing to fit in their mainstream reality. Dimash was accused of the same though not so much anymore i think as more n more ppl saw him live in concerts or catch him singing acapella. China is sooo wayyy ahead in developing its talents and recruiting mentors like Dimash and the best of their own to coach the new crop of singers coming out of their universities. Much respect for chinas appreciation of the arts and actually promoting it through these friendly competitions.

@@shrekswife2164 : You know, one may criticize China's politics and maybe, rightly so in some respects, but damn, like you said, their entertainment industry, right now, can't be beat. I've been a big, big, fan of anything Chinese, as far as their entertainment and singing/vocal shows go, now, for several years. I absolutely, love the "I Am A Singer" show, being amoung one of the very best of its kind, and now, they have even, topped that with the "Super Vocal" show, seasons one and two. And out of that has come "The Super Vocal Boys," which I'm absolutely, cracked about. Absolutely, adore these boys. Dear God, if you have not checked them out yet, please, please, do! They are right up there with the Great Dimash. Gao in particular. Him and Cai both, are absolutely, killer, singer/vocalist. So yes My Darling, I concur with you on that one 2000% and more. I honestly, don't know what other country, right now, that can top China in this respect. I've checked out stuff from Russia but have not come across this type of scene yet. I love a lot of Polish performers, but have yet to see this sort of scene. I'm Canadian myself, and know that there is absolutely, nothing in either, Canada or the U.S. that even, comes close to what they have in China and the caliber of talent they are pumping out. I mean, the Voice shows are an absolute, joke compared to some of these singing/vocal shows coming out of China, and indeed, pretty near, everything else in their Arts and Entertainment field, right now. When it comes to this sort of thing, that's about all I watch right now, what's coming out of China, as that's all that really, interest me. So yes My Darling, truer words were never spoken. My Very Best. Be Well. Be Safe. Out.
