@@japanesegardenbristol7842 I know that feeling well. I travelled to Japan with the BKKS in 1975 and 1976 and immediately became enamoured with the Japanese people, their hospitality, the culture and was totally enthralled by the quality of the koi when compared to koi that were available in other parts of the world. Quality today of course is far superior to what was available then but that's what makes koi keeping not a hobby but an obsession.

I am japanese.Nice garden. It's full of Japanese.Did you carve the kanji(Chinese characters)yourself? It is very nice. The sound of water is comfortable.Do you know japanese wind chimes?A good item for summer nights in Japan.I think it suits your garden.

Wow thank you for your comment. Yes I carved all of my plaques and over time I have worked out that some are wrong and I need to change them. I suppose I got bad advice at the time. I will look out for some wind chimes they sound great. Thank you so much 👍🏻👍🏻
The entry fee is £20. absolutely popular.

If I didn't know better I would swear I was walking through a garden in Japan. I have no doubt even the people of Japan would be hard presssed not to believe they were still in Japan if they were to visit your garden. I was wondering, was it your love of Japan that got you interetsed in koi or your love of koi that got you interetsed in Japan?

Wow thank you 🙏🏻 it was my love for koi that got me interested in Japan. My garden and conservatory was built around my koi pond. ⛩👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
