The Solo That Changed My Life

Музыка

One of my all-time favorite guitar solos and an all-time great guitarist. This solo embodies everything that I love and appreciate about Gary Moore's playing.

Only Gary Moore can make a sound like that. I know it's a classic Gibson tone, but the feel, the touch, and the passion are just so Gary. No one sounds like him.

Gary Moore was a genius. You can find a simple example in this video, where he uses a single bend to find all the notes of a lick. Great guitar player, singer, composer and a huge influence for thousands of guitarrists that are also top players. In my opinion, he is at the same level as Hendrix, Van Halen, Malmsteen and other guitar monsters. He is still missed...

Gary is the all time G.O.A.T! No one has the touch, the feel and the emotion that he has. The first song that I listened to was Out In The Fields with Phil Lynott and after this song my vision for music changed forever. Also started listening to Thin Lizzy a lot. Now every time I listen to one of his songs my heart just melts, they are all so powerful.

Empty Rooms live in 87 was my favorite, his vocal and lead at the end were phenomenal, so emotional, brings tears to my eyes and a lump in my throat every time I listen to it, heck just thinking about it now has me tearing up.

I get what you're saying and yes, Gary was the greatest. But listen to the late, great BB a little and I think you'll see why he's rightfully considering the King of the blues.

Seen him with Thin Lizzy at the Hammersmith odeon, it was my first gig. I was 11 and have followed all kinds of rock music since. RIP Gary.

Amazing guitar player. One of the all time greats. I saw him on the Still got the Blues tour in 1990. Albert Collins was his guest. One of the best gigs I've ever been to. At least I got to see him.

Uma das coisas mais legais do Gary Moore e outros dos grandes, é a firmeza e entrega ao tocar.
