The Pre-Gish songs are essentially a lost album. Oui Henri The Vigil Nothing and Everything My Eternity Snap Bleed East I wonder what the trajectory of the band would have been if they had released this album and it did Well. This is easily a Gold album in 1988. Siamese Dream was a desperation album, if the Pumpkins, by 91-92-93 had been an established band how would that have changed Gish, Siamese Dream and MCIS...

I've always thought the same thing! I feel that Jennifer Ever or There It Goes would have been very successful singles in 1989 or 1990.
one of my favs ever!
they should rerecord their older stuff. such great songs had been written is this era. in my opinion songs like everything and nothing or jennifer ever deserve a second chance. but not those overproduced-bubble-sound of zeitgeist. maybe produced/mixed by steve albini oder butch vigg. gish and siamse sound amazing!

I think Billy said he wants to focus on new material (interview, release of Oceania) and not be associated with past hits...I agree with you though, there are a lot of unknown gems from that era that deserves exposure. They should be remade though, Billy's current style...merge from the past/present/future.
