really appreciate you pointed out they fixed the inconsistent squeeze issue, that's the most important part I'm looking for and has a big concern. so there is exactly 1.6x on their minimal focal distance, not 1.52x anymore!

Absolutely! Especially for things like run and gun shoots. It became a big issue. It’s also the reason why I never bought the great joy, 50mm

Great video thanks for reviewing this lens. I am in two minds bout purchasing it. I have the Sirui 50 1.6 with blue flare but I prefer this with the natural flare. I am only put off with the pin cushion distortion and I think the lens is over priced for this such noticeable issue. Great review and thanks!

Help ! I have dark corners when I am shooting in my 35mm anamorphic lens on my Sony A7V. I stretched it on Premiere Pro, but I still have those dark circles and it looks super jello-y. Please advise!

Hey mate! I would suggest turning off any stabilisation in camera ! Also interns of dark corners are you using any filters of a mattebox ?

It's a bit puzzling why didn't make this available in L mount, since Panasonic is the only brand that properly supports anamorphic in their mirrorless cameras, and 1,6x paired with their open gate would be a perfect 2.4:1 ratio. Other than that, really interesting lenses, the image looks great and the constant squeeze makes them pretty much a full-frame laowa nanomorph

They sell an adapter to get you the 2x squeeze

But it’s a 58mm front element, the adapter is 82mm and built for the Venus series, can you adapt up to it?
