I have been a woodworker and hand tool enthusiast for almost 20 years, and still the precision with which some people handle a hatchet is astonishing to me. I’ve always seen a hatchet as being good for only the crudest of work but clearly this is not the case. Looks like I have a lot of practice ahead of me.

As far as separate channel question… guess it depends. We wrestle with that question too. But in the end it’s part of who you are and what you show on the road is who you are and how you spend your time doing what most dream to do. So, I’d say keep it in the same channel but create a prominent playlist that is both accessible and searchable.

Thanks Max! It’s perfect for my nomadic minimal lifestyle. Holds a ridiculous edge forever too. When I find myself a bunch of green wood to process I fill my large van freezer. It’s then that I realize how a bigger axe would be less tiring and more efficient. I might have to look at the journeyman someday. I hope the good folks at Fadir are still as well as they can be?

@@CareyOnVagabond thanks for following my teachings that way. Yes you nailed it. But different tools for different jobs. Their wellbeing is of course priority but them and I are of course eager to get rolling again. I am however aswell releasing another new carver with my friend Maksym in Ukraine who's a one man shop and we had a prototype nailed just before war hit and he's back in the shop now whenever possible. Stay tuned and cheers for the support!

The carving looks really enjoyable and therapeutic. I used to do some of it myself when I was in the Boy Scouts but I just called it "whittlin'". LOL I did wonder why you didn't spread a tarp so that you could easily catch all of those scraps that I have to think would make great tinder for future campfires!
