Yes on a NEW carving channel!! AND YES to a NEW Spoon Carving channel as well!! I hardly any TV!! KZread gets my attention for the most part!! Nite-Nite!!
A separate carving channel would be LOVELY!
I have been a woodworker and hand tool enthusiast for almost 20 years, and still the precision with which some people handle a hatchet is astonishing to me. I’ve always seen a hatchet as being good for only the crudest of work but clearly this is not the case. Looks like I have a lot of practice ahead of me.

I love videos with no narration and just the sound of the work. Very soothing. There's a series on youtube of a man building a log cabin in the woods, no power tools, with just the sounds of the hand tools. Highly recommend!

As far as separate channel question… guess it depends. We wrestle with that question too. But in the end it’s part of who you are and what you show on the road is who you are and how you spend your time doing what most dream to do. So, I’d say keep it in the same channel but create a prominent playlist that is both accessible and searchable.

Beautiful spoon! What wood is that? As for a separate channel, I like the variety you share on your main channel. Some carving videos would enhance the variety. You'd also be reaching some audience that may otherwise not find your beautiful work. What hatchet and tools are you using?
@CareyOnVagabond

It’s apple wood from Oregon. I use a variety of tools, some hand forged but the mora knives and beaver craft listed in the description with amazon links are awesome and inexpensive. I think the beaver craft is my cheapest knife and used the most. The most expensive thing is my hand forged carving axe from the Ukraine made of ball bearing steel. It’s by Woodsmans Finest.
