Summer time is flying time.
Winter time is editing time.
I am now starting to work on my oldest footages, starting in 1993, using Hi8 analogue tapes, partly heavily damaged. Quality is partially horrible and editing and scene cutting this material is a true nightmare. Nevertheless it is worth its while taking all the trouble to save these memories for the future.
This inflight video features a flight onboard Malev Hungarian Airlines from Frankfurt to Budapest back in 1994, 23 years ago., almost a quarter of a century.
History of Malev TU-154B-2 HA-LCP
Airframe 81A474 was manufactured 1981 at the Aviakor plant.
Delivered to Malev Hungarian Airlines, registered HA-LCP, March 7, 1981. HA-LCP was stored in Budapest since December, 2000 and ferried to Moscow-Vnukovo, April 17, 2001. Sold to Turan Air, Azerbaijan, and registered 4K-85474, May 23, 2002. 4K-85474 was registered 4K-474, August 16, 2002. 4K-474 is reported stored at Baku airport since July, 2008.

    One of my favourite aviation memories of being in the cockpit of a Malev TU 154 landing in FRA. The ATC gave the pilots a hard time because they couldn’t maintain a slow approach speed, we landed at 200 KTs! These planes were a built for speed and performance.

    Tu-154M also my favorite. But very sadly it's a history already. If I had choice I would fly only on Tu-154, Tu-134 and IL-62.

    R.I.P. MALÈV az utolsò öt Tupit még csinàlhattam, sőt LCU ; LCP megvolt - 1998-ban oda vissza Krèta az egyik capt Magyar Ernő volt .....

    I just love the sound of that wherrr just before the engines kick in to fully start. It reminds me of the DC-8's earlier versions back from the 50s and up until the mid 60s. That's one of the sweetest sounds of aircraft I've ever heard. Those were definitely great childhood memories! Were there 4 engines?
