As far as I know that is the case for all people who stutter and can be used in therapy to reduce it. I once attended a meeting where one attendee had a strong stutter and was obviously very insecure about it. If anyone had decided that everyone had to sing instead of speak this boring meeting could have been much more fun and maybe it would've been easier for him, too.

@@localCrows A former college of mine I had to train had a very hard stutter and was very shy because of it, to the point that he had a glowing red face instandly when he needed to say something. He had therapy over a few months and learned a technique which involves humming all the time and it really helped him to talk with barely any stutter and he changed so much and became a much more open and confident person. I didn´t mind at all that there was someone humming all the time around me because I was very happy for him.

My friend I grew up with knows how to sing. No one knew until 8th grade because I begged him to raise his hand when the teacher asked who wants yo try out for a solo for our graduation. And when we all were finally in rehearsal he stepped up. Thinking about that day still gives me chills. My boy song his soul out and the teachers were even teary eyed. They were so upset that he went to this school from kindergarten up until 8th grade and never tried out for 1 talent show, never told our choir teacher about his voice and etc. He's a truck driver now and still sings until this very day.

As someone who studied music ed and ended up on a different path, this makes me smile so much! I love to help bring people's ability to sing out of them. Most everyone can sing decently and thinks they are terrible just because they're not spectacular at it. Music is good for the soul! It's great to listen to it, but it's an even deeper experience making it yourself!

Fr!!! I got goosebumps just watching the teacher's reaction
