am i the only one who thought the time for the speedrun was 3 seconds, and came in to the video confused?

You just explained how Benex's run was near-perfect. But Illumina still manages to take the record no matter what.

You probably haven't even watched the video. Benex did beat the record and he holds it as we speak, the reason is because Benex had 15 seconds of loading screens, and the time in that speedrun only counted in-game time, and not loading screens, so after the loading screen time being reduced, Benex was still faster.

RubyPiec No... he doesn’t. The only reason Illumina had the record was because of hardware differences. Illumina does not “technically” have the win.

everyones talking about how benex must have felt to find out he lost the record 3 seconds later, but no ones talking about how he must have felt when the guy who beat him took the time to find out who really won and forfeit the record. i dont watch illumina so i could be way off, but he seems like a humble dude

the last 5 minutes of the video put me through hands down the most emotional sequence of back and forth conflict ever in my life

This really is a stellar video, and I continually go back to it from time to time because it's just so well put-together and informative and pleasant to watch. That said, I always laugh my ass off when you say "He's about to innovate the category. Remember that saddle he got in the temple? Now he's gonna use it to ride a horse." Man, I get that it was a new strategy, but it sounds like you're implying that using a saddle to ride a horse is revolutionary and it's hilarious

(also, this is a joke, im aware that dream has not made a response yet and that there is still a chance he didn’t cheat on the speed runs in question - i honestly really hope it comes out that he didn’t!! he seems like a cool guy, and he’s definitely really skilled, but realistically the numbers don’t look great)

@@kyshka im honestly sort of confused over who to believe at this point - at first the mod video seemed really legit, but then dream’s video made it seem like the math may have been faulty and that his run rly was legit, but then reddit got its hands on it and it seems like we’re back to square one...at this point i almost don’t care anymore, i think both sides just want to be done with it at this point and i’m in agreement with that hopefully what comes out of this is a better way to prevent cheating, like an anticheat mod or special server like ppl including dream have suggested

Will you do a video on set seed glitchless minecraft bedrock speedruning? It's really interesting because there isn't any seed finding tools or seeds with all the eyes in the portal because there are only a few billion seeds. Also beds are not a viable strategy because they do much less damage. The current world record is at 11 minutes and was completed in a nether update beta.
