    Good job Ronny, fixing a track is the way to go. Many are to lazy & will just look for the easy way out. We must protect our future 4x4 endeavors.

    That wasn't just any local! You were speaking to one of the 👑(fantastic people BTW) 9:50 What can look like a benign rut in the track can easily turn into a 1.5M+ deep hole with a 1M+ undercut that collapses if you get too close or try to straddle them- Instantly diffing out your rig and possibly tipping it on it's side. After the storms that have rolled through recently there are plenty of these around just waiting to catch out the unwary... make for great content though!! 😁

    two important tips for you, before doing a big hill put your seat forward a little bit because you'll sink back into the seat a bit more and if you stop/stall or whatever without vacuum for the power brakes you'll have to push the brake pedal harder for the same result pushing you back further in the seat at which point you might be tiptoe on the pedal with no way to stop completely. never disengage or engage lockers under load. engage on the flat before the hill and on the flat at the top of the hill. disengaging halfway up the locker stays engaged until load is released because you're still on the hill the locker may only partly disengage before load is applied again now it's relying on a partial engagement under load.

  • @Alsinsin

    @Alsinsin

    Indeed, I was wondering why you would release a locker halfway through. I am inexperienced, and I would have engaged the locker at the start and only released it when stopped at the other end. Incredible scenery BTW 😀

    UHF only 5watts as anything higher requires a license to have which is not cheap. We can get HF but that’s a pain in the 🫏 to use and not many use that anymore also requires a license and membership to have. Hard to find a good 80 series without a stack of Kms/miles on them so I’d say a 105 series or 76

    These vehicles are setup for long range traveling and not for rock hopping. Very different style of driving. These type of vehicles are also not the best option for hard wheeling that’s more of a job for a Jeep or something old school with great wheel travel and big tyres/tires with just wheeling mods (not touring mods; long range fuel tanks, water tanks, roof tents, fridges, kitchens ect ect). On the flip side these vehicles can go a very long distance ‘remote’ and be self reliant / self sufficient a cross a desert for example.
