What a recovery.... Just too many standing in close proximity! All went well, but I would like to know the tension figures on that cable before the 80series tipped back on its wheels... IOW while it was still on its roof and max tension on that winch cable/ synthetic rope. And then no open bonnet and our driver sitting in the line of fire in the cab... Oh boy I get them shivers!

The local guys, (indigenous), have been doing car trips up and down a lot of it for many years in old Holdens and Ford Falcons etc. I'm full of admiration for their skill in achieving where they go in vehicles that are not four wheelers. Us boys get up there in our super "pimped out" four wheelers and can still get into trouble with ease.
