The serious business of comedy | Aditi Mittal | TEDxIIFTDelhi
Aditi talks about her unconventional career choice, the mistakes she made and the lessons she learnt on her way to recognition. She talks of the most satisfying and dissatisfying aspects of her career path by laying emphasis on the power of the audience’s opinion. Lastly, she encourages all to get their respective stories out there because no democracy can ever exist without dissent.

crowd is dead.. she is amazing
Rarely do we see a woman stand up comedian inspire us with her success story in India, the land of thousand goddesses and the crowd couldn't even give a roaring applause for her beautiful speech!

Saravana Kumar seriouslyyyy
For all those who don't realize - tedx is not a comedy platform. Aditi was on the stage to inspire people, not do stand up comedy. I wish people were more open to the concept of assuming different roles in different settings.

Irony is that when a stand up comedian is actually making people laugh on a Tedex talk, people point fingers on them for not inspiring and just doing comedy and here they expect her to make us laugh whilst ignoring all the wise words.

Contrary to popular opinion, I quite enjoyed this talk. It was getting to know her and her decisions. Most importantly she spoke of freedom of speech, so she if she's been given the TEDx stage, let her speak about whatever she wants (I know i would).
I suppose it requires intelligence to understand this talk or her sense of humour. Ignore the haters and forgive them their shortcomings. Loved this talk.

Can you shutup for once ? Acting all cool, etc.
to all the haters, aditi mittal's talk was good laughable n enjoyable...n to all it didnt seem like a ted talk...do u evn knw what a ted talk is...a platform to voice ur thoughts ideas n experiences...she just did that...I applaud her for being able to stand proud as one of the best stand up comedians in india where men cant let a woman grow...he chops off her wings evn before she learns to fly...n to pple sayin she wrngly quoted frost...she meant she took the less chosen path because to her that path was the only one she could see...she was born to b different n is proud of it...so again to all the pple who say this talk sucked...first try doin a stand up comedy..get booed on stage n if u still hav the courage to go back..then talk!!
Loved the talk. Ignore the haters, keep up the great work. :)
i love you aditi mittal :) i have never heard such a brilliant ted talk before. a real talk, based on humanism, on the perspectives of a pure heart that hangs in there, unlearning what it has been taught by making the so called mistakes . the philosophical idea behind the alarm clock song, AMAZING!
the crowd did not understand a single reference or statement. bleh crowd.

Commenting here is the most easy job But actually doing something in front of so many people is the most difficult job So before disliking any video or commenting any thing bad Just think for a sec , what if u were standing at that point time nd will u be able to perform something like this ?
I know I'm late for commenting now.. but this video has truly inspired me.. love u miss mittal..
Lol impressed!.. Brain just moon-walked off stage!! She really pushes the envelope with this rocking speech.

@AditiMittal People have a lot to say be it positive or negative. She makes the certain section of our audience cringe, because she hits too close to home. No comedian I have watched had 100% watchable content. That’s how writing works. You have some very intelligent humor hidden in the “liked by the masses humor”. Good job Aditi, you all comedians are breaking several ceilings that needed to be broken. And again only at 6.00 minutes but enjoying this TEDx. Btw tedx isn’t comedy show people.
U r so open minded and yes u have struggled a lot in ur life , i thought that u r happy ur whole life that is the reason that u can make others happy.... But u forget ur sadness just to make other happy. Im inspired by u. Thank u so much for showing ur serious side also

It's more like a CV.
Love you
The harsh sound of "T" is very irritating that you can't ignore it. I appreciate her comedy though..

Ummm... because it was sarcasm. It's actually really sad that women are made to do such roles, the fact that the characters were kaam wali and sexy Punjabi aunty. This is not how women should be represented in Bollywood.

+Bhakti Varma exactly! it was not a joke to laugh at!
IIFT crowd sucks. No doubt these guys are depressed as they couldn't get into XLRI or any top IIM.
It's a quiet crowd at the TEDx Narcolepsy Conference!
Comedian...oye...tell joke...just nailed it
Can someone please translate what the script said? Thanks 💙
Is it me only or anyone else reminds of Monika Geller
even the audience is yawned she yawned it totally
Hahaha....She gave the example of the freedom of speech ppl not talking sense, She spoke about meta and parody. Isjka video dekhkar aisa hee lagaa..hahaaha
I dunno what she really talked abt.. but It was funny :D
kkhh.. kya kool hai hum !!!
Why people are commenting about audience being jerks and not responding...its ted talks the mic is far away from the audience the recording is made with very little sound hindrance...infact being so many hurdles she made dem laugh very badly which was captured in the video 2 to 3 times...
2:06 *amazed the crowd didn't found it funny*
how old is she?
can anyonre please help me identifying what shoes are these, marvellous! :)

you are too good.. but these are lame audience..
GIVE ME SOME WIT!
It's a sad day when a TED speaker misquotes Fraust because she doesn't understand the poem. Here's a rule of thumb for you, if you cannot understand something, don't make a reference to it.
