He's a genius. He unlocked the first iPhone as a kid, rooted the PS3, and Galaxy S5. A legend.

go for it bro.
I hope he has the good intentions of Elon Musk and Aaron Swartz in creating a future for the betterment of human kind, not greed.
Where is this company now?
What is the music at the beginning ?
Why did this video just show an old footage of the car almost colliding with the suv?
he even helped me root my g2 a few years ago with towelroot
Nice ILX
hola me llamo José Luis Pacheco soy de Oaxaca México y te agradezco a ti y a tu equipo por hacer que el futuro sea hoy..!!!!
San Fran folks...best city in the world.
this is great work here, though you need some serious computing power when it comes to A.I, deep learning, or machine learning

LOL. Brilliant. “Ghost ride the whip”🇨🇦
no bonnet reveal??? i wanna see the engine/motor!
He reminds me of steve jobs. Same thinking
This seems like it could be pretty good.
legend
How this car would enter the freeway, how it would merge in the freeway?
would this work on a Toyota celica ssI 2000 model ?

First Apple, then Sony...now Google & Tesla
Can the car park itself?
Haha, I'm wondering if any of that code visible in the video is intentionally whacked to throw people off.
He didn't seem very convincing to me. The way he bragged about his system, I would expect a lest a model with hidden cameras and sensors, and without hitting a cone in the first try

Maybe...Maybe he wanted to joke around and have the system off for some hehes and hahas lol...
acura should jump on to the program and give him more cars to test !
At least Telsa has it build in
Please replace with xbox controller/ps4 controller.
haha ,i see banana pi BPI-M1 on it.:) so cool .

if you don't succeed just try again..

some of your audio (parking lot footage) has some miserable HF sounds, ripping my ears to shreds. @Forbes +Forbes
hillary got there too ..funny
The whole point of having a car is to enjoy the feel, dynamics etc. If Teslas doing EXTREMELY poor in the market of both electric and Self driving with a higher market cap, absolutely no way you'll do any better.

tesla is more than self driving...
I would love him if he didnt hate elon musk :(
This looks promising. Tesla's autopilot can drive in freeway traffic. It will slow down and avoid collision with cars in front of it and move with the traffic flow at the speed of the flow up to the maximum speed set by the operator. And I do like that they are not trying to override humans, but give them tools to make life easier. I wouldn't call this self driving. I would call this self piloting. Driving is more than just steering, speed control and breaking. You have to make decisions of where you want to go. What exit to take when on the freeway, maximum speed, maximum separation. The car doesn't make those decisions, the operator does. What an autopilot system such as this should do is put the driver in executive mode as opposed to pilot mode. The vehicle takes care of the second to second piloting of the vehicle and the operator inputs the parameters the AP has to work within. And of course the operator can always assume direct pilot control if the system gets confused or unsure of itself. And trust me, that *will* happen.

With full autonomy you will be able to simply put in your destination and then the car will figure out the best route (using a detailed mapping database in the cloud and your preferences--cheapest, fastest, avoiding toll roads or taking them, max speed, etc.) and take you there without any further input, changing lanes along the way to avoid slow moving vehicles and other obstructions. It will drive just like a person who is a good driver because it will have learned by watching how people drive. The machine learning will be done by deep neural nets executing on massively parallel processors such as GPUs. It's basically a solved problem for Tesla and Nvida. It just takes some more data collection and refinement. This guy understands how to do it at least as well as Tesla and Nvida (perhaps better if you believe his own hype), but I don't think he has the cloud data to truly do it. One of the reason he wants to sell his system for cheap is to collect that data. What he really wants to do is sell his company to a car manufacturer or first tier supplier. Most of the auto companies have no idea what they are doing. They are messing around with Lidar, which is a dead end. Expensive, and can't be used in dense fog, dust, etc. Also hard to incorporate into the styling of a car. Radar is much better, also sonar and cameras. They also don't seem to be using machine learning effectively or they would be much further along.
is this the Sony hacker guy?

I'm pretty sure a big reason people buy a Tesla car is for the environment the AutoPilot mode is just a plus.
yo, this guy is batman restoring justice and leveling the playing field for all the ballers rolling in buckets. rolling not scoring buckets. lol. besides left and youber aint doin shit, the drivers and you the passenger helping them monopolizing a service based sector that those jokes dont know about cuz theyre hands-OFF WITH the nitty gritty elbow grease. this guy is solid, and driven , literally. i wanna be on his team! if u get hacked, call your foul! hahaha

Google's self driving is probably better than tesla, but tesla does make better cars
Not going to happen for Hotz.
So, what is the driving problem, in a natural (not classical MIT AI) intelligence framework? Well, you don't even need a goal. Given enough data stream to populate the mind's model-of-the-universe (or all the universe it was exposed to), ALL you have to do is predict what's going to happen. The mind then executes the behavior that goes along with that prediction. You feed it enough driving video, you get a horse-brain. But it's a car-horse. Any equestrians out there, think about what a horse does. It usually just passively goes with the flow.
Would it also break for Trump? True AI wouldn't. The ultimate test.
