This is awesome! I've been trying to get into this game recently and was disappointed to see there wasn't any info about a translation patch when I went looking a couple months back. Now I can fully enjoy the dialogue of the game without having to learn a new language. lol
Great vid, Dan! That's such a shame about the timing issues as yeah, that is a stellar translation effort and a charming game.
Thank you Del Boy! (Not sure if he’s reading he understands that reference but I’ll use all the same) Never played Parappa, only on a OPSM demo disc but know it was a hugely popular game - sensational that we are in a time where we can experience a JPN only game 20+ years later Incredible
That's a shame about the input issues. I love a good rhythm game and even harder ones like Gitaroo Man, but can't be dealing with wonky inputs sadly. Still, amazing effort by the A-Team, and great video mate!
Very cool
I know that I'm pretty late on this one, but it isn't just you: the game's input detection genuinely just tanks completely past stage 2. There's a reason why everybody seems to fail on stages 3 and 6 numerous times, it's almost as if Altron were trying to artificially lengthen the game after realizing that story mode isn't quite long enough after realizing how short (roughly 30 mins deathless) it was. Still, great to see one of my favorite rhythm games translated at long last!
I love rhythm games and it's always a good new when a Saturn game just have a translation. To bad that this one have input issues.
Sounds like a fantastic translation effort marred by it being a very mediocre game. I still can't wait to give it a try regardless! Great review Dan.
