I’m learning to speak mandarin this year but I already know French ( bc I’m French ) English and Spanish and very little German . People start to freak out when they see me speak le chinoise. I got a friend who speaks the cantonese dialect too lol

@@merrymaurader2521 As a Eng/Mandarin bilingual speaker, I think the best tip I can give you to sound more fluent in Mandarin is to slightly drag out your pronunciations of the characters, so all the different tones for each chinese character sounds more prominent. A big issue I find when foreigners learn Mandarin is precisely because they don't emphasis each chinese character's tone enough, so at times it becomes difficult to discern which potential character are they using in their speech.

@@spendingtimetogether8428 Merci. I recommend learning the French IPA consonants and nasal vowels for fluently. C’est très utile mais les gars pronounce the words differently than we do. Still useful

Ouais. Aux USA, chez les médias traditionnels on ne parle jamais de telles choses, car cela ne sert pas leurs vrais intérêts. CNN, MSNBC et Fox News appartiennent à des grandes entreprises qui sont beaucoup plus intéressés aux profits qu'á la recherche de la vérité.

Oh, yes, your comment has more truth to it than people give you credit for. French has so much slang and or familiar words, that Isabelle Rodrigues wrote a book a half an inch thick on French slang and French familiar words.

I don't speak mandarin, but I enjoyed listening Rita's speech in that language. 👍

Très bonne vidéo! La météo, c’est bien si on est au courant du vocabulaire.. Ça m’était arrivé une fois lorsque je faisais promener le chien (un dalmatien-un autre « démarreur de conversation ! »), un mec que je croisait de temps en temps au parc avait entamé la conversation avec « Ça caille, non? ». Malheureusement, étant étudiant, je ne connaissais pas cet expression à l’époque et j’avais fait répéter le pauvre mec 3 fois avant qu’il m’a expliqué qu’il faisais froid. ❄️ 🦮

Can one use prendre and mettre interchangeably when speaking of the time? "Il en prends du temps a arriver" is ok?
