I use both, but I still think that it would be better if they set this as an option. As I watch it 3 times: 1 - no captions, 2 - french captions, 3 - english captions, I have to cover the captions with a piece of paper so as to not be tempted to read.

I learned some basic French from Duolingo before we went to Paris in 2015, enough to say, “My husband wants shoes” to a shop keeper. Although my French was really bad, it seemed that Parisians in general appreciated my feeble attempts and were gracious. I’m glad I gave them a chuckle! We found Paris fascinating, by the way.

What I find very interesting is that in the video about Parisian stereotypes, one of the things they mention they reject is the negative stereotype of French people being rude, and saying it wasn't true. Yet in this video, many of the people they interviewed said that the attitude of Parisians is something they don't like. 🤔

J'aime vraiment Paris. L'atmosphère me plaît toujours.

I wrote a longer comment about Paris for everyone who has never been to Paris but I'll make it short: Try to avoid big cities in France. Sure the Louvre is amazing etc. but you won't find the beauty of that country in cities like Paris. Go to the countryside and discover the character of smaller villages. There are so many parties especially in the summer time. You'll have a good time even when you don't speak french.

Hi Hassan! Great question! We've got the same thing on our mind :-) We'd love to have a regular channel but part of it hinges on whether we can take time away from our full-time jobs and courses of study. If you want to help us get to weekly videos and a proper standalone channel then the best way to do that is to become a patron at patreon.com/easyfrench -- we actually wrote there that our goal was to launch our own channel at 300 patrons!

I would agree with you if "foreign fims" means "a true cosmopolitan diversity". If it means "English monoculture" and even "US monoculture", I prefer that it stays as it is. I dislike monoculture in both senses of the word: in human culture as in the agricultural landscape, it is very monotonous.

J'adore Paris!
