A real tip to making your sheets and whites super white is to boil them, or use a blue based whitening liquid or powder meant for clothes. It will make your whites super white. Edit - not bleach. It’s called clothes whitening liquid/powder

The only thing that she did wrong was "cold water" its bed sheets wich contain skin oils and skin dead cells....use the hottest setting and lower the spin speed for no creases, and take them out as soon as the dryer ends so no creases, and no heat doesn't yellow whites

I just wash it in the “heavy soiled” cycle and that’s it. If I washed it in the regular cycle, they wouldn’t come out as white.

You missed "Bluing." My Grandma used the same method except she sterilized the sheets by hanging them into the Sun to dry. *Don't use scents. The Cotton or Linen is intoxicating on its own. *Use Washing Soda or Borax *Steam Wrinking *Vaccum and Turn your Mattress.

All you need is detergent and white vinegar the other stuff is just damaging your machine and adding a coat of wax to your sheets

You know, I noticed that about the softener one time I opened the washer for something. I felt the water, and I felt a film coat my hand. And I also noticed the detergent wasn’t working as it should because of this wax residue. I stopped using softener after that. I just use dryer sheets.

I have a Samsung Smart Fromt Load washing machine, and the manual has a Warning that says, "use HE detergents only. Do not use non-HE detergent, organic detergent, natural detergent or HE detergents with natural ingredients (such as vinegar, baking soda)." I wouldn't want to ruin an expensive knew washing machine by using baking soda and vinegar.
