I did a multiplayer game recently with my buddy where we played Spain and Portugal, and he genuinely despite not really doing much, was very helpful with the extra manpower, held lines while I was still coring stuff, it was fun.

I appreciate the Grand Battle Plan propaganda. Definitely the best Doctrine. Best army spirits, free naval invasion buffs, night fighting, best defense, and offense is almost equivalent to the other doctrines when you factor in the increased planning bonus.

Just about everything has a nifty extra shift-click function. My personal favorite is shift-clicking an equipment category in the production queue to create that production line at the top of the list rather than the bottom. In construction, shift-clicking on the map queues up the maximum number of whatever building is selected, and shift-right-click takes them all away. Control-click drops the construction order at the top of the queue. And with railroads in particular, after you click the starting location of a line, holding shift while you move the cursor to the destination will find the route with the fewest required segments, though the game doesn't care about whether you wind up with wonky sharp turns on the track that way.

I know this isn’t supposed to be a tutorial but: I am pretty new to HOI4 and conquering Germany like that with infantry is crazy to me. I need a huge airforce and a ton of tanks and it still takes years. Is there a place to look at those games unedited like a vod channel or something? I would love to look at what you do and how you setup and micro your units

Bunch of advice. When you declare on UK, you don’t really have to paradrop. Since you have a significant navy now you can naval invade Wales from northern Spain. Just set up the invasion to fire just after you declare war. Also you can get India for free too. Have an army there and call in your collaboration government in Goa. Take some land. When the peace deal fires you can give all of India to your collaboration government for free. Game is super easy then.

Another nation idea, you can play Lithuania and get the This is Going to be Lit achievement, I already have it, and can verify it is a very fun nation to play when you know what to do. You can also try the other Baltic States, I can't verify Lativa and Estonia because I haven't fully figured them out yet.

Last time I tried to get Brazil peacefully as monarchist portugal (although it was before the Brazil focus tree, so maybe it's different now) it did nothing. There was still a civil war, but because it took a lot of time Brazil was stronger and the civil war took more time too. So just make it quick.
