The Secret Life and Final Days of Robert Shaw, Quint in Jaws
The Secret Life and Final Days of Robert Shaw, Quint in Jaws.
Robert Shaw was a British actor, novelist, and playwright born on August 9, 1927, in Westhoughton, Lancashire, England. He began his career on stage in London's West End before transitioning to film and television. Shaw is perhaps best known for his portrayal of Quint in the 1975 blockbuster film Jaws and his role as the villainous Donald Grant in the 1963 James Bond film From Russia with Love. He was also nominated for an Academy Award for his role in the 1966 film A Man for All Seasons. Aside from his acting career, Shaw was an accomplished writer, with several novels and plays to his name. He passed away on August 28, 1978, at the age of 51.

The USS Indianapolis speech is the greatest monologue in film history. And Shaw doesn't even look or sound like himself as Quint. Now that's acting.

Amen to that. Even though, as A Kid, back then, I loved Shark Sequences, I have always loved USS Indianapolis part as my favorite

You're absolutely right. Even as A Kid I always loved That Scene, but, as A Kid, I More Liked Seeing The Shark. As I've Gotten Older, I've Grown To Appreciate That As My Favorite Scene

And it was impromptu, or so the story goes.
It’s like a bunch of half-assed astronauts put this video together.
I absolutely loved him in “From Russia with Love.” The train fight scene was epic and unforgettable.
Bravo! 👏 An imperfect man, in an imperfect world, that made us, also being imperfect relate to him and be in awe of his exceptional talent. God will no doubt give him a special place in heaven, and enjoy his company. Farewell and adieu friend. ❤
Saw it in drive in movie . I was 9. For me , the greatest part in film history. ( jaws - Indianapolis speech)
So many of the photos used are not Robert Shaw, the last few are of his son who did a “Jaws” play on the London stage called “The Shark is Broken” Check out the trailers for this play as his sons Portrayal of his father is uncanny.

Typical lazy BS channels …. It kind of negates any interesting stuff they got right. But it’s getting worse and worse on KZread as people are relying on AI to do the work for them. F them and this channel.
The fight scene between Shaw and Connery in the movie From Russia With Love was memorable

Robert Shaw was quite striking in "Battle of the Bulge".
RIP Mr Shaw... and thank you
I respect that you made a tribute to the great Robert Shaw. But you could have at least got the pics rights and pronounced the names right as well.

Didn't even mention The Deep That was a great movie
Also he did a great job with his roles in Black Sunday and The Deep.
Why can't they talk about him in the movie called the deep because he did a great job in that movie

He’s the best thing about the movie. He’s one of those actors that definitely left too soon. Too bad he let alcohol get the best of him. Quint is probably his best performance.
Take him for ballast chief

So many easily checkable errors in this video, too many to mention, but The Buccaneers wasn't a sitcom, it was a family action adventure series. Also Laurence *Oliver* 🤣
You forgot force 10 from Navaron
We need a bigger boat 😊
I would check some of these facts..I find it hard to believe that Roy Rogers was drinking whiskey at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade..

@@Frank_Nemo CLEARLY, you ONLY speak 1language. Laurence is the FRENCH spelling of LAWRENCE! Even if I used the wrong version of his name, I WAS TALKING ABOUT THE MISPRONOUNCIATION of the last name...NOT his first. I speak 12 languages, NOT including English, including a number of indigenous languages! What about you? take your time, I'll wait. Oh and I am NOT only American BORN but belong to several NATIVE American nations on BOTH SIDES! So, say something stupid. Trust me, you DO NOT want to mix it up with me, idiot.
Some of the photos are of Robert Shaw. A famous orchestra leader and musician. And what's the deal on this Sarah chick in Maine ?? Never heard that one before .....😮

There's a Spoons in Whitstable called the Peter Cushing, I was there last week for a meal and a pint. It used to be a cinema, the way they refurbish these old buildings is amazing. And there's a Spoons in Deal called the Norman Wisdom.

Laurence OLIVER? Really? Why don't these narrators ever do their research? This sounds more like an A.I. reading the script. Don't you realize this lessens the authenticity of your channel? Wow! I got an instant pain when I heard the mispronounciation of Olivier. Come on there's always KZread or AOL for that matter.
Not West howton but Westhoughton, better known as Cowheads.
I could've sworn that he died in Ireland 🇮🇪. I wouldn't trust any of this information here, I think you better recheck your "facts"😮

The mismatch of photos is ridiculous and makes nonsense and the reader is to rigid ! Keep your day job .
unprofessional narration
That's bullshit he died in mayo in the west coast of Ireland
The AI voiceover stumbles more than once, including pronouncing Laurence Olivier as Lawrence Oliver. Unforced error. Can't you just pay a few bucks for a human to read this stuff?
Text to speech, mispronoucing great actors names. And the intial group phot of the cast of Jaws is not Shaw, Dreyfuss and Scheider.
This is just awful
Crap video Didn know that SHAW was two different people That s what I call actin
FFS, have someone write your script phonetically. I’ve never heard so many FAMOUS names and words mispronounced in such a short segment. It’s just ridiculous. Educate yourself before trying to educate others.
I stopped after a minute or so, the voice is so annoying and also picked the wrong photos,
