Who would have known we would have ended the BEST TACO in Southern California series with the 1st place we went to. This place has the BEST CARNE ASADA TACO...Hands down!
Here at Tacos los Cholos in Anaheim, Ca they grill them to perfection.
From the cuts of meats they use to the way they grill them. Los Cholos has it all. The salsas are in fact a huge part of the success of this taco! You will see how they got their salsas to peek level.
I invited my friend David Cook on my last adventure and boy did he loved them! David has a the ability to tell stories that connect food to the heart.
Thank you to Tacos Los Cholos for being a part in my taco series and congrats for taking home TWO spots. Southern California defiantly has some of the tastiest tacos on earth!

I Finally tried taco los cholos in Huntington park n I was ready to trash it cause most taco spots are decent but I was blown away how amazing it was....highly recommend it

Hello mexi papa great tacos. you have to try El Camino Real in fullerton they have the best tacos de buche they also have tacos de asada, carnitas etc you should try it. its my favorite taco spot. i drive there whenever i can its about one hour away. you wont be disapointed. keep up the great work.

I go the location in Anaheim and at my 40 years alive the best tacos and I’m fully Mexican…they open at 11Am on the weekends and lines are long long I mean it moves but worth it….they have a salsa bar with all the goodies…my favorite taqueria

And I need four of them to make a plate 🍽️ and a beer for$5.50 + plus tax and tip 🍺 yeah, sounds about like $45 per person 😖 and that's today's prices October 2023 😬 ... Yes it is frennns 👍🏼 wholesale beef prices for FLAP meat (aka) ranchera is around $7 a pound 🤫 for ribeye steak 🥩 it's around $11 a pound 🤫 sooo... 2.5 oz of Asada meat with freshly made small $0.05¢ tortilla iz ($1.15) per taco 🌮 annd 2.5oz of ribeye with that same size tortilla iz (1.77) per taco 🌮 and to pay $7.50 each? 🤯 again... CHALE TAMALES 🤣
Their regular carne asada is very underwhelming. The filet and ribeye are great, but are they really worth $8.50 each?
The ribeye carne asada taco at the Mercado Northgate is the exact same prices as Los Cholos and better. I cant speak for what they serve influencers but for regular people I wish Los Cholos respected the rib eye steak and cooked it to order let it rest then chopped it up for your taco just like its done in Mercados Northgate ribeye taco booth. Instead Los Cholos cooks a bunch of them at once then cuts them and puts it in a one of those metal containers so if you come at the wrong time you will end up with the dry rib eye meat from the meat on the top of the container.
Carne Asada is a Northern Mexican cultural thing not so much central mexican. The thing is many mexican Americans in Cali adopt al ot of northern mexican cultural stuff like food and music. The best carne asada in the US is in Arizona cause there’s a lot of norteños there. Also carne asada to be with FLOUR tortillas.

Tacos Los Cholos is good but not as good as Tacos Los Culos.

Tbh tacos los cholos is overhyped and overpriced. Born and raised in HP went to that location thinking it was gonna be good but it was mediocre the reason they won tacolandia as well is cause they gave away free tacos for every vote they got. Of it wasn't for that they wouldn't have won nor been this hyped. Villa's Tacos is #1 and will always be. Iykyk. 🤷♂️
