The Secret Fishing Lake - Revisited

Үй жануарлары мен аңдар

Returning to the secret fishing lake to stock it with some very special fish. We also treated the lake with Oase schlixx to reduce silt without dredging the lake.

When we had a problem with duck weed on one of our small fishing pools,we purchased some cheap pipe lagging and threaded rope through it,dragged across the top of the water as it floats to gather up a lot of the duckweed to make it easier to net out, after a few skims across we cleared at least half of it,after a few more drags across over a week or so we cleared most of it out

@@Mountain_Aquatics Massive? It's a tiny stagnant silted cesspit covered in duckweed, they wont survive. Did you test water quality at all? Nope, you threw an air--ring and some siltex in. Cowboys

Are you an idiot? The water was tested repeatedly for 8 weeks before we introduced any fish. It’s not a cesspit it’s a complete ecosystem and if you actually understood what you were talking about you wouldn’t embarrass yourself by making such ill informed and rude comments like that.

Many of those fish, are going to be eating the duckweed, and if they were to add a couple of mallards 🦆, then they too will help to keep the duckweed in check, and the only reason why the pond was so bad, was because it had no real ecosystem going, which would make it free from the duckweed……
