The film "Sea of fishing nets and garbage" was shot following the research and development work carried out by the Institute of Hydrobiology and Ecology and the Eco Mangystau NGO from September 16 to October 7, 2019 under the program "Conservation of the Caspian Seal Population". Project initiator is Tengizchevroil LLP.
The film presents the results of monitoring, collecting marine garbage and abandoned fishing nets on the coast of the Tupkaragan Peninsula in the area of Generalskaya Dacha and the Bautino, Fort Shevchenko, Kyzyl Ozen villages.
The Kutskevich EP and EcoWasteAktau EP organizations also participated in the work.
