This video was the catalyst of my apostasy two years ago. I HATED it, it made me uncomfortable when I couldn’t refute some points and tried to apply “metaphysical interpretations”. It’s made to help humanity understand the depths and fundamentals of life. Many of these idols are worshipped for their attributes such as Ganesha (Removal of obstacles) Saraswathi (Importance of education) Laskhmi (Importance of wealth). Obviously I don’t believe that there is a god with an elephant head but these idols are made as animals so Hindustan back then would reduce violence and treat animals with respect. Hinduism is like modern art, they don’t make sense but they always have a meaning. Worshipping them is a reminder of how important these elements are to us even from ancient times till the modern era.

If the Quran were pure , then it wouldnt contain threats towards those who want to leave Islam and furthermore it requires clarification and interpretation by so called " Islamic scholars ". Muslims also claim that Quran is universal and timeless , but yet can only truly be understood in its arabic version !

The Quran contains many vague verses, which are fully consistent with the ancient and incorrect views, however, being vague (which is NOT scientific to start with), allows Muslims to re-interpret them as needed. For example, when it says that the Sun and Moon float in orbits AND it mentions day and night in the same verse, this is fully consistent with the geocentric system. However, because today we know that the Sun also orbits in our galaxy, Muslims jump on that. But, if you're honest to the source and it's historical context, you would not argue that it's talking about a galactic year (which is ~250 million years). I another verse (21:30) it speaks of the Earth and heavens being separated, which is exactly what the local creation myths said - so, someone familiar with history and science will see that these simply influenced the Quran, but the verse is scientifically wrong. Muslims cannot allow the Quran to contain a single mistake, so they just re-interpret the verse, and/or science. If anyone else did that they would call them out, of course.

I've literally laid the Quran in the hall on the way to my bathroom, and stood at the other end with a treat. The cat came, and was only able to go over the Quran to get to me, because any other route was much more effort. Meaning, if the cat found it holy, he could've climbed to go around it, but, if it isn't written into the cat NOT to do that, then he will honor biology over the Quran (don't waste calories. Take the easier route.) Well, bad news.. Cats definitely don't give any more fk about the Quran than the bible or a piece of toilet paper. I did all 3. Complete indifference, as you might expect.

I'm an apostate too. I was Muslim till 2021 but so much disturbed and puzzled with nonsense things. Like why would Allah punish innocent people just following other religions? They weren't born Muslim they got what their parents and family taught them. Gender discrimination is wildly remarked there, a woman has no value without being a mother. Homosexuality is quite forbidden but polygamy is highly praised. They especially stop women by hijab and from leading roles. What is happening in Afghanistan, women got banned from education and general mass. They also inspire terrorism. So I hate Islam. Islam destroyed my family too

I think you have not understand Islam properly. Allah does not give punishment to those who are born as non Muslim because when a child is born he is born as a Muslim no matter what his parents were but after the child grows and attains both physical as well as mental maturity then he is no more a child, no more innocent. He knows about good or bad even too a little extent that is quite beneficial to live in a society. But when he grows into an adult surely he might have gained knowledge. If that person even after gaining knowledge did not feel the need to understand his purpose in life then he is a fool. He is led astray by the satan. And in that case if he fails to utilise his knowledge and never tried to know his purpose in life and also failed to understand Islam and accept it then he is going to face the punishment.

I got to know a guy who is Muslim and he is very friendly toward me to the point that he invited me to has dinner with his family when i had oversea assignment at his country. Then as the end, i stayed a bit longer to say goodbye to his parent. Then i got to my hotel room and checked my phone, he invited me to convert to Muslim (I’m Christianity and he knew that) then i send this video to him just to ask him what does he think about your video (frankly, i just want to know his opinion, how he think,...) Then he was beating around the bush and some day later, I messaged him to asked why didn’t i see him online (we know each other on online video game) and found out he had blocked me. I got many Muslim friends in south east asian and i never have any negative fells about Muslim, but this guy made me question about my friendship with my other muslim friends. In the past I’d be too scared to watch this because I would be scared that the evidence would make me disbelieve, and just the thought of me becoming a disbeliever was extremely scary to me. That is the result of the indoctrination and trauma that’s done to children from such a young age in the religion. You’re told that you can’t even question or ponder on the possibility that anything in the Quran could be wrong, or you’ll burn in hell for eternity.

Every single statement in this video is misinterpreted out of hatred. According to the research of Professor Mark van der Meijde, mountains influence the impact of earthquakes. It was already known that the topography of an area has an influence on earthquakes, Mountains can reduce the power of quakes, but also direct them to certain places, making them more powerful than expected.

I think most Muslims that watch this video will stay Muslim simply due to the fact that it is EXTREMELY difficult to discard your entire worldview and sense of purpose since you were a baby. Even Apostate Prophet says he was suicidal when he started to doubt Islam because you grow up believing you will go to hell for even questioning Allah. The cognitive dissonance and shame from the community is way too much to bare for most people so they simply make excuses or find someone explaining that these verses are 'metaphorical' so they can continue on in life without the existential crisis.

I agree with that quote and I’m an agnostic that’s swings more to atheism. But I do think it’s good to embrace the idea of a god, not a religion. Leaving your mind open to the prospect of a god or intelligent designer, accident by an intelligence etc is in its nature more open minded than not. And I would consider being open minded as rational.

Including sharing your moral views on everything? Or are you referring to one of the Gods already created by man? If so which one would you choose to follow? As for being open-minded, I would say that I am open-minded but not to the point where my brain falls out, and simply believing because you want to embrace the idea isn't being rational at all (I'm not saying that you are guilty of this) for I cannot embrace anything supernatural unless there is good, solid evidence to support its existence, that's what makes me rational. Agnosticism is about not having real knowledge to firmly state non-existence (gnosticism is the flip side) and this term doesn't place one on the fence concerning personal belief in one. I would say that everyone either accepts or rejects a gods existence so one should either declare one way or another rather than hiding behind the term agnosticism (which a lot of people do) You by your own description are an agnostic atheist rather than an agnostic theist. Religions and science are incompatible as religions (even the atheist ones) make supernatural claims which simply are untestable.

The universe wasn't fine-tuned for us (humans), after all the universe was in existence for billions of years before our own solar system became a reality, and it will be there when life on this little rock of ours is no more! Once life got started though, that life had to adapt to the environments it found itself in. And the vast majority of life that had once existed is no more because it couldn't adapt. Also, just look at our own solar system, over 99 percent of it is inhabitable for life, so your argument about a finely-tuned universe is actually absurd.

The fact that a high percentage of the cosmos is inhabitable doesn`t mean the universe is not fine-tuned. Our universe is determined by some extremely fixed and precise numbers named The Fundamental Constants and Quantities of the Universe. According to chance alternative, did we just get sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo lucky to have just an absolutely perfect universe for life? Of course not. It is just silly and irrational to conclude this. The probability involved is so ridiculously remote as to put the fine-tuning well beyond the reach of chance. So, why is the Universe fine-tuned for life? Given the implausibility of physical "Necessity and Chance", the conclusion we get from a universe that is fine-tuned for life, is because it was DESIGNED in that way. This is the logical conclusion we get from what we observe and here where the evidence leads us and we should go where they lead us. That's the definition of honesty, to go where the evidence leads. The fine-tuning of the universe is the most powerful evidence for a Creator. Again, you can deny that. It doesn`t mean anything. Your own worldview is not the ultimate reality. You must come up with a satisfactory, observable evidence-based explanation of how this universe, so astonishingly fine-tuned, was possible via pure, unguided, blind, random, mindless natural causes. Of course, if you want to do that you must "suspend your rationality in order to explain how this is possible." - David Hume.

Excellent video. The problem with Muslims is non want to read. They just listen to elders and clerics babble the old obsolete ideas. Here is an example. Muslims often ask me,” what is your religion?”. If I answer I don’t have one, or haven’t decided, the next question that almost always follows is, “what religion were you BORN with?”. In the world of Islam, religion is not a belief you obtain by research, reading, learning and comparing. It is something you are born with and learn by listening to elders, fathers and clerics without questioning any of it. This unfortunate process is what has kept the wold of Islam behind in almost everything. Obsolete foundation creates obsolete everything. Islam is for everyone. Not just the people who are born as Muslims. A non-Muslim can gain more knowledge through research than a born Muslim. And appreciate it more because real research has been done on it. Apart from that, Allah has given all of us the mind to look at certain things with sincerity without hatred and a open mind. Please do that and come back. Islam does not claim to be one with science ( your kind a of science ) , we believe in miracles that are not scientifically proven. That's what a true Muslim is. We do not confuse science with the book of Allah ( Swt ) , because science has 2 sides. ( Because dont get confused, we live and believe in the science that Allah ( Swt ) created ). There are Worldly Laws so that we can live by logic, things are not luck and repeat themselves and keep the law that Allah has made in this world. So that people can function in this. Otherwise I'll jump out of a plane and kill myself... then I can say it's not my fault... I didnt know , right ? hahahahah . I thought I could float. While it isn't, because the laws of this earth don't work that way. They work in a way that we can recognize and track them. That confuses this youtuber, he looks from a perspective that is blind without knowledge. Allah has activated this world law so that we can function / certain order , system. what scientists can find out with research. they think that Allah does not activate that. It is a part of Allah his system. Just like the weather forecast, it also has certain characteristics that repeat or add to it. So we can gues where things are going to take place. That is what Allah has created so that there is a certain order. And not everything happens with luck and chaos. At the end of the day, Allah is omniscient. He does what he likes. Really. "Context" is a typical Muslim attempt to save the day, but it doesn't work. If you read the Quran, the verses before and after almost all of those verse DO NOT provide any more context as the Quran often contains many random ideas and surrounding verses do not elaborate these particular ones further - please feel free to just give ONE example how how the context will change the meaning of any of these.... Further, if you read the tafsirs, they agree very well with the Quranic interpretation that he gives - are you therefore disagreeing with the best of Islamic scholars? You don't give a single example, but let me give you one. We know that the Quran borrows from local, man-made creation myths, legends and scientific ideas of the time (as the Quran itself mentions - "tales of the ancients"). Take Q21:30 for example which Muslims claim talks about the Big Bang. This was a common myth from Egypt (Ra separated the heaven and Earth) to Iran (Enlil separated them) - Arabia just happens to be in the middle! If you read the Sumerian creation story you'll see it is found in 21:30: “Enlil, lord Nunamnir, the En, his utterance cannot be countered, separated Heaven from Earth, separated Earth from Heaven.” - Krebernik 1998, p. 321, n. 805. This myth and the verse are of course wrong because the Earth did not exist at the time of creation (not for another ~9 billion years) and you cannot separate the Earth from the havens as it is part of the heavens (sky/universe). The classical tafsirs scholars understood the verses exactly as the myth implying that the Earth existed but it did not rain on it until it was separated. Ibn Abbas: We did not send down to it a drop of rain or grow vegetation on the earth which were aligned with each other (then We parted them) al-Jalalayn: the heaven was parted and began to rain, when it did not use to do so Ibn Kathir: .in the beginning they were all one piece, attached to one another and piled up on top of one another, then He separated them from one another, and made the heavens seven and the earth seven, placing the air between the earth and the lowest heaven. Then He caused rain to fall from the sky and vegetation to grow from the earth Sufyan Ath-Thawri: Yes, the heavens were joined together and it did not rain, and the earth was joined together and nothing grew No cosmologist will ever explain the Big Bang in such a way. Muslims today are forced to re-interpret the Quran and the science to make them agree, but if this verse was not in the Quran and I showed it to you, you would have no issue saying that it's a scientifically incorrect ancient myth. The tafsir scholars understood this verse in agreement with the myth. @@cartizas4256

There is a little book by Zakir Naik on Quran and Science, Muslims often ask if I have read it when I start talking science... It's a ridiculous book - it completely disregards what all the tafsir scholars and hadits say about the verses (which Muslims always tell us to read), it never quotes any of the pre-Islamic scientific ideas of the time (which contain some of the info) or any of the pre-Islamic myths (which contain more of the same info), and Naik re-interprets the verses and science (!) to try to make them agree.

@Zack Smith It's an interesting question but why would the christians have a reason to pretend Mecca is actually in Petra? And why christians and not Jews, Zoroastrians, Pagans, Sunnis/shiites? Perhaps the reason there is no Islamic inscriptions in Petra is that these were destroyed or are simply buried under many layers of sand from over the centuries, maybe muslims themselves saw fit to eliminate evidence of Petra being Mecca to avoid conflict or rebellion in their own faith! Or maybe there are Islamic inscriptions in Petra and they just haven't been found yet or have been found and being kept a secret from the public.

⁠​⁠​⁠@@adambrown3351go onto r/exmuslim, there are even some ex muslim sub reddit’s for certain countries, i’ve seen for somalia, saudi arabia so those will be good for any questions or concerns you have culture wise, there’s many people on their that feel the same way you do. my advice would be to continue seeking your own truth but don’t be consumed by it, you don’t have to completely abandon your faith straight away either, you can still believe in a higher being without it being interpreted by a man made book if you want, just live your life, be a good person, morality, fulfilment and happiness is not dependent on a book. also you should work on healing any religious trauma you may have, so many religious people are only religious due to indoctrinated fear of eternal damnation

@@kareemmohamed17 his vid is on the context of scientific perspective. Tahara(even in our Jewish perspective) is leaning towards a context of spiritual purity, so he wasn't wrong to say it's not chemically pure. Again the vid says 'Scientific', interpretations of spiritual in nature can come later

@StormNexus Any Pakistani whether be a Hindu or any sort of non Muslim will and does not get that comfort they expect to find when they migrate to India. I am sorry to tell you this but even lots of Pakistani Hindus who migrated to india are returning back to Pakistan because Indian govt and local people are not trusting them and treating them as outsiders. So even if i want to leave Pakistan India will never be my first choice. Although I like India love Hindu culture and diversity there.

AP, you should take a look at the Alexander Romance. It is a wonderful piece of literature that seems to have influenced Mohammad deeply, as many people believed it to be a historical account of Alexander the Great and includes his journey to the edge of the world where he flew on a stork and touched the sky. It also includes a detailed story about his cook, who gained immortality from eating a magic fish and it was likely the inspiration for al-Khidr in the Quran 18:60-65.

Ap made one mistake here: "There is no place on earth, where fresh and salt water do not mix." False. Also, it isn't Islamic results which come back. It's mostly Christian, and both of them nailed this. The Seas and the oceans DO NOT mix, and there is not only a VISIBLE LINE separating them which cannot be denied, as it is 6 foot deep suds that are dark brown, and like 30 feet wide. You can also see that the 2 waters are different colors. In fact, there are submarine pictures and scuba diving pictures, which prove that this line goes all the way to the bottom.

One thing that you havn't touched yet in regards to lsIam: Arabism is one of the biggest lies in history. "Arab" is not a race, not a nation and not an ethnicity. The "Arab" identity that is widely refered to today is a result of Arabaist-lsIamic conquests and propaganda - it is an lsIamic construct. The same is true for the "Arabic" language which didn't really exist before the advent of lsIam. The term "Arab" originally describe someone who is a nomad of the sand deserts, similar to how the term "Bedouin" is understood - it doesn't denote an ethnic group. Nowdays when the term "Arabs" is used what it really means is "ArabaISTS" = Pan-Arabists, which is tied to the ideology of Pan-Arabism. That is not an ethnicity. As for the so-called "Arabic" language - it's actually a mixture of other languages - Himyaritic, Syriac-Aramaic and Hebrew, with a tiny bit of Greek, Persian, and Ge'ez. This mixture was formed and developed from the Nomadic and Immigrant populations that settled in the Hijaz region prior to the advent of lsIam and from Quranic influences. This mixture is what was eventually put into the "canonical" Quran and was spread via the sword in brutal Arabaist-lsIamic imperiaIism and coIoniaIism to other places. This process involved the destruction of other cultures and replacing it with an Arabaist-lsIamic one. The so-called "Arabic" language is nothing more than a Quranic admixture of other languages. I disagree with any attempt to limit freedom of speech. That being said I feel sad not for the maker of this video who is certainly making his money but for the people who rejoiced at the opportunity to reinforce their preexisting prejudice. At best he showed that some of the 1000 year old books written to explain the Quranic verses are not in sync with today's knowledge (Dah you think ?). Other techniques used to trick people are filtration and alteration of information, omission, misquotation, purposeful misleading translations, etc in a lack of a better expression; he is full of BS. Let me pick the first one as an example. Yes the Quran used the word Lamps or Lanterns (Masabee7) to describe some of the luminous objects in our universe. Guilty as charged? Now you tell me what do you use a lamp or lantern for? if you answered to illuminate your way or to know your position in the dark give yourself a pat on the back. It's a no brainer that stars are used to tell your position here on earth and in the dark skies above. For example known Pulsars signals are used to triangulate position (Check Quran 16:16), actually you can argue that without light (visible or invisible to the naked eye) you can't tell where anything is at. Now let's not pretend that this is the only verse in the Quran about the stars. This clown also didn't tell you about the hundreds of other verses that describe the universe and various celestial objects that cover pulsars, black holes, white dwarfs, etc. here is one to finish with, the quran says in chapter Al Najm (the star). "Wan Najmi Itha hawa" , rough translations "I swear by the star when it falls", certainly most old translations use the world "hawa" in the sense fall. They look up they see stars above and ya they think they will fall. But is that the only meaning for that word? The word "Hawa" also means "disappear". A victim star in close proximity to a black hole or a neutron star can fall into it and even disappear as if it never existed. It can disappear from our visible universe by the fast expansion of the universe (becomes out of reach) and yes there is another verse about the expansion of the universe. It uses the literal word "expand". But I find the world "Hawa" to be much more than that, It also means "emptied". What an expression ! Glory to you Allah the unseen creator of heavens and earth. Indeed the Quran is so heavy the more you learn the more you realize how little you know. What do you think happens to the stars before they die. Folks all what i just said is also mentioned in the Quran. In fact the verse and chapter of "Al Hadeed" ( Iron) correspond to the atomic weight and numbers of Fe. Coincidence! Maybe but when you keep adding up these coincidences you will start looking like a clown if you stay in denial. Kind of a person who denies God's existence and doesn't realize that the mere questioning of His existence is a proof of His existence. Islam is the only religion that encourages if not mandates that you read and learn for a reason, the more you read and learn the more you realize the divinity of the message.

@@Rationality4Life Oh these are rubbish. Most of them are recycled (and have been refuted in the past). But there a few claims I have not come across before, and for good reason. There are just complete misunderstanding on Ridvan's part (E.g. No. 19), or simply bizarre (e.g. No 15 and 16).

Unless you also don't know what the word tahara means... For what it's worth, It means purity in the sense of cleanliness, not whether a substance is unmixed and unadulterated. It actually represents an entire chapter of Islamic jurisprudence. Cleanliness is a very important part of Islam. The Prophet (peace be upon him) even emphasised how important it was by saying that cleanliness was half of faith.

One of my favourite blunders of Muhammad/Allah is on the topic of fasting. Quran 2:187 tells Muslims when to fast. They need to wait "until the white thread of dawn appear to you distinct from its black thread". If you live in northern countries such a Norway, Finland, Iceland, northern Russia or Canada, it doesn't get dark at night and north of the Arctic Circle (half of Norway...) the Sun doesn't set for weeks at times. Seems like Allah didn't know much about basic astronomy and geography and Muslims had to come up with man-made solutions to the problem. The Quran is supposed to be a book for all people and all time, but Muslims can't use it to fast in those countries (and they had to come up with man-made ideas to fix this little issue, that the all-knowing creator of the universe didn't seem to be aware of). If Allah knew that the Earth was spherical, rotating and inclined to the Ecliptic, he could have easily come up with a much simpler rule, like 12h/12h fast. Also, Muhammad didn't know that the Earth was spherical - in a sahih hadiths he says that Allah comes down to the lowest heaven at night, but it's always night somewhere on Earth, so therefore does Allah spend ALL of his time in the lowest heaven?

In 2023, I’m 54 years old and have a master’s degree in biology. I’ve spent some 20 years teaching biology at high school (or middle school) levels to 16 - 17-year-old students. The sex (gender) of the unborn child being determined at the fertilization of the egg (by the X and/or Y chromosomes) is being taught at high school level. So you don’t need to have a degree in biology to know this. When I was 12 years old, I still did not know how babies were formed and how they later came out from their mother’s bodies because I lived in a 3rd world South East Asian country whose official religion is you-know-what. Though I’m not of the majority religion or majority race of the country because my grandparents were immigrants, every student had to study a little about the majority people’s religion. Pardon me for not being very clear because I’m afraid of getting arrested by the authorities though my comments are mild. During one of those classes, the word “semen” was mentioned. As I did not understand that word, I asked my teacher about it. My teacher was a woman who specialised in religious studies. After many decades, I still cannot forget her description of “semen” which she hesitantly gave. 1) Semen is viscous and is mixed with urine. 2) Semen leaves the body through the anus (not urethra). 3) Semen can leave the body of both males and females. 4) When semen leaves the body, it does so randomly and you cannot predict or expect when it will happen. One year later, I studied sex education when I was 13 old and realised that out of the four statements above, none is correct.

Mountains form when tectonic plates crash together, forcing one up. A mountain doesn't have a "base" or root, it's just a loooong sheet of rock, the Earths' crust. Other mountains form when volcanoes grow. Keep in mind that most of the earthquakes around the world happen exactly where mountains form and because they form, so to say that they prevent the Earth from shaking is quite the contrary to what actually happens.

The roots of a mountain are the portions of the mountain that extend below the surface of the Earth. These roots are formed as a result of the tectonic forces that push and lift the Earth's crust, causing the formation of mountain ranges. The roots help support the immense weight of the mountains and are essential to their stability.
