The science of light, from Galileo to quantum physics

Ғылым және технология

11th Rita Levi Montalcini Lecture
Light has fascinated humankind since the dawn of time. Research into its properties has contributed to the birth of modern science and has led to develop the theories of relativity and quantum physics, which have profoundly changed how we see the world on microscopic and cosmic scales. Nobel Laureate Serge Haroche talks about what we know about light today and the ways in which research on this phenomenon has led to unexpected discoveries and applications.
Speaker: Serge Haroche, Premio Nobel per la fisica 2012
Moderator: Dario Menasce, INFN Istituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare
In collaborazione con: Festival di Salute 2023
