The hbox set was intense i fully thought he was gonna throw the chair

Mad respect to Kola who didn't throw his chair during popoff on CEO. That sets was also intense.
I give it a 99% shot MK1 doesn’t come back to CEO next year
CEO was lit, it was cool to see you there and especially at the after parties (ps I know Thomas the tank engine, kid is a troll and a half)
I think now is the perfect time to drop that big, in-depth Panda vid I remember you talking about a few uploads ago. As an outsider (who honestly needs some refreshing on the whole situation tbh), hearing something from someone who knows as much as you do (and maybe bringing in a few other sources) would be so cool and interesting! Food for thought...
I can see Panda trying to get something running with Ultimate or a new Smash game, but not Melee.
Lol that whole history repeats itself thing is real folks.
5:27 funny how 1 random light in the venue was probably worth way more than the event prize pool. Probably a bunch of those lights scattered around too. Fighting games are so broke
Hbox was just stoked to beat JChu. He's one of his bracket demons.

Not saying he's not content pilled though, TK is still right.

There was 40 seconds left and one of the games went to time. Not a huge hbox fanboy but i definitely understand the emotions in this instance. He was drained and jchu played amazing
Here for the vibes 😎
yo TK if you know someone who has done all the rifts/bosses they can invite you and only play the bosses even though you havent unlocked them and it counts for your event if you beat them

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOLD ON BRO GOT TECH????
That chair throw was super cringe
I'll put it this way. I don't care whether Panda comes back or not as long as everyone learned something from the whole debacle that can be used for the benefit of the community. People need to not get a big head about things and communicate. I still feel that the issue was more due to ambition and poor communication than malice, but maybe I'm wrong.
Someone refreshed my memory but what did Doctor Alan do wrong?

GimR ruined his own smash circuit by bad planning. GimR then lied and said it’s Allan’s fault that he can’t get a license. Then the whole smash community believed GimR because they love bandwagon mentality and are generally toxic af. squandering any chance at the scene growing in the near future because of GimRs greed and the communities ignorance.

Allegations came out he was strong arming TOs,had Nintendo destroy the SWT, and tried to wrangle BTS's streaming rights to tournaments. For the first claim....well he had some unfortunate interactions with TOs but its hard when you have to take everything at face value, the 2nd claim is preposterous, and for the 3rd claim it seems much more likely that BTS wanted a situation like this to blow up in Panda's face based on some discord messages that dropped later. Regardless of the truth, by Feb 2023 BTS, Panda, and VGBC were either shut down or reduced to skeleton crews.
The mvs rifts would be okay but its just constantly clicking through menus
Imma be real I think Panda has no chance. Trying to pick up where they left off without Alan and Jaaahsh is gonna be impossible. Also imo Alan’s biggest problem was just communicating with other leaders in the scene so if Panda just had someone else do that in his place I honestly think he’d be fine as a ceo because to my understanding nobody had issues working with him before the fallout

I’m still not entirely clear on what exactly Alan did wrong. I didnt dig too deep but if I remember correctly. Wasn’t he just shady with other smash orgs? And not in a direct way like a I’ve talked to Nintendo and your event may be getting shut down because you all don’t have a license? Something along those lines?

@@justingenie7214the only thing he did wrong imo was not communicate directly with VGBC about SWT. The fact that he talked around it with every TO but GiMR (to my understanding, because I’ve seen no evidence that panda and vgbc ever communicated with eachother) is pretty fucked up if he knew it was in jeopardy.
yeah i agree I wouldnt do anything with smash community theres 0 money to be made

I just wouldn't bother in general. It's in a pretty shitty spot, and people are saying its shitty, but not really acting on it. So long as you're in Europe or JP its pretty alright. NA sucks overall.
Drugs, racism, and politics are inevitable in America there’s no avoiding it no matter what state you can go to
Hard disagree on "spittin (facts)" about Panda. There are a lot more nuances to the situation, but it sounds like IDEALLY the smash community should bury all the issues that were made public about Panda and that's just kinda ...i don't know what else to say other than massively pro-business and ignoring the product that Panda was presenting. (And was Panda separate from PGstats at the time that people were trying to submit an invoice for pay?? Idk obvi) There were definitely bad implications to Panda having that much power, and to suggest that succumbing to their will would be a net-benefit is dubious. There's a world where I can see that perspective, but its far from an objective fact as opposed to one possibility out of several. That said, lowkey i feel like controllers in the community are such an issue that they could just build rep just by making a solid controller lol

The spitting facts was not about panda. You might need to go back and watch that part again. I was referencing a Rod tweet about being Talent and how you can do a lot for this community and still have people talk to you crazy. As far as panda I said myself there is a lot of blame to go around on multiple parties but I think even if you took the circuit away panda still did provide quite a bit to the scene before any Nintendo involvement. regardless I still think they should look into other ventures if they return that aren’t smash related

@TKbreezy I think the biggest problem in the Smash community is actually part of this mentality. You can make contributions to the community or TO for a long time and then just basically immunize yourself and the crappy decisions you make based on...community clout? Not implying this is you cause it's not but that that line of thinking is outrageous, that any amount of beneficial things you do for the community should in same way soften like for instance, if you were to straight up dox somebody. There are so many strange power dynamics in the smash community and none of it seems healthy.
