You hit it on the head. Man Utd used to have a "never say die" attitude that made them almost irresistable to support. It was also why the legend around Fergie Time appeared. Man Utd would play 120% right up to the final whistle.

@@Rip889 A "European Glazer" would know better than to mess with a club like United. They would have been raised in a culture where they understood what these teams mean to the communities and countries that they're based in. A "European Glazer" would know that they're entitled to run the club like a business and even make a profit from it but that profit comes in the form of an exit strategy, after you've delivered success. They would know that United aren't the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and you don't get to just take money out every year without delivering on success. That breaks the social contract between owner and fan.
The general idea I think is Man United right now is chaos on every level, but back then it was organized.
Verón was not a flop! Verón was a great player. It wasn't as successful as people dreamed it would be, but he was still a very good player. Problems were that Utd changed their system to try fitting Keane, Scholes, and Verón in all together and that didn't quite work out as hoped. Another difficulty was that Verón's English wasn't good enough. He was a vocal player and leader in Italy and Argentina. Keane always points out "characters in the dressing room." That part of Verón's game was stifled at Utd because of the language barrier, plus Keane was already the vocal player in midfield. Verón still played very well. The team just wasn't as successful as they could've been, or as they had been in the 3 seasons prior.

It's just like what's happening in movies, music etc. When the people in the industry (managers) are replaced with execs who could be in any industry standards will drop.
To be fair, ten Hag has also had the best start for a United manager despite all this chaos... he needs a proper structure above him and hopefully INEOS will not be daft and sack him without giving him a proper go at it.

I agree but has also conceded more than any other manager within these few years. Probably, in the entire history of the club. Ten Hag is trying so hard to put a square object in a round hole 🕳️. The one that he's doing wrong is trying to play a champagne football with the kinda players and injuries he has. He's failing as a manager to recognise this as a problem.

Mate! You had me at the "95 Million on fidget spinner" 😂😂😂😂😂😂
As a Man Utd fan our problems go beyond the Manger, it’s the board and the owners that have affected what player we buy. It’s no wonder why all those mangers failed they weren’t give the tools to succeed because there more to it than how much money you spend like the recruitment department being poor leading to bad signings and no director of football to help the manger. So I’m ETH IN because he needs help from a proper board to clear out the dead wood and bring in the best and hopefully sir Jim can give him that
@xCestLaVie1

But ETH caused most of his problems. He had a decent squad, spent millions to replace players who didn't need to be replaced. He bullied veterans of United like De Gea and CR7... Then spent MORE money to replace them. He keeps whining that he doesn't have the players he wanted. It is just insane to stick with him.
Fergie was good at instilling an underdog mentality in his teams, which is why he frequently had to replace superstars - often with people who would become superstars themselves. Its a bit rich to attempt to tap into that spirit when the trophies start coming in and egos inflate. Current Utd thinks like a big club, it is on the perch previously occupied by Liverpool.

As a Manchester United Fan, it is painful how backwards my club is going day by day, whereas our rivals City is progressing forward. If you ask me what is the issue with the club, I must say everything. It all starts from the top. The top management should have that winning desire. We all know that the Glazers only use this club as a money making machine. They were happy as long as we made it to UCL. I am hoping INEOS will bring new ideas to the club.

Honestly ownership is a factor but i think a manager is most important for changing things. like look at psg after qatari takeover. They have not won the champions league yet. They dont have that mentality at the moment, and i think that is because of bad management. What man united needs now is a jurgen klopp.
United were having people in charge who were not only self aware of the state of English and European football to forsee and adapt to subtle changes, but were also creative and imaginative about tactics, training methods, and player management. Over the last decade, everything has been so "reactionary" to what others were doing and it led to over a billion wasted with no major trophy (no premier league, no champions league). I don't think INEOS can reverse it unless there is gradual and merciless replacement of the existing squad, with meritocracy and respect of the club as the core values needed.
'Nobody is noticing' - I called it before a single ball was kicked this season and have said it since Rashfords purple patch ended late last season.
You missed something. Yes, Man Unt hardly developed after Ferguson retired And many of the opposition received good investments. I don't rmember how competitive The Premier Leauge many years ago I remember there wasn't any hype on Chelsea before Abrahamovic and Man City I belieev wasn't in the first league. Now we have so many contenters for the top 5 in the league.
SAF would never disrespect his players he was a true professional
I still remember when I first started watching the Premier League Manchester United and Arsenal were the English rivalry. No other rivalry mattered to me, it was United v Arsenal. Then, Arsenal fell off for a while and the rivalry kind of died. Then, now Arsenal is flying through the ranks and becoming dominant, Manchester United is terrible. I wonder if that rivalry will ever come back.

It's a funny thing isn't it personally I think Uniteds problems run alot deeper than Arsenals did a few years ago anyway all the best
Your right I think they need to keep with the boss for 4-5 years.
At times I feel bad for Manchester United’s downfall. Under Sir Alex Ferguson with footballing legends they were dominating the premier league year in year out and not only did they have phenomenal players, they had leaders and players who would fight for the badge and do everything in their power to win. Now they’re a laughingstock and ever since Sir Alex Ferguson retired, they’ve become a squad full of mercenaries who get signed underperform yet get paid a lot of money no matter how they play. From fallouts with players, consistent managerial changes, poor recruitment, having one good season, yet come back down to earth, they seem to have many problems that cannot be resolved. Every big signing bar Bruno Fernandes has flopped at Manchester United, but none of them come worse to Antony. How do you pay 100 million for a winger only for him to go 12 months without a premier league goal. The guy is nothing more than a fidget spinner meaning that every time he has the ball, bro is spinning in circles more than he’s actually trying to dribble a player. What about paying 80 million for a 30 year old, only they can do that. Other signings like Harry Maguire Romelu Lukaku Paul Pogba Memphis Depay Jadon Sancho etc, have all flopped. They can make a world class player look very average. For example, Alexis Sanchez during his time at Arsenal was one of the best players in the premier league, yet was a shadow of his former self at Manchester United. Someone like Wayne Rooney was excellent when he was at Everton and he became one of the best players on Manchester United’s history. More of the same from Cristiano Ronaldo not much to be said about him and from that you now have a 100 million spinner who has gone over a year without scoring in the premier league. It’s nothing more than a graveyard for players and every top player they sign, seems to flop. What ends up happening is that they try to get rid of them, but they can’t do they because their wages are simply too high. They’ve overpaid for these players in terms of wages and transfer fee and this is a mistake that they can continue to make over and over again and that’s part of their problems. It’s obvious to me that Manchester United needs a serious overhaul of the squad because that’s not a football club at all it’s a mess that cannot be resolved.

Love the video, the research that must’ve gone into this, excellent
Idk if I can accept the Antony criticism completely. Yes we spent too much on him, yes he tries to do too much on the ball but when he comes on in games he does make a difference. I don't understand why someone like Mudryk doesn't get the same level of criticism. Manchester United is constantly sold players at an inflated price and we make terrible signings. Couple this with the fact that the club doesn't have a nailed on identity or style of play and the club will just continue to get worse unfortunately and I see us struggling for at least another 3 years 😕
Got it right in the first 25 seconds, "warriors" none of these players have any fight in them, don’t understand what it means to play for UTD. All they care about is getting paid each week.
Man Utd is respected club and times when they fall too early in UEFA Champions League it feels weird watch Those games whitout Man Utd and that is not even my favourite club but I think they belong in Champions club 🙂👍

Mate check your facts ole went on record to say he had planned out the season without ronaldo but oles plan was thrown on its head cause the club couldn't see ronnie go man city so he had to change his plan. Now when the players have been training on the new plan and got used to it, then they are forced to change it cause ronnie signed and the plan had to change its bound to mess up. But ole stated that at the started of 2021 summer transfer window, pre season and the start of that season ole hadnt planned for ronnies return. Thus for ole didn't want him at united
If you wanted United's culture back, Ten Hag completely screwed up from day 1 trying to bully Ronaldo. The rules he implemented, like no private chefs, no super cars, etc. were to target Ronaldo. Ronaldo left and they spent like 70 mil for Hojlund, now they're looking for a striker that has a veteran presence. Just TERRIBLE man management. Majority of Ten Hag's signings are injury prone, costly, and they were mediocre replacements for positions that were already filled.

The philosophy is gone. Alex Ferguson once said that nobody is bigger than the club. He didn't tolerate ego's. Now? It seems the opposite.
Thanks for pointing out that sacking another manager will not fix United's problems. For me more than half this team needs to be sold. If Ten Hag was brought in as a long term manager to rebuild the team then the owners have to give him the time to do that, and do it with players who want to play for United, not just collect a fat paycheck. People forget that Fergie struggled in he's first few season at United, to a point where he was almost sacked the season before winning our first premiere league title. It's time the players started facing the consequences of their poor performances and stop blaming the manager.
