One of the reasons why Jude Bellingham is having such a great season at Real Madrid, nobody really discusses this about Carlo Ancelotti’s ability as a manager. People think that he wins so much because it’s easy for him to work alongside superstars. His ability to develop players that’s played a massive role in Bellingham’s form this season. What Ancelotti saw in him, other managers didn’t see it in him as they saw him as a box to box midfielder who can influence the game from deep. What this guy saw in him was a player who can drive with the ball and has an eye for goals and he deployed him as an attacking midfielder changing the system completely to accommodate him in the team without a proper striker. He’s been scoring so many goals and he has become a more versatile and flexible player as he can play as a CM CAM CM CF LM and this is something that doesn’t happen without Ancelotti and it tells you how good of a manager he is that great players can become better under him. Explains why players have the most prolific stints of their careers under him you see attacking players boost their numbers and he’s done the same thing with Jude Bellingham. Despite being 20 years old, as a midfielder he is the complete package. He can score goals, he has a trait of being in the right place at the right tike making runs from the midfield to the box basically the ability of a poacher while also being a well rounded midfielder. On the ball he’s very technical one of the best dribblers in the world with a very unique skillset combined with his work rate and defensive skills. This was on display at Borussia Dortmund and I feel like because of the goals, this part of his game at Real Madrid is sometimes not discussed enough. He is seen as the next Zidane and there’s a feeling that he could surpass his legacy in the future and it’s too early to say, but his potential is frightening and it’s possible since he’s also a more complete player than him given how football has evolved over the years. He can be one of the best midfielders of all time and is already one of the best players in the world. He is world class and the craziest thing about him is that he’s not even at his potential yet with what he’s produced in his debut season at Real Madrid, can you imagine how good he’ll be in his prime. The sky is the limit for him and barring any injuries, I don’t know what can slow him down.

Jude Bellingham is blossoming into a superstar in football as he went from a promising player at Birmingham City to having a brilliant debut season at Real Madrid. His talent was well documented even before he went to Real Madrid. When he was at Birmingham City, the club retiring his jersey was a sign that he had potential greatness. He could’ve went to Manchester United that summer, but for his development joining Borussia Dortmund a club known for nurturing young talent was the right move for him. He turned into an elite midfielder at just the age of 19 he was killing it in the Bundesliga established himself as a regular for the England national team and his final season at the club he single handedly almost won Borussia Dortmund the Bundesliga title. One wonders what would’ve happened had he been fit for the game against Mainz. He was so good that Real Madrid was after him all summer and a lot of premier league clubs want him and in that year he won the Golden Boy Kopa Trophy and Bundesliga Player of the Year. He was linked with the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City and instead of moving to the premier league, he was only interested in Real Madrid. Initially there were doubts on how he would fit in their team and some questioned if he would even be a starter because they have some of the best midfielders in the world and you also wondered if he could handle the pressure of a demanding club with the money that they paid for him. In terms of his stats he’s exceeded expectations He has 20 goals and 9 assists in all competitions, he even scored 14 goals in his first 15 games for Real Madrid which is a feat that not even the great Cristiano Ronaldo managed to achieve, he has the most goals in La Liga and has been involved in a G/A in every champions league game. That’s insane for a midfielder as a 20 year old in his debut season at Real Madrid. He’s never been weighed down by the transfer fee and it tells you how good he is when a team can pay over 100 million for you yet nobody talks about your price tag. Too many times, teams are paying 100 million for players who don’t necessarily fit their system and he’s been the opposite of that. He makes someone like Eden Hazard look foolish because when Real Madrid paid a lot of money for him, he was seen as one of the best players in the world and he flopped so badly and barely even played, meanwhile at the age of 20, Bellingham cost 100 million and never needed any time to adapt. By every metric, he’s still a midfielder, he’s just playing further forward and has a free role in that number 10 position without a proper striker. At times, Real Madrid hasn’t always been at their best and when they haven’t been playing well, he’s the one who was putting up with big goals time and time again. There were narratives that he was a “tap in merchant striker hot streak will end eventually” etc, but he continues to deliver and he is still a midfielder by every metric. He’s still being a difference maker in games even when he’s not scoring and he failing to score doesn’t mean he had a bad game when his influence on the game matters. I’m interested to see what his role at Real Madrid is gonna look like when Kylian Mbappe arrives next season. He is also one of the contenders to win the 2024 Ballon Dor and assuming Real Madrid wins the Champions League or England win the EUROs, I see Bellingham winning this award and if that happens, at his age he’ll join a list of Real Madrid legends they’ve won this award.

It’d be great if he wins. Personally it’ll be 50/50 between Bellingham and Mbappe if Real Madrid wins the champions league and if France wins the EUROs. I’m still leaning towards Bellingham for the Ballon Dor even though they play against Manchester City because Real Madrid is more likely to win the Champions League than PSG and on the other hand France are more likely to win the EUROs than England.

If Jude does what he is doing now for next ten-fifteen years then you can. Ridiculous, to do it in his first year at a the top level. Lots of players have been there for a year or two. Then they just don’t sustain it.

@elizabethcsicsery-ronay1633 I know what you mean, especially with Haaland. He's tall, fast, decent a striker of course, but not in the conversation about all-time greats at all because he isn't that good. I like Mbappé but feel he's become too big an ego. His attitude regarding strategy for contract negotiations is an unbelievably poor example for kids who idolise the stars of the game! Mbappé does have extraordinary ability though, especially when he's got any space to run with the ball. But he will have to mature a bit if he's going to join the all-time greats. Bellingham is a special player. Also the strength of character he's showing, joining Real Madrid at 20 and initially scoring at a rate of a goal per game... phenomenal. Ok, that rate has reduced to 0.75 goals per game, but that's still brilliant! He keeps getting compared to Zidane because of his role and type of player. I think Zidane had something unique, but Bellingham is of a similar standard, and actually has a higher end product. England should have a strong decade ahead of them with Bellingham, Foden, Saka, Mainoo. Any England manager who fails to win anything with this new golden generation, should erase himself from the history books

In my opinion, valverde is better as a box to box midfielder. He has almost unlimited stamina, covers so much of the field, does a lot of defensive work while also helping out in the attack. He's like N'golo kante with better shooting and passing (not sure about this one). While Bellingham is better overall. He can play as a number 10, 8 or sometimes close to something of a defensive midfielder. He too has immense stamina covering much of the field the entire match. His dribbling and attacking prowess is also very good as we can see from this current season. So to conclude, both very good players in their respective roles but I think Bellingham is better overall.

Bellingham has far more talent than Beckham. Beckham was a good player but not world class. Which year was it that he won the ballon d’or? Wait that’s right,,, he didn’t…., Beckham could hit a dead ball had great long range passing and could cross. He wasn’t particularly fast, wasn’t a great dribbler, couldn’t tackle but had great hair and was extremely marketable. Beckham was a brand.

You and many other football fans probably didn't even know of Kaka, Zidane and Toure when they were 20. They all know Jude. Vini was no where close to being this important to Madrid during his 1st season. Vini is a few years older and been at Madrid for 5 or 6 seasons i think. Also I have no idea how you can say he isn't mobile. He is all over the pitch pretty much every game. Makes runs forward and he tracks back to defend. While i do agree he might be a bit overrated, he seems to have incredible potential.
