The SCARY Truth About Cole Palmer Nobody is Noticing

Спорт

Cole Palmer is one of the best players in the Premier League. There are scary parallels between him and Kevin De Bruyne, and I think he could be Man City's biggest regret like KDB is for Chelsea. But can he reach Kevin De Bruyne's level and become world class?

I remember how furious I was when KDB was sold by Chelsea. Never really gotten over it. I actually believe that Cole, although a different type of player than KDB, can and will be as impactful for Chelsea as KDB has been for city. Normally I wouldn’t put that kind of pressure on such a young player, but the boy is sooo cold I don’t think it would matter.

Palmer and Enzo are the face of the up and coming Chelsea force , almost all the rest of the squad have massive potential as well as the likes of Gusto , Disasi , Caicedo , Lavia , Mudryk , Jackson , Madueke and the list goes on..these are literally inexperienced KIDS sitting 10th in the world's toughest league, which means 1 thing , beware of what Chelsea will become in the next few years , maybe decade.

I wouldn’t be worried about being that aware as the club as so badly ran that those players will head off elsewhere or have to be sold due to poor financial planning. Also Mudryk is hardly a prodigy, has played 37 games and only has 7 goals. In the whole of last season he only had one. Chelsea fans keep claiming he’s dripping with talent but he cost almost as much as Anthony and has been almost as useless.

Gallagher, Nkunku and Chukwuemeka seem to be very compatible with his playstyle in different ways, Gallagher's off the ball movement, smart pressing, linkup play, positioning and finishing he can make space, be part or the end of his creativity. Something porch is trying to shutdown by letting Gallagher try to get on the ball rather than letting the ball find him, Nkunku's linkup play, holdup play, positioning and finishing means a dependable partner for him to play with and Chukwuemeka's to well balanced and risk taking nature means consistent goal threats and constant chance creation and with batter coaching we have three deadly combination with 3 ways to use them

Time is just what this team needs. Time with each other and time with Poch. Klopp's gegen-pressing didn't set in instantly nor did Pep's tiki taka. No manager will do any better with this team. It's just the growing pains of a young squad. Tactics may not be visible in every game, no consistency, chemistry and cohesion missing etc. We forget that even the best of players need to be settled not only on the field but off it too. New players, new environments and new surroundings. A new culture and homestead, add to the mix that the majority are youngsters too makes it difficult to adapt immediately. Sure, people will always point to the amount spent and mention that it should be relative to the success but this is a unique scenario. Boehly and co. not only invested in the first team but largely the potential second team which are either out on loan youngsters (Datro Fofana, Gabriel, Santos, Washington, Hutchinson etc.) or backups (Cucurella, Petrovic, Lavia, Ugochukwu, Chukwuemeka etc.). They tried to condense five years worth of work, scouting and development into a short space of time. Every time we sack a manager the whole process resets, this is essentially our first year under Poch, including different players once again. Projects like these need time to breathe. Sadly us football fans are impatient. Klopp, Pep and Arteta all had mediocre first seasons in charge with a somewhat more stable group of players and backroom operations than what we have had for the past couple of years. We probably have the most experienced and emotionally adept coach to deal with this core. No other manager will have the patience to handle this group as well as Poch has, period. Most coaches would constantly complain about the inexperience, scrap the project, start again with new players and thus the cycle continues yet Poch is dealing with it well enough. He understands that it's a process. Forget comparing him to his Spurs days, we're a basket case of a club at the moment where even the most tactically astute would suffer. The team speak highly of his man management. For a squad of this size, it's commendable that he's held the team together as well as maintain morale throughout. No other coach would deal with a young group and still give the likes of Golding, Gilchrist, Matos and Castledine a chance. Added to his push to build an English core of James, Chilwell, Colwill, Palmer and he's constant appreciation of Gallagher, he is probably the one person at the club who is striving to maintain Chelsea's recent traditions. Give this team and coach three years, same spine of players, no major overhauls then we can truly assess what we have.

This is why I don’t mock Chelsea I’m actually scared for the future there squad has huge potential, people really think they will be mediocre for over a decade or longer but I actually think in a couple of yrs they will be back on top. People need to understand this project has never been attempted in the history of football making a entire squad of young talents take time but they are guaranteed some world class or elite players from the investment they have made

Think the project is still a bit of a mess as it feels it's been rushed (ie. selling and buying a whole new squad in 2 seasons essentially), but if we have some stability now and allow these players to develop relationships, I think we could see a really solid side

Kdb is not the best midfielder in premier league history, that’s an absolute disrespect. Not even in the same world as Viera, Fabregas, Yaya Toure in terms of his technical attributes and cannot hold a candle to Lampard for output despite playing in a team owned by a nation state with practically 0 competition for 10 years. Behave.

I am Chelsea fan and I think KDB is best midfielder in PL history. He is better than Gerrard, Fabregas and Toure for sure. And arguably better than Lampard, Scholes, Berghamp and Giggs as well. Bro has 5 premier league titles, and was the most important player in every season. And his stats are not worse than those names. Clearly, KDB is the best in PL history, or may be top 3 definitely

We should not be nostalgia merchants and just enjoy KDB while he is not retired. No one comes close. I would love to say Lampard, for being in the list of top premier league scorers being a midfielder as Chelsea fan, but I would like to be honest, KDB is class

No, bar maybe shooting favregas clears. As for Yaya it isn’t even close, even as a CAM as a teenager or as a striker for Spain Fabregas was leagues ahead of KDB.
