The Scariest Knockout Machine is Smoking UFC - Alex Pereira
Спорт
Alex Pereira dominated kickboxing, starched Adesanya, conquered two divisions in Glory and became the promotion’s pound-for-pound king. Recently he has burst onto the UFC scene and made it all the way to a title shot in a blink of an eye. Today we recall Pereira's career in a striking world, as the Brazilian prepares for a crack at the premiere championship belt in MMA.

His ability to take a loss and bounce back is just impressive to me. Edit; a little over a year later now and he is my favorite fighter in the UFC, a very active fighter, shows dedication and constantly improves specially the wrestling from Michailidis to now he has really improved his ground game. Learned about his connection with the indigenous tribe, The Pataxo tribe and it is so wholesome to see him being proud of who he is. He was still an alcoholic until that Izzy fight which forced him to quit and actually better himself for his career and his family. He is very close to Glover Texeira with whom he has a very special bond something that Alex hasn't gotten the chance to since his brother died years ago I believe caused by gang violence in the favelas which is another factor as to why he joined combat sports to stay away from that life. The guy's life is a movie and is now two divisional champion in the UFC and Glory. God bless him ❤.

Pereira would probably be a very good craftsman who has an extremely good sense of proportion. He can assess where the opponent is moving and strike there. Many fighter make the mistake of aiming where the opponent is when they throw the punch. Until the hand or foot is there, the opponent has moved and you dont hit properly. Pereira is like a laser.

That warrior DNA from the Amazon rainforests.
23:15 he throws that left almost as if its going to be a weak throw away punch, the kind fighters throw just to keep their opponent busy as they reposition. But in Pereira's case, its an absolute killer of a left. The danger being that there is no crazy windup, no need to have feet firmly planted on the ground, he throws it while advancing, he throws it while backing up, regardless of position or stance, its a fight ending punch. Crazy fighter.

You can see how he's evolved as a fighter and avenged all his early losses. He spent a lot of time in kickboxing and came to mma late in his career. But then again, that path prepared him for mma and so far has payed off with a fast rise to ufc Gold. Great summary of his career well done 👏👍
I used to watch highlights of Mike Tyson knockouts, now I watch Alex Pierra. He has the touch of death. These are seasoned fighters he's taking to the Shadow Realm. these aren't huge telegraphed haymakers, these are normal punches.

Congratulations on the video. It was great to present the story of the fighter since he started in the martial arts until his last fight in the UFC. It was interesting to see the development of Alex Pereira, who started kickboxing at the age of 21 and in a short time became Glória's two-time champion.
