I had a great hour long facetime call with Ido/ the Salukie a week ago. He is ok but charged. He revealed more private feelings of disgust at the whole situation/violence/disorder. He is also someone who experienced child abuse. He is probably manic/depressive but he is also brilliant. But brilliance can be interrupted by mental illness. He has some sort of PTSD and hyper manic/depressive issues. But, labeling him will not help him. He identifies with the Palestinians/ Muslims/ Arabs and the Israelis/ Jews and loves/ hates both. I won't go deeper than that and reveal anything private but I will say that he is above all… a sweet, passionate narcissist whose crazy symptoms could be helped with a peaceful environment and lots of love…like all humans.❤ to the Salukie. Forgiveness.

The Farhud happened in 1941, the persecution happened through the 1950s, The population in Iraq in 1948 was 150,000, as of 2021 there was 4 Jews. In the early 1950s if they went to Israel, they lost their Iraqi citizenship. By 1952, Jews were forbidden from emigrating and 2 Jews were publicly hung.

PLEASE READ Avi Shlaim's new book-memoir on this Three Worlds: Memoirs of an Arab-Jew. He is an Israeli Iraqi Jew but he goes over this history and you guys in Israel have been lied to. Bombing the synagogues was a Mossad operation to get Iraqi Jews to move to Israel. I myself do not understand why the Arab Jews (Mizrahim) are such Likudniks when Ashkenazi Israeli society actively discriminates against you. Why do you join in vilifying and demonizing the Palestinians who would seem to be your natural allies?

No it doesn’t work that way. Israel pushing Arabs out during the formation of the state and getting financial support from the U.S. disturbed the other Arab nations since the 1950s. Arabs had the good sense to be concerned about the Western implantation of Israel in their neighborhood.

And to the right of them. And the same as to their mother and father was. Their brothers, sisters, cousins, girlifriends, boyfriends, etc etc. ALL those people are "Normal citizens" who make up the fabric of the country. Settler mobs are ransacking Palestinian homes and villages, on both sides of the Green Line, whether in Huwara, or Ramle, or any of dozens of other places, and IDF and police stand idly by or even assist them. A known fanatic and accused terrorist holds a cabinet position in charge of security. None of this is normal.

Hey Tal, I feel like since Ido did that interview with Amir Hetzroni something went very, very wrong. I think Amir Hetzroni gave him some very very bad ideas. I'm really sad to see him struggling so badly with his mental health, saying there's nothing wrong, and reacting with venom to all the kind people who reach out to him because they're worried about him. I feel like he's possibly struggling with PTSD from the whole situation in Israel and also from the shock of the loss of his friend Pink who was kidnapped from the Nova festival and murdered by Hamas. Survivor's guilt can do horrible things to one's mind: he nearly went to Nova with her. It could have been him, murdered or kidnapped. The new Salukie is getting so much hate from antisemites too, and it feels like he's hating on himself so bad. I unsubscribed from his channel because it was too painful and difficult to watch him not only spew so much hatred, but to watch the mental health crisis of a previously wonderful person unfolding, but feeling completely powerless to help. Thank you for reaching out to him with love. You're a good guy, Tal. ❤️❤️❤️

Tal, you are an amazing speaker and get your point across very clearly. Have you considered maybe opening a channel or to alternate videos in this channel where you just commentate on things even without walking around? NFKRZ style if you know him.... Like on the computer talking, showing video clips and articles and discussing your thoughts. About this video, it is nice to hear from someone who kinda knew him that it sounds like the person we saw on his videos the last 3 years was real and not an act as the videos from the last month made me feel duped. Like this inspirational guy, super sensitive and awkward at times yet charismatic and friendly and peacefull, people opened up to him easily and apart from him making amazing videos, part of it was him, and then to see the last month I felt like an idiot for believing that was a real person and have been wondering if it was an act or just a mania. The guy now talks about being a gangsta, was in the yakuza, etc.. etc... Talks about women as if they are conquests, is suddenly an expert on everything..... For 3 years you never even knew what his political views were. This considerate person who I really hoped to see succeed more suddenly seemed to become an inconsiderate narcissist. Not meaning to have a go at him, as I said, I and I think many others don't know if to feel duped or concerned for him and from what you say, it seems that he was the real deal and simply is going through some mental issue. Ido, if you see this, I know in your current frame of mind you will take everything as an attack, but people felt connected to you and what you represented. Your decision what you want people to support you for, and that has changed lately big time.

The cycle of this type of illness will repeat every so often and family friends and medical staff will have an action and treatment plan, the sooner it is implemented the better. It can be very dangerous for a person during an episode as their reality is so distorted and they honestly can not seperate reality from delusions/hallucinations and those hallucinations can be any sensory experience - smell, hear, see, taste, touch. Finally someone called him out, as an Israeli i was a big fan of The Slukie(Ido) i actually started watching him before i discovered your channel. I really liked that he does some crazy stuff like going to the hearth of the West Bank as a jew. But lately i saw his metal fitness degrade, him saying that the Israeli Authority are keeping him in a mental hospital in order to silence him is a total bs.

On dear Saluki, i started to follow him a while back as i hoped that he would bring the two groups together and for each side to try to understand each other. I saw in him an innocent soul who genuinely cares about the human condition. When he said he was from Iraq i immediately thought of you, Tal. He is your brother, maybe from a different mother 😅, but he is your brother. i am glad you care enough to speak up about him. You might see some of my positive comments i posted on his channel....but i did stop watching him in the last couple of months. It broke my heart to see his mental health deteriorating, as he is a very delicate soul and all of it was clearly taking a toll on his mind. He reminds me of the painter, Vincent Van Gogh, a genius and a creative artist, but also tormented within his soul, searching for answers for humanity. i remember when he first started to go into the Palestinian areas, and a group of Palestinian men called him over and then started to bully him for his watch. It made me angry because here he was, working to help these folks, but all they wanted to do was exploit him. He probably does not know that he is carrying all this trauma from Oct 7th onwards. It is not something that goes away especially with this long drawn out war, and the constant images of death and destruction, or the posters of the missing hostages it takes a toll. It is a heavy burden to carry. I feel sorry for all of you. He did mention that he was picked up once by the police as there were concerns for his well-being. I assumed it must have been his family that were concerned for him. He kept repeating himself, saying that he was "perfectly fine", but that the doctor wanted to continue to detain him. Sadly all too often, when someone says they are perfectly fine, you know that they are not. I realized that there was really nothing I can do from my side for him, so i said i would say a prayer for him, and I really did. I did not unsubscribe from his channel as I hope for better days for him.

Perhaps that is true, but to be fair there has been an ongoing mimtiary occupation, wars, and violence towards them for the better part of a century. Not saying therr isn't violence towards Israelis and Israel, however if we are to analyze the situation politically and sociologically, the state of Israel holds the power and is abusing it, so I understand if there is less tolerance is a less stable region made that way directly because of Israel. I don't condone racism or tribalism. It's bad, but we gotta understand the causes.

The care you put into supporting a cousin like this… is truly beautiful. As an Israeli I know what this Pstd kind of break down comes from, and it’s so painful to have to watch. He will come through. I'm really glad to see someone doing this video. I know I am just a "subscriber" of the Saluki but I too feel a "love" for him. Seeing him fall apart has actually been incredibly saddening. And he's not alone sadly, other Israelis KZreadrs also seem to be struggling with their mental health. I feel as if many have long had underlying "broken" attachments and the events of 710 and beyond has been an intensely traumatic experience for so many, often triggering deep underlying issues such as bipolar/schizophrenia etc for some. I'm by no means saying that everyone is experiencing these issues, but I think the collective pain of the nation has somewhat been under estimated. I honestly just wish I could just give each and everyone one of you a huge hug, have a hot chocolate and chat. I also really hope that for those who are struggling with mental health that help is able to be obtained. We have to all pull together and stay strong. Anyway, really fantastic video. Glad you've had the courage to raise the disembowelment as well, that's what many in the west simply can't comprehend. And that's all through the education system in many Islamic nations, often linked into a prophet who ripped out a liver and ate it. There's simply no moral equivalency between Islam and Judaism, between Hamas and the IDF. This is what the west is blind to and is a huge moral failure. Anyway glad you're speaking up and really hope "the Saluki" can get appropriate help. I wouldn't rule out an appropriate mental health hospital for a few weeks either. And this isn't out of spite or as some big conspiracy by the Israeli "deep state" as some have tried to portray. Sometimes we "break" as humans, sometimes we actually need to have appropriate help. Only then can we actually have healing take place. And for all Israelis, I hope everyone can be on guard and realise the magnitude of what's gone on. These are some of our most challenging days in our history of existence, we have to stay strong. Stay safe :-)

I am SO GLAD that you are noticing the same thing re: "the Salukie!!!" I, personally, DO think that he is having some sort of mental break right now. His doctor dealt with it somewhat a while back. ButnI am guessing that since then, things in Israel have changed A LOT, and they are probably paying less attention to him right now. BUT, he still does need some attention! I don't think he is 100% and just feel, as a Mom no less, that he needs a wellness check! Just as I am glad to see YOU back here, out and about!! For some reason, the Algo was not populating your content, since Oct. (Shocker, right??!!), so I honestly forgot about you! (And am very sorry to say that!!) And I am so happy to see you fit and well both physically and mentally! As much as one can see in this here and now. DO realise that the Salukie HAS been suggested by the Algo! But you have not. I didn't see his content about Israel and the war, but think your content on these topics can be so important and I look forward to watch it. As a left leaning Israeli, I see so much terrible content about the war from both sides, some that is borderline blood libels, and it's extremely frustrating. I think a nuanced perspective is very important and needed.

Do they give a fig for ours? . Where they see resistance, I see blood lust and absolute evil. And it is directed at me, my parents, my grandparents, our whole nation. Just because we exist. I think anyone who sees absolute evil as resistance is sick in the head. Resistance is what I do when I know what they did in Ramallah or on October 7 in the face of 2000 years of this hell, and yet manage to stay alive, and even smile at strangers and acquaintances.

They burned down 500 villages, forced 750,000 out of their homes, raped women, genocided 15,000 Palestinians while they tried to return to their homes, and then they stole the remaining good homes for themselves. Palestinians still walk by their stolen houses. You are a beneficiary of the 1948 genocide they commited. You got land while the Palestinians are being ethnically cleansed for 75 years.

Saluki was a breath of fresh air.. strong and brave to show what most are to scared to even speak about.. i have watched him change. for better or worse is at the eye of the beholder.. i agree he needs help.. that is if he wants to b the man of reason like before.. he gets upset when ppl who do care for him speak out. he speaks of things we all know are not true.. mayb for clicks n views, maybe because he truly believes it in his head.. we need more Salukis in this world.. to lose one is to lose many.. he will not listen to us when we reach out.. i pray he listens to yall.. this is the first video i have seen of urs.. so i have subscribed and look forward to watching more of ur videos.. which i hope that you and others have made contact with him and pray he gets the help that he needs.. he is a proud young man.. it is not shameful to ask for help nor to need it..i feel drugs may b a big contributer to his recent misfortunes.. especially in italy.. i pray to the Creater every nite for Saluki to find his pathway once again. plz help him.. Jews in Israel have shown me the meaning of togetherness a way i didnt know existed.. mossad to protect jews around the world is very respectable..there ways, not so much.. but he is ur brother.. he is my brother.. plz help our brother .. shalom alhamdulillah Mvto Peace be with you

My professors, doctors, colleagues, and neighbors are Jewish and they are very kind & professional. The problem I feel is that we should have no Naqba. In Palestine, Jews, Muslims, and Christians live together and should follow the same laws as in America. Since Islam dominated this region, all three religions coexist peacefully. The whole world watched the merciless bombardment, destruction & chaos in Gaza is equated to the Holocaust of the Jews in the past. I still believe a one-state solution under the same laws for all is the key. God Almighty bless you & all in this region. Ameen!
