I had to find new, less physical hobbies since I was diagnosed with cancer last year. Between this channel and Kevin's channel my choice was easy. So much fun! Bought my first "real" RC last week. I picked up a Traxxas Slash VXL 4x4. I have already done some upgrades and can't wait to do more! Thanks for providing great RC content!❤

@@a1nova165 I just bought an 8s X-MAXX! Just waiting to go pick it up! Smokin deal too! two of every spare part possible, 6 batteries, 2 sets of wheels/tires, 2 servos, 2 esc's and 2 motors. All for $1600 CAD ($1100 USD). I am so PUMPED!

TLDR: There's no part that you really need to upgrade. The car is really really really good out of the box 6:08

You should pick up the Traxxas defender “body kit” as well, it comes white unpainted with all the accessories but it’s the same glossy finish and material as the stock bodies so don’t paint it and leave it white. That’s what I did for my TRX4M because I already had the Bronco and buying the defender body to mount to it when I want a different look works great! An all white defender with the black accessories looks SOOO CLEAN! Check it out for sure!

Good for you Mark! Those kids will love it. My 5 year old drives his all the time and its lasted well. His scx24 only lasted about 3 months before stuff started dying

That's why I love my SCX24. It was cheap to buy, cheap to mod. Its worth about 300 bucks now and I've upgraded everything except the axles and steering knuckles. New motor, new steering servo, new bead lock wheels with tires, new shocks, all new aluminum suspension links, new aluminum steering linkage, and new aluminum bumpers. All for less than 300 bucks total.

Thats awesome you picked some more up for the kids to use. And hey while they may get beat up, just means we get to look forward to a video titled something like "How durable is the TRX4M - Kindergarten tested!"

I bought one of these for my 3 year old grandson. The first thing that happened is both mirrors, and the snorkel fell off. He kept lifting it by the roof rack and pulled that off. I super glued all four pieces back on and so far they have stayed put.

Went with the Bronco, rig is balanced, Defender is rear heavy. And the light kit was my first upgrade.

I've said from the beginning that these handle like a 1/10 scale rig. And for the price you can't go wrong. Way to go Traxxas and more bodies styles please.

I love the Bronco. That's awsome how you let kindergartners drive them. Everything you do in the rc community is awsome.

I hope you're helping with their RC day, I think your energy and knowledge would be great for kindergarteners.

There’s definitely colors that look better in scale. For example the reds tend to make them look more plastic and toyish. Blue for Defender and black for Bronco just look solid in my opinion. Too faves

Ive had my K10 for a week, perfectly fine servo. I love the truck. Put a Injora Steering Link & blew the servo within 24hrs on the same line I had been doing all week. Just made this Channel for Father Son adventures & to share some free changes that make it night & day better for Crawling.

I prefer the defender personally I just think it looks super scale and plenty of room for accessories;)

So I bought one of these in the winter. Just after buying a panda hobby 6X6. And I crawled the same snow track (just blown snow into a park over the winter, cause I have snow here in the winter 😂😂). Anyways. Crawled the same course. And the TRX4M bronco did better in the course then the 6X6. It’s a great little truck

Agree. All I added was bearings, Injora tires and added 20w oil to stock shocks since they ship some almost empty. Hey mark when you gonna review fms k5? My fav lil rig now.

i have the blue defender and the gray defender i put light kits on both also bought the little trailer and added wood stakes and sides to it

I prefer the Bronco over Defender. And _Cyber Orange_ is the best color. Personally I have the blue bronco, with the lights kit :) Of other upgrades I've got the two-piece wheels with brass weight inlays and Mickey Thompson Baja Pro tyres for better grip. Also installed steel suspension linkages, and swapped in some stiffer springs.

Went to a hobby store today and they had a demo on of these. Awesome at slower speeds for rock crawling. Now I’m hooked

My fav is the green and orange defender. The bronco. I love the white OJ lol

I CANT BELIEVE THEY DIDNT MAKE IT 2 SPEED!! So disappointing... If FMS can do it, Traxxas could have done it too.

Loaning your cars to a kindergarten class is very nice of you. I would make one suggestion and I think you would have a great time. Go to the class and give the kids some training. You can adjust the speed for the cars. But, the one thing long drivers have a hard time with is over correcting. If the car starts to veer slightly left they will turn the wheel all the way to the right. You can give the kids some training and you will love it. If you take your sons and wife they would also have a blast.

I like the defender. The only bronco I would by would be the TRX-4 Bronco bc it’s clipless.

The light kit is killer for sure!!!! I picked up the Injora light bar for the defender is sweet. It cheap and bright!!! It works with the pro scale kit!!!🤘🤘🤘

I like the defender only because I have a green one. I have an injora light kit and light bar on it. power hobby wheels j concepts tires and my favorite part of the truck, danglers.

The trx4m (for me at least) has been really durable because I rolled it down a pretty long slope and nothing broke.

I’ve killed a servo , a motor and several of the original shocks won’t hold oil and yes I’ve busted several mirrors but I love this little truck

I only have a Defender but it’s a bit too heavy even with wheel weights. Looking forward to getting the new blue Bronco because it matches my sons art therapists Bronco.

I like that you said that is not necessary to upgrade it and for the lights i agree that is nice to have lights in an rc car.

You’ll need to add weight down low, crawl gears, injora purple motor, also a new Servo.

You must have received the last green & grey versions because they are not in stock right now. I'm waiting for the green one. Pro light kit is on the way from Traxxas!! Awesome how excited you get over these mini crawlers. Mine is a 1:10 Axial SCX10 Jeep Rubicon JK "fully loaded". Can't wait for my mini!!

I was going to get one of these but opted for the FMS FCX24 K5. For the same amount of money you get portals,a two speed,and the super nice K5 Blazer body. If FMS can do it for that price point why can't Traxxas?

I don't think I'll ever buy a trxm4 inless of a deal.. still probably not.. I love my k5 black blazer.. only gotta flip a switch to change gears..

My grandson and I each bought one together he got the bronco I the d110 they are great his has the advantage of a shorter rear bumper . I like the scale rack for accessories .we abused both of them and they are holding up well lots of fun

I’d do the Bronco, but only if the speed transmission actually does something for it. Want to turn it into a Hennessey Velociraptor 500.

I bought one of these when they first came out now me and my whole family have 8 in total perfect truck for the beginner all the way to the experienced rc driver… I was able to throw it in the back pack and fly with it without the hassle of a bulky lipo charger and full size lipos for the price you can’t go wrong !

Signed up for the box month or two ago. Looking forward to it!

Agreed.Bronco performs better but defender looks fantastic. Lots more going on with it.

I have the Gray Defender but I’m getting the FMS Blazer it’s way better then the M. I was going to get a Bronco but I won’t be buying anymore M’s the FMS is next on the list.

If you really really think the mirrors are going to break off when you hand them to the kiddies, can't you pop them off for the event?

The defender just looks much nicer overall. The bronco just looks kind of blend.

i also have the green defender, it looks so good. I changed the wheels and tires to something smaller and more scale looking though
