It's cool that this show was able to get the news guy from the Rome series from HBO.

Arsinoe was taken by Caesar to Rome to be used as a sacrifice on the steps of the temple Jupiter during his Triumph (in place of Cleopatra). It was said that during the triumphant parade the Roman crowd was so taken by Arsinoe (15 years old at the time) that Caesar had no choice but to spare her life by the end of the triumph.

Like that this documentary considers the possibility of mixed race. Also like that the actress for Cleopatra had a prominent nose like on the coinage yet also mixed race. Well done.

I very much enjoyed this story of Cleopatra. The science put in on the artificial skull is amazing. We now have a good idea of Arsinoe's beauty and by contrast i agree that Cleopatra must have been equally as beautiful if not more. It can be difficult to get a precise depth of the flesh of the face, but for the most part science has been quite effective at deciding the reconstructive measurements of the face. Very impressive narration. Thank you for a wonderful trip through the history of this amazing Egyptian family.

I don't know about the beauty part but I like she's being called out as a killer. A killer that people today honor and with pride swelling their chests. I wonder if being from a line of "inbreds" caused her psychology to be what it was? Who knows. Anyway, Hatshepsut is more interesting by far.

She was born in Jerusalem. If you consider the way she committed suicide she was most likely a jewess
